Great video! One thing we hear as we talk about our RV life is “I wish I could do that” and “you’re really living the life.” We really enjoy meeting people on the road and making memories that last a lifetime! Oh we have to side with Karri on this one! May the force be with you!
Just like the PC (personal computer) this life is personal. Full time for 6 years now and the ups and downs, the good days and bad days, the group times and the alone times, the daily grind and the 'on tour' days are AWESOME! We've seen more of our families than if we were anchored and we've met new friends. The lifestyle is what you and your traveling partner make it and that is as personal as it can get. My wife and I know that Together is our favorite place to be. Love it and love your videos. BTW - Star Wars. ;-)
I agree that I’ve come across FT families who are homeschooling & the kids are amazing & very well socialized. Exposed to so much nature (biology etc) , engineering, electronics, & so much more! Like farm kids, they are taught to think critically, problem solve, & learn how to do maintenance & repairs as well!! Whoohoo!
My dog and I started full time camper trailer living just a month ago and we love it. However, I still work a full time job so I can't go too far yet but I mostly work from home. I love the videos you provide
Any marital counselor on the planet would say “start with a pinch and finish with the lightsaber.” Great play on the “skeeters” ~ I had no idea the “skeeters”in Georgia were big enough to carry a trumpet. Big love y’all. Thank you.
Star Wars. I'm a part timer and live the same on the road as I do at home mostly. By doing this it has allowed me the means to do more adventures where I go. Love the channel 😂.
AB Roadrunners. Liked your video its so true. I did learn something never heard of the swingers or the upside down pineapple. We been.on the road since 2018. We got caught in covid and had to lock down the whole time. We started you tube for grand kids wanting to know where we are and seen. There was a lot of our travels never posted. We say hi and wave when out and about or stay to our self. Stay safe catch ya later.
Y’all are great, been following you for a while now and remember when the tornado warning while y’all were in Myrtle beach. That boardwalk around the lake is a work of art, don’t know if you know this but Earl built it with just a helper. Great subjects in this video. Looks to me like you have 26.8 thousand friends!
Didn't know that about that boardwalk. We did get to talk quite a bit with his son in law - such great people and we enjoyed our time there. It was honestly our most peaceful stop in 2 years of full timing and that speaks volumes. There are so many great things about that place it is hard to get it all out. They even have free ice! May not sound like much but boy did it come in handy!
Oh yeah the eating out thing! Maybe the weekend warriors do that cause they’re on a short vacay . . But most pt regulars & ft folks do a lot of cooking in!! ;-)
Loved the friends segment!!! We have lived in the same sticks and bricks for 14 years and can count on one hand the neighbors we know on a first name basis. We follow your philosophy happy together and little need for much more! Sorry Karri but without Star Trek leading the way there would be no Star Wars.😊
Oh Bill, I’m disappointed ☹️ Kidding… thank you! We knew 2 neighbors in 17 years. One was a nice older Italian couple that lived next door and the other was a crazy lady/family across the street. She was having a fit one day and pushed a recliner out of her front door and rolled it into the yard.
LMAO.... I am just a part timer, I am retired on disability, the wife still works full time. She cant work from the road due to her job. But some of those things you all mentioned are just way out there. Anyway you all just keep making these great videos! Oh and BTW you cant compare Star Wars to Star Trek. its apples and pineapples...LOL They are both great but different.
lol! Thank you! The comments are very much how people perceive full time RV travel and you’re right, it’s way out there and comical! FYI…team Star Wars! 😀 Have a great day! Karri
You are awesome and we always love reading your comments :) I don't know if we would call ourselves "normal" because we still act like children lol. This whole Star Wars vs Star Trek thing was a legit discussion throughout the video and wasn't part of our concept. It started when we went to shoot the opener and just took off but was real. When we sent it to our kids for review before posting they just laughed and said "OMG it was just like being at home with you 2 " yep, they claim we are far from normal lol
I almost booked a site at a clothing optional camp ground. Thankfully I found out before I went there. Now I’m very careful to check the list of features in the siting.😂
That was a great one, entertaining and informative. Star Trek became Disney didn't get ahold of it and we'll pretty much be sticking to ourselves but being polite and wave ans say hi.
That is how we do it. Always polite and wave. The UA-cam thing has changed us a bit in regard to that though. We got "spotted" quite a bit so we have become more used to that and talking to viewers / subscribers in the wild. It is something we take seriously now and always make time for. That aside, if nobody knows who we are, they probably do think we are anti-social as all we do is wave and say hi lol
Startrek, this isn't even a question. It would be interesting to meet friends on the road with kids. It would give us another reason to travel some place that we otherwise might not go. But we do a lot of RVing to family so we haven't had a lot of interactions with other RVers. But, that does raise a question. If you're at a gas station and someone pulls in with the same model RV, do you go up to them and say hi? We were in Arkansas and two of the same exact model rolled about 5mins apart. All three of us guys got together and started talking for a few minutes.
I'm outspoken at times, so here it goes. People who assume anything are wrong if not 100 percent of the time 99.99 percent of the time, which means they're ignorant. I don't assume anything, I subscribed to life redesigned to find out about the full time rv lifestyle. I have aunts and uncles who are only part time rvers and I have gone on vacations with them over the years. My aunts uncles have Airstream travel trailers, aka the silver bullet. Take care, Alan.
You are so right Alan. This is exactly why we continue to make these videos. With so many "Big Channels" pumping out videos every other day with fear mongering just to make money, it is nice to see that people are wanting to see the actual truth again! We are happy to present that truth in our own style and we have an absolute blast making videos like this!
Hey guys another banger. I love it. Straight up. So I plan on getting a truck camper and hitting the road in a couple more years. Save me a sight. What's the chances of getting your number. I'm totally kidding. This getting your video's early is money well spent. Oh yeah I seen "Canadian Lawrence". Ty for that. There's really nothing to that other than alot of people like to know where you are from and it just kinda stuck. Anyway I enjoyed spending 20 minutes with you guys. See you in the next one 👍 🇨🇦 👋
@@liferedesigned No ty required. What were you doing up so late??? 😜. And ya most definitely. I don't have a clue so I can take lessons. Not on the marrital stuff though. Ever wonder what Nvragn means? 😜😜
OK, first things first. There is no way that Star Wars is better than Star Trek. How can you even think a flash-in-the-pan like Star Wars could compete with an EPIC masterpiece like Star Trek it's been around since 1964 and has no plans of slowing down anytime soon. Sorry, Karri. Secondly, Bob, if you look back at the video when you're standing in front of that huge tree, you look like Bob Ross. Once I pictured it, I couldn't stop laughing. I love watching your videos because you're not pulling any punches, and you put it out there straight. I, too, only have 1 best friend, and she goes with me everywhere my truck is just kidding, of course, it's my wife of 47 years. People just don't get it. Take care and stay safe out there.
Thank You John! (Bob Here) Star Trek has always been a top show for me. The funny part about this video is that the whole debate wasn't planned ...the start of the video was us just actually having the disagreement lol 47 years! That is so awesome.
I have to have a home base. It cannot be on wheels. I love to travel but it's nice to sleep in a real bed and have my open space. Not cramped in an RV. I have a three bedroom house which I plan to sell but will replace it with a newer manufactured home. It will be like camping having the pool and clubhouse. If I get behind on the laundry I can go to the laundry area and use multiple machines. Even my two cats will have their own place. No more cats waking my wife up in the middle of the night. Well thanks for the video I hate both Star wars and Star Trek. It's a friend that made me watch everytime I came over his house and had to wear them dumb headphones that were uncomfortable. 73
Best part about this is that there is a way to do it for everyone. We have a real bed and never feel cramped BUT we also had a 2000 square foot home that we used only half of that space. It is all about what is important to you. For us it is all about travel and seeing this amazing country and not staying in one place. Life is short, enjoy how you live and other can enjoy there way. Star Wars or Star Trek, both would be better without headphones!
@@liferedesigned yeah I have a 1100 and some home and want to move. It's going to take an act of congress and Senate to get out of there. I'm not bringing all that stuff. A line must be drawn. The home we are planning to get has furniture so only bed stuff and kitchen stuff will come. I don't know how it will all get done but it will happen. As of now we have about a tiny homes living quarters the rest is piled up and hardly can move in the spare rooms Also have two sheds and porch to clear out. 30 years of stuff well hopefully it will be gone by Christmas. 73
These are great actors ... they are like the Brady Bunch! ... imagine if they were real people and they were this nice and sincere and adorable .... but no couple could be as sweet as these actors .... or ...are they possibly real people?????
if you think we are "actors" you clearly are new to the channel. Anyone that has ever seen one of our videos with us attempting to "act" knows we suck at "acting"
Do you have kids? Because my now 13 y/o son has been cooking since he was 10. Entire meals. I can think of at least half his friends who also cook. We live in sticks & bricks. Maybe in the past kids didn’t cook, but the current generation of parents is more vigilant about teaching their kids life skills!
We've seen far too many people on the road with a tow vehicle that has no business pulling the rig they are (you can tell by looking sometimes 😂), & Star Trek > Star Wars #imwithBob 😂. Great list you guys.
@@liferedesigned That was definitely Kenny! I (Chrissy) would NEVER disrespect Star Wars like that! 🤣😂 Ok.... Ok ... I have to confess! I've never been able to stay awake long enough to make it through Star Trek or Star Wars... I know... I know! I'm lame! 😂😂😂
I enjoy watching you guys, but your comments on schools really hurt. I retired a couple of years ago after 38 years of teaching and worked my tail off and gave my students love and care to help them improve their lives and give real life experiences and my colleagues did the same. My husband and I are rv’ing about 50% of the time and we’ve run into people disparaging teachers in too many places. If a family can homeschool and give their kids a great education, great!, but please give some respect to those of us who try so hard to serve children in the best way. We took our middle schoolers winter camping every year. It would be great if some full time rv’ers who have skills would volunteer at camps or schools to share their skills with kids instead of making assumptions that we only teach to tests. Thank you for your videos and safe travels to you.
As parents of 3 children whom all attended public schools and whom also have homeschooled our children for a few years - we have formed opinions on what worked best for us and only describe our opinions. At no time did we ever say anything ill towards teachers. Our statement was in regards to curriculum only. There is zero doubt that current school policies across this country are test result driven only. If more teachers were given freedom to teach, then our opinion would be invalid. Unfortunately, most (there are always going to be exceptions) teachers are forced to get test results over real life experiences. This does not in any way reflect on the actual teachers themselves but on a failing system.
1. Based on what we've seen even the RV manufacturers don't expect you to eat at "home". There are a lot of very large, very expensive motorhomes that have tiny kitchen spaces. Our 30yo bus has a full 8ft of countertop, broken up by the sink and stove, and it's one of the biggest RV kitchen spaces we've seen. 2. Full time RV living is not going to be cheap in the long run. Right from the start your RV home is going to have the same or more problems than a stick and bricks home. 3. BOTH Star Trek and Star Wars suck.....
The Jetsons and Then Star Trek , Star Wars, Jetsons was imagination, Roddenberry broke the barrier in Hollywood, Lucas fed the masses with emotional imaginary good vs evil characters... time and technology
People think you’re broke (if in an older or smaller RV); people think you’re filthy rich (new large 5vrs or MHs . & some are); your not a Real camper (unless you are tent camping, have 3 vans full of clothes & food, are running all your electrical wires for your brought along TVs & stereos! Lol); there is so much!! But everyone does what they want to do!! ;-),
Camping in a fifth wheel that ain't camping that is what I was told, you got too much money, Camping in a Windstream you ain't camping same here. Try roughing it in a tent and not a tentaminium or some call it glamping. A good tear drop trailer with just enough to get by in a primitive campground or just in the woods. That's real camping to some. I just heard these statements sorry for the wrong idea , a tent will work the same also, I actually done that. Even tents that set themselves up are the norm today. Not too many sleeping under the stars did that in our night clothes in the front yard at 3 in the morning when we were little, mom was outside with us sitting in a lawn chair we laid on a sheet in the grass. It was hot in that house in PA. 73
So, when we see comments like this it is always met with an eyeroll for one simple reason. How can ANYONE tell another person that their way of camping is wrong? I (Bob) had a brother with Muscular Dystrophy would loved to be out and the only way he could "camp" was with an RV and severely specialized equipment. He died 5 days before his 21st birthday but he enjoyed every single bit of his life. The same can be said for the THOUSANDS of people that can only enjoy this lifestyle due to a 5th wheel, Motorcoach etc due to so many reasons. Why would anyone try to invalidate them and tell them they are not "camping"? Is that what this world really has become? Calling out others for terminology?
@@liferedesigned I guess it's what you want to do. to clarify camping . It's when you don't live there and spending a few days, weeks or months and you move on to the next site that's camping if you see "not camping" it just means that person has a different definition. I told you mine here. I guess everyone has their own idea of camping. I like to get away from TV, Internet and the usual going out to eat. I like cooking out. Even when traveling I bring my number 6 Griswold skillet, a butane stove and meat to cook. And I'm not camping it's called Ron's deli. Easy on easy off no lights or waiters to wait on. Rest areas are my location. 73
First time I've seen you. I think Husband may have watched you before, while I'm still in bed - I arise after he does in our retirement life. It's quite lovely. Full time RVers here And Star Trek -- DUH! Live long and Prosper Number One, Engage!👉
I gotta say I’m really torn on the Star Trek/StR wars thing!! I grew up with Star Trek & Loved the original show (as campy as it was at times!) as far as movies, loved the wrath of Khan & the Voyage Home!! The first few Star Wars movies came out while I was in college & loved them too! I didn’t like a lot of the additional movies . . Until last year my adult daughter & I watched them in timeline chronological order (not when they were made time) & it was wonderful!! I love both!!
Bob always was a Star Trek guy - he did take us out to see the first Star Wars movie under Disney in 3D years ago and he absolutely loved it. There is hope lol
Mid life crisis's are AWESOME. You get to buy motorcycles, fast cars, go around without a cell phone, watch movies made before they had some liberal agenda (nothing against liberals (Oh. Wait. No, screw liberals)), listen to good music that doesn't suck, all kinds of fun stuff. Just watch the liquor, hangovers are way worse now. You EARNED it, go get it!
@@liferedesigned thank you for your videos! I really enjoy them. If you have time I invite you to watch my story unfold. I will be FT RVing soon due to circumstances beyond my control…
lololololololol. We are literally cracking up about this comment as we ordered a pizza on Sunday (travel day to our new location) and a medium pizza cost us $34 - Admittingly we don't order out often anymore but OMG that was the most expensive pizza we ever had and it was just a 14" pepperoni!
We see FAR more of the LGBTQ LMNOP-XYZ communities than pink flamingos, pineapples, and loofahs. We even have an "alternative" campground just a few miles from our home.
I really like your vids, as I research the RV life for us, but the sweeping generalizations y’all make sometimes are starting to turn me off. Not all public schools are bad. Most parents aren’t cut out to homeschool their children, even if they didn’t need to work. Many kids aren’t cut out for homeschooling. Being polite isn’t the end all, be all for a child. My child is taking high school courses in middle school, and will take college classes in high school. It will cut an entire year off his undergraduate degree. (What he wants to do requires an advanced degree) About 1/3 of his school is on this track. Thanks to lockdown we found out that he doesn’t learn well from me, and I’m not good at teaching. He thrives in a school environment where he can see his friends regularly, and can work ahead at his own pace. I get that you may have a preference for homeschooling, but I’d ask you to consider that it’s not right for everyone and plenty of kids are doing wonderful things at regular schools. One of the reasons I watch your channel is because you’re usually quite neutral. There’s no obvious political views expressed. It is a literal breath of fresh air in a currently bonkers environment. I AM SO SICK OF POLITICS! I’m here, watching UA-cam instead of TV to get away from it because it was ruining my health. You have every right to your views and opinions, no matter how different from my own. I just beg you not to bring it onto this channel. Your content has been such an oasis in a desert of crap these past few months. Please don’t let the crap flood in figuratively, like it did literally for y’all in this video! Thank you for your consideration. Oh and I’m also a GenXer, and I have to vote STAR WARS because seeing it in theaters made it so much more epic than TV Star Trek. 😉
So, here is the thing - you can't praise us for sharing our views on one subject and then ask us not to share on others. No disrespect meant but this is OUR channel and we run it and upload content as WE desire. As with any channel, our views are our own - if it aligns with you, great - if it doesn't, there are plenty of channels that will. Asking us to not be us to better suit you is honestly rather insulting. We actually are not neutral at all. We are conservatives, Christian, pot smoking, empty nesters whom are very vocal about wrong and right. We just choose when and where we decide to slip that information in. No difference in our channel for over 4 years. Safe Travels, Karri
Sorry Bob -[------- Star Wars 👾 For the squeaters, fill spray bottle w/ water and put 20-30 drops of vanilla extract; shake; spray all over you....great repellant. 💦🦟

I, too, only have 1 best friend, and she goes with me everywhere my truck is just kidding, of course, it's my wife of 47 years. People just don't get it. Take care and stay safe out there.
Thank You John! (Bob Here) Star Trek has always been a top show for me. The funny part about this video is that the whole debate wasn't planned ...the start of the video was us just actually having the disagreement lol
47 years!
Star Wars was better until Disney bought it.
great point! Disney did give us some amazing Star Wars rides though - Some of the best we have been on, so there is that lol
Totally agree Disney has completely destroyed Star Wars.
gotta remember that most kids can't cook. both are great. grew up with trek and enjoyed wars.
Very true!
Wait, is this Kenny or Chrissy? One of you is off my Christmas Card list 🤣🤣
@@liferedesigned That was definitely Kenny! I (Chrissy) would NEVER disrespect Star Wars like that! 🤣😂
Ok.... Ok ... I have to confess! I've never been able to stay awake long enough to make it through Star Trek or Star Wars... I know... I know! I'm lame! 😂😂😂
As for friends, real friends most people don’t have very many really good friends at all.
absolutely correct.
Star Wars !!🤣
#teamKarri
Y’all are too hilarious!!!!
Welcome to our daily life 🤣🤣
Star Trek. First and best.
Another for #TeamBob - he is over there smiling away! 🤣🤣
Original trek I grew up on
#TeamBob 🤣🤣
Star Trek!
Clint??? No! 😂
What is wrong with liking both Star Wars and Star Trek
Wait, is that a possibility? lol
NOoOOPPE Star Wars is supreme! :p
Thank You and welcome to #teamKarri
It all comes down to what floorplan you value the most. Our layout has the perfect blend of "cooking" vs living space.
Star Wars all the way Karri 😂
Bob is crying 🤣🤣🤣 lol
😂😂 well I was born in 1970 so I was raised on star wars
The Jetsons and Then Star Trek , Star Wars, Jetsons was imagination, Roddenberry broke the barrier in Hollywood, Lucas fed the masses with emotional imaginary good vs evil characters... time and technology
Okay, we both find common ground here with the Jetsons! great call out
Is it true that boondocking RVers cause earthquakes ?
And flooding
Star wars is better than Star track. By all means. The original one that is. 6 days I'll be 54. Grilling just has a better flavor cooking outside.
Happy upcoming Birthday! Grill a steak for us!
Star Trek 💯%
Norman….Noooooo! 🥺
Kidding, have a great day!
Karri
We like Star Wars! #jandawithkarri
Bob is literally dying laughing at this! 🤣🤣
By myself and star wars, lol sorry.
Lmao Bob is beside himself due to all the Star Wars love ❤️
People think you’re broke (if in an older or smaller RV); people think you’re filthy rich (new large 5vrs or MHs . & some are); your not a Real camper (unless you are tent camping, have 3 vans full of clothes & food, are running all your electrical wires for your brought along TVs & stereos! Lol); there is so much!! But everyone does what they want to do!! ;-),
So true!
Full time RVers here
And Star Trek -- DUH! Live long and Prosper
Number One, Engage!👉
Oh wow! This just made our day! Well it really made Bob's day but I still like you anyways lol
Star Trek
Robert??? I think autocorrect got you again! You meant to say Star Wars…lol 😀
Karri
Team Star Trek -captain Kirk, Spock all the way!
Thank you for having great taste!
Star Trek all the way!!!
Harold! Noooo… lol
TEAM STARWARS
#TeamKarri thanks you! ❤️❤️
@@liferedesigned thank you for your videos! I really enjoy them. If you have time I invite you to watch my story unfold. I will be FT RVing soon due to circumstances beyond my control…
We will check you out!
@@liferedesigned thanks so much
Star Wars is far superior to Star Trek 😊
Eat out? You know how expensive that is 😮
Nobody wants to be my friend. 🤷🏼♂️
lololololololol.
That is the great thing about this lifestyle- there is a way to enjoy it now matter what your preferences are.
Star Trek is alot better than Star Wars 🎉
Bob says thank you!
Safe Travels,
Karri
both star tek or star wars suck
Well, aren’t you just a bag of sunshine?☀️
Sorry Bob -[------- Star Wars 👾 For the squeaters, fill spray bottle w/ water and put 20-30 drops of vanilla extract; shake; spray all over you....great repellant. 💦🦟
Bob is sad but will smell like vanilla in about 10 minutes 🤣 win - win for me!
You are both wrong. Flash Gordon is the #1 space hero
that is another of Bob's favorites!
