My brother was born in Augsburg. My father was in service to the USA we lived there for a mere 2 years because Willy Branaunt decided that the US had to many troops. It was the experience of my life to have lived in such a beautiful city after living in Honolulu I found the street sweeps wonderful because, there was trash everywhere then. To learn about the Fugruer family and how generous they were...back before social services.
Nice to hear your story! Thanks for sharing. How long ago is it then? It must have been in the late 60's/early 70's. Regarding moving from Honolulu to Augsburg I would imagine the opposite: we have no beaches and the weather is quite harsh here :)

Train Station Haunstetter str. is just only for regional an suburb trains between Augsburg central and a few destinations like Munich central, Ingolstdat or Weilheim
I was in munich almost 1 year, there I work back to daeschinger printing press somewhere in ismaning. Still I have my registration in bobingen... VPO.. TY!
I was in burgwalden late 1997 to 1998,I live there back for almost a year. The door is open for me still having key in that house. But never go back there without any permission before... VPO.. TY!
But I quit to work there, that was not nice anymore first is to far to travel everyday, also that we have very big frame to print to heavy for me... VPO.. TY!
I use to go to hamburg alone too, but after my experience not recieving my letter from bobingen to hamburg losing little cash of german mark together with my deutsche bank passbook. Never go there anymore at that time... VPO.. TY!
