The banker Jakob Fugger was the richest man in the world at the time. He had a monopoly on copper and many silver mines. He influenced emperor and pope elections. He built the Fuggerei, the first social housing estate in the world. It still exists today. Rent €1 per year.
@@raakaa1829 Why would you skip the cathedral? It is over 1,000 years old and one of the oldest cathedrals in Germany. It has the oldest stain glass windows in the world, a 1,000 years old bronze portal, two 1,000 years old bells and four over 500 years old paintings by Hans Holbein the older.
So glad you’ve discovered this marvelous town. I was lucky enough to have lived there for several years, courtesy of the USAF. That was many years ago, and I miss it still
Gersthofen (where the Video started) is a separate small town. The Yoghurt drink isn‘t typical german, well it is but it‘s brought by immigants from turkish culture (they also invented the Döner in Berlin). Nice to see a tourists view about my hometown, thx for that ✌️
i live there lol and that „protest“ is the Klima Camp of Augsburg.basically they just camp there for weeks and take turns with their shifts.Quite an interesting type of protest
@@Escape_With_Us_Official There're lots of wine regions in germany, so wine is absolutely fine. The best wold be visiting the little wine festivals in smaller towns in autumn.

I recommand to add/ skip the Dom (church) and have frist a walk to the tiny bridges around Mittlerer Lech and stroll the old alleys.

Skoda belongs to Volkswagen. Each Skoda is mainly made out of Volkswagen parts.
It was actually a decent little car aswell! They just get a bad rap where we're from. 🫡
00:01 You are NOT in Augsburg.
Well you drink wine in Germany? Germany means beer and Bavaria means Weiss Bier
One can't hurt

Gersthofen is NOT Augsburg.
