Fishing Fraser Island

- We spent almost 5 months on Fraser Island in 2020 and in this video I take you through some tips on how I caught Tailor and Trevally during our stay.
All of the video is shot around Poyungan Rocks but I applied the same principles at Yidney Rocks, Happy Valley, the Maheno, Indian Head, Waddy Point and Ngkala Rocks with success.
Beach conditions constantly changed due to moving sand, weed and wind or beach conditions.
Hope you enjoy the video.

Awesome 😎
Great video
Really enjoyed it and learnt a bit as well. Thanks!!!
Thanks for watching 👍
Just came back from Fraser fishing waddy point and got heaps on the halco 20g lure
Well done. I can't get enough distance with a 20 but they'll all work.
I've got a 55g I'd like to try but too heavy for my rod I use
We head back this month 😀
Hope you had fun
so cool
Good catch.. nice video by the way.
Thank you :)
Awesome vid 💪👌👍
Thanks Sam :)
Deadly brother , watching from geraldton wa
Thank you Megan :)
Ha just came back from there 2 hours ago
Awesome Sean, how was the fishing?
5 months!!!!!!
Back living here now :)
That was incredible. what lures were you using?
Halco Twistys 40gm
@@IndefiniteLeave ok thanks that's great. was their a specific tide you would fish at?
@@All4Survival no, fished all tides but just different locations depending on tide. Low tide I'd fish the back of holes and higher tide more the gutters. :)
@@IndefiniteLeave ok thanks so much. We are going to Fraser at Easter so really looking forward to some great fishing :D
@@All4Survival you're welcome, have fun. We hope to be back just before or after school holidays :)
Hey mate. Some great fish.. what's your favourite set up for casting slugs?
Hi Blake. I have a 10ft 6 Shimano Rod with Salt reel. Need a new reel soon though, this one has had too many waves come over the top of it now.
I have 3 surf rods but never use them now.
30 or 40g Halco Twisty slug I find is a great all round lure for a wide variety of fish all around Oz so it tends to be my go to :)
Thanks for the info mate, will definitely be grabbing some of the halco's.. been looking at a shimano catana 4-7kg rod online , seems very cheap but has some good reviews.
@@blakemorris3880 mine is the Catana Coastline 3-5kg. Bit light for the 40g Halco but that's what I use mostly. 😀
I love fishing i’m enjoying to catch some fish but but I’m scared of no crocodile in there
No crocs there mate but plenty up north :)
