Out of three he is the most comic accurate to the comic book. His personality is on point here.

The scene is great for anyone OTHER than Spider-Man. He would never joke around like this while innocent lives are on the line. Yes, he jokes around and would do this comedy bit if nobody was in danger (mostly to calm his nerves and to goad his rivals into making mistakes), but the instant civilian lives are on the line, the jokes would cease and he would immediately stop that truck. The fact that it plows through that intersection and likely kills everyone in those cars makes this not a comic accurate Spider-Man. Don't get me wrong though, Andrew is a good one just they got his character SO WRONG in this movie during the most important times. This movie portrays him as the LEAST comic accurate Spider-Man.

This version of Spiderman was the most "Spider like" if that makes sense. It was also more true to the comics with his personality.
Rough year for Gwen's mom, I just realized. She lost both her husband and her daughter within a few months of each other and both of their deaths were in some way related to Spider-Man. That's gotta leave her some kinda fucked up about him.
She didn't know Spider Man was involved thought. Captain Stacy asks Peter to leave the scene before he dies precisely for that reason, so people won't unfairly pin that on him. As for Gwen, her mother didn't knew she was actually dating Spider Man, and electro was a city wide threat. Gwen was heading to the airport, so she simply being in the wrong place in the wrong time could make sense to the family
Andrew Garfield was hands down the best Spider-Man.

I wish they would give Andrew a 3rd and maybe even 4th movie with some better choice in casting and plotlines as that's the main reason The Amazing Spider Man are bottom on my list for Spider Man movies.
His appearance in No Way Home hopefully sparked new Andrew fans as he was a cut above Tobey and Tom in that movie. Stole every scene he was in.

I’ve watched it enough to remember that Peter revealed that he was Spider Man in the first movie, which then ended with them getting back together despite the promise Peter made to Captain Stacy. This movie takes place at least a few months after the first movie, which is more than enough time for Gwen to get use to Peter’s tardiness from being Spider Man.
I just realized Peter could have stopped this truck in the very beginning, using his web or even by bare hands, but he chose it to run the whole way until it hit a bus

This opening sequence is often overlooked and criticized for showing Peter being quippy while people is in danger, supposedly acting out of character.

This opening was truly amazing. I just wished the rest of the film was consistent. It really falls off fast.

One of the best things about Andrew’s Spider-Man that neither Tobey or Tom Holland could perfect. Is the slight push in Spidey’s playful and jokester personality into more of a delinquent and troublemaker personality. Such as actively humiliating his opponents and teasing them, even in the No Way Home movie, Andrew still kept that flavor of a prankster in his Spider-Man.
Here Tobey and Tom are getting hit by trains while Andrew is getting hit by trucks 🤣

nah. I rewatched tasm 1 and 2 years ago and realized he's the most accurate Spider-Man thus i became an Andrew fan. A lot of people think Andrew was the worst Spider-Man bc of the 2nd movie's bad plot which is honestly stupid. ashame people cant distinguish between a bad plot and an actors amazing performance.

His Peter was a bit too cool, not enough dorky/wimpy - but already being cool and full of cheek translated AWESOMELY into making his spidey the absolute best.

Peter wasn’t dorky and wimpy in the OG Ditko and Lee story. He was just an awkward wallflower dressed like a typical nerd. Which aside from the aesthetic, Andrew did portray that for his Peter.

Honestly, I was more upset at the time because my childhood Spider-man was suddenly gone. but after a long time, I started to see it. especially when I started seeing how Spidey is in comics.
Andrew Garfield is a perfect choice for Peter Parker and Spider-Man but I wish that they would stop calling him Ultimate Peter Parker, just because there had been a few elements taken from the Ultimate Spider-Man Comics doesn’t mean that he should be Ultimate Peter Parker especially since the movies were made by Sony (and I don’t trust Sony) and because there were no other Marvel Superheroes in the Amazing Spider-Man Movie World but I will agree that I think Andrew Garfield was the Best Spider-Man even though the movies were the worst
