7:09 - you literally interrupted the guy whilst he was talking with the other people, the response was clear (i'm Scottish not German) and was far more kind that i'd expect him to be since he was interrupted. I'd say that was a very polite person.
7:14 the guy wasn't rude (from a German perspective) - you asked a question, he answered and got back to the two people who had vouchers for the tour 😄 That's just the mentality here in Germany - people are a lot more reserved and in general just a lot more blant and, let' s say "efficient" in their conversations 😄

I am actually from Berlin but right now I am backpacking through south east asia. The first half of the video you kind of made me miss the city, but when you talked to the "nice" people (especially at the boat tour) and remembered me of the insane prices there I was very glad to be in asia now and hopefully for a lot longer... Thanks for your honest and realistic vlogs.
:-D Living in Berlin I have to tell you that you passed at least 3 Places where you could have had a proper breakfast. One of them is the EINSTEIN, opposite to where you sat on the bench to enjoy the croissant. ;-)

"jetzt sind wir dran" means: "now it's our turn!" 🤣 most Germans are meticulous and accurate, very efficient and also quite humorless. 😅 I wish you a lot of strength for the near future here in Germany with the german mentality! Joking aside, what I mean is our efficiency and the directness and above all the pragmatism is getting used to and could be stressful sometimes... so before we have time for hospitality, the current task must first be completed. 🤣 I hope you meet many great people while you're staying here. ✌️ There are so many nice things for you to see and to try here, not at least the typical german local food. And above all, you should definitely buy a "Gartenzwerg"! 😉

Berlin was founded in 1237 ( First documented in 1244 ) but some Historiens think Berlin is much older. The oldest Towns in Germany are Trier, Worms, Xanten, Cologne a.o. their are more than 2000 years old.
I travel international for a living. SIM cards aren’t necessary just get T-Mobile snd apply Global plus and it’s $50 a month for all that you mentioned and 15g of data at 5g and then tethered to 3g.
So unfortunately, I only filmed in Berlin, but I did visit a few cities! I was enjoying some brother time though, so I didn't film the others. I'm sorry, but to be honest I needed the two weeks without the camera. 🙏🏻💪🏻

I was in Germany in the early 90's and the majority of the people didn't want to even look at us. The people from the company we were visiting were kind and polite, but people on the street were very different.
Love these kind of videos! Yeah definitely culture in Germany is different from mexico or se asia, but meditarranean cultures are warmer. It was also cool to see you visiting a place I have already been to.

Germany is one of 30 European countries I’m looking forward to visiting. I may have to travel to Germany more than once since I’m wanting to visit Berlin & Munich the first time, then see Frankfurt and Hamburg another time, as I’m planning to add another country to visit with Deutschland

That's just our culture in Germany, we're a lot more reserved than Americans and not really into smalltalk. Most people are nice and helpful when you actually get into a conversation with them, just don't expect everyone to have smalltalk with you

Germans can be more introverted like the japanese, they are not the type to be striking up random conversations in the street, or their women. They like to be on their own, minding their business; kinda like New york people.. While more conservative type in the red states can be more chatty and nosy, easier to chat to.

That's just our culture in Germany, we're a lot more reserved than Americans and not really into smalltalk. Most people are nice and helpful when you actually get into a conversation with them, just don't expect everyone to have smalltalk with you

Germans can be more introverted like the japanese, they are not the type to be striking up random conversations in the street, or their women.
