This is the Omega Seamaster Professional reference 2254.50 also known as the Peter Blake.

Congrats! After owning a lot of divers I ended up getting this exact Seamaster at the beginning of the year and it’s the one for me. I love everything about it. I also went the independent watchmaker route for the same reasons you mentioned . My local watchmaker is Omega trained/certified so I lucked out there. It wasn’t cheap (same price as sending it to Omega) but I had a say in everything that was done to the watch and the turn around time was super quick. It’s awesome! Enjoy!

Congratulations! I’m still figuring mine out. I think a field type watch since hiking and the outdoors is my main activity, and where I’d where that sort of watch. I totally agree with Omega, and the Seamaster is stunning, even better you chose a used watch with some history. It looks absolutely great on you!

I think I probably had two dozen watches at one point but gave many away when I got my grail watch. Now I’ve pared my collection down to 5. I really only wear two regularly. I have a Swatch Irony that I love and wear occasionally; so two are basically sitting on the sidelines. Now I have my eye on a new watch I just discovered ( a Scurfa ). Damn! There’s always another one!!!
Looks as if I’ll be giving two more watches away as I don’t wear them and I like for them to be used . It makes it almost believable for me to keep telling my significant other that my collection is not growing.

Great move ,it looks awesome 👌 good choice on the size and movement. I've just sent my vintage speedmaster to Switzerland for movement service and they refused to do service unless they changed the pushers, crystal and hands. I refused but it still cost me . Well i did get a nice leather box i suppose.

Seamasters are also my grails. It's like the perfect balance of lowkey and unmatched wrist presence (Rolex are way too loud for daily uses ; for me personally).

It's always been Omega for me to! I bought my Seamaster 14 years ago (I went for the Quartz) and it's still my favourite watch. Coincidentally I picked up an Orient Kamasu (Red version) last week and it's a belter!!

I got into watches in 2016 but was immediately turned off by the collectors that kept their watches on a pillow, in a safe, underground with 2 armed guards. As soon as I see white cotton gloves in a watch review I skip the video. A steel watch is made to be worn, thousands of men around the world wear your watch every day so you enjoy it with them. I like your approach to collecting because not all young guys are rich & it’s very normal for us to save sometimes years for a watch some other youtubers consider to be nothing
Nicely put, I’m no UA-camr and as a real person I would rail against people getting stuff for free.
I’ve had to wait until my mid 60’s to get my Seamaster Professional, worth the wait 👍🏻👍🏻
It's a very snobby place sometimes... But I think I've managed to build a little community of enthusiasts that appreciate all watches, not just the expensive ones. I've wanted to buy this watch for over two years. It took work, but I made it happen.
And I can promise I'll be putting this through its paces. Won't be getting any days off let me tell ya!

I’m a little late to the party but congrats bro! Awesome pickup! I also got to pick up my grail seamaster! I picked up a reference 2265.80. Personally I prefer the accuracy of Quartz for daily wear. I also have a 6.5 inch wrist but these pre-2018 seamaster hug the wrist beautifully
I was also very tempted by a quartz for that grab and go aspect. I've been enjoying the automatic though (thankfully). The winding is soooo smooth 😍

Great choice, always stick with what you want and not what others who seem to be the majority say is better ie Rolex. I prefer Omega for the same reasons you stated and when I had the funds I chose two Omegas for the price (over inflated in my opinion) of a Rolex. Enjoy your watch! 😊

The only thing I hate about this Seamaster is, the 12 Index is too big it covers the 59th minute and the 1st minute (you have only 3 dashes up there not 4), make it harder to set the exact time if you want perfect precision

The GMT, correct? Very cool looking seamaster. Slightly bigger though if I'm not wrong? I think that one would just tip over the edge in terms of size 😆
@@TopTierTicker correct, and it's still 41mm iirc! Look I've a 15.9cm wrist or 6.25 inches wrist if you want to go all freedom hamburger BBQ unit. And it fits my wrist perfectly! And it's built like a tank I'm telling you, a mfing tank! Also that model is slightly thicker than a regular smp model, but it has never bothered me myself. It feels like omega used some voodoo magic or whatever back in the days and made their watches wear smaller than noted.
Yk the thing is, I really prefer smp from that era more than current ones.

Plus omega are cheaper than rolex , easier to get and theyre built just as good as rolex if not better, so omega is a good watch to go for.
This is a great Seamaster. I don't like the contemporary ones, with their skeletonized hands and weird bracelet. This one is super classy tho. Congrats!

Predictions for your 2028 SOTC; Polished cypress custom made velvet lined 8 capacity watchbox with a policy of "one in, one out". Inside we'll find 2 Rolex, 2 Tudor, 2 Omega, and 2 Casio. Of the first 6, five will be on a bracelet and the sixth one will be on a sailcloth strap with orange stitching to match an orange tip on a second hand for a "touch of color". Of the 2 Casio "beaters" one will be modded with a steel bracelet and both will look brand new.
😂😂 I love fantasy booking like this, but I highly doubt it. The only Rolex I like are vintage datejust. Certainly won't see me with a Rolex sports model. I'm very much a vintage guy, so if you find me a cool vintage tudor then I might be interested (they unfortunately don't have that many that aren't Rolex copies). My next 'big' watch will likely be a nomos.

No, this is a neo-vintage piece now. It's been discontinued for over 15 years. It's that middle ground where the watch has modern specs, with vintage pricing (kinda)
This watch and the price it can be had for is a bargain, I would not consider it top tier though and they certainly don’t keep their value which is why it’s a bargain.
It's a bargain for what it is yes! Especially compared to modern SMPs. But, this watch was just £1000 on the pre-owned market back in 2010 and it's been steadily rising since. It's also a piece that hasn't really been affected by the covid bubble burst. Regardless of price, I think the value is off the charts in terms of the history and the design. It's perfection in my eyes

You enjoy your math and I’ll enjoy the fruits of my earnings. I wonder what the increase would have been from 2010? I’ll add, I’m way too old to be worried about buying low hanging fruit from eBay, I’ve earnt my money and I spend it as I see fit but my son earns a good wage and I would advise him against “investing" in these types of watches.

I'm talking ROCK BOTTOM minimum, but still a respectable watch worthy of the title. It is an ICON. If you can find 4 or 5 grand for this modest Omega, then you can save for another year, or maybe two, and get a Sub,. Then, you can start throwing around words like grail.
