Since my husband received his cancer diagnosis, he has been really motivated to eat a whole food plant-based diet. That means, lots of fruits, veggies, plant-based protein sources (especially beans and lentils) and whole grains. In today's video I'm showing you a typical day of eating for him as he fights cancer with plant-based foods!

Wishing your husband a cancer-free recovery. It’s a scary time but he is so lucky to have you in the kitchen. I remember researching when my uncle had oral cancer that berries contain a special compound. I had breast cancer 19 yrs ago and would love if you would continue to show these meals. 🥰

Oh my gosh that's so scary, I'm so sorry you all are going through this, I'm so glad you caught it early but a third of his tongue 😮 that's hard to imagine, what an adjustment! Good for him diving into some really good nutrition to back up his other treatments though. He's such a young guy and it reminds you it can happen to anyone! Praying for a speedy recovery and remission 🙏 and take care of yourself too!!
I know. We had no idea tongue cancer was a thing. So grateful we caught it early and he’s doing well eating and talking!

Sorry to hear about your husband. Cancer is so scary! It's what I worry about because you just never know. Besides what you eat, you can be affected by the air you breathe, chemicals in the products you use, how stressed you are, how well you sleep, etc. etc. etc. I pray your husband's cancer goes into remission 🙏

I am so very sorry to hear about your husband's cancer. That brought up a lot of memories for me as my husband had cancer in his mouth which was attached to the base of his tongue. Unfortunately we didn't catch it in time and he passed about a month after we found out about the cancer. My heart goes out to you and your family and I will be keeping your family in my prayers. I'm so sorry. I really hope everything gets better for all of you, and wish him a full recovery. My mom died of cancer when i was 13 years, that situation is definitely painful and scary, but I'm glad you all are already fighting together against it.

So sorry to hear about your husband! I’ve just started sharing some videos on my UA-cam channel about how I cook simple, whole plant foods for our family of four. Been at this for fourteen years and I have a lot of recipes posted that use only sweet potatoes or fruit to sweeten breakfast cookies, bars etc. I hope you might find them helpful!

My grandpa died of cancer... So we know the pain.. I went vegan for animals.. but hearing it could help reduce my chances (not completely eliminate) of getting cancer..

He’s had a sore on his tongue for years called lichen plantis. We had it checked for cancer a few years ago and it came back clear. But it changed over time.
Sorry to hear that. I wish him full recovery. I don't know if it can help him but calcium lactate helped me this year with tongue and throat problems. I take the powder diluted in hot water 6g a day. Helped me a lot. It's on sell in powder or in pills which is expensive but you can get it in powder and it's very affordable 👍

I am sorry your family is going through this. You'll get through it! If you haven't yet, you may want to look into the work of Dr. Valter Longo. He did research on cancer patients fasting through chemo therapy. And it reduced severity of symptoms, but more importantly made chemo more effective. You would need to look into this yourselves if you'd like to know more. He is a longevity expert and also plant-based because of the science showing that it is best for health and longevity. Sending you love!
We are very open to fasting as a form of healing. He did a couple day fast before his surgery. We’ll look into him!
@@TheConscientiousEater great! I would look up what Dr. Longo's studies have shown for fasting specifically during chemo. (If chemo is a part of your husband's treatment.) Those studies findings were pretty incredible. And there is a good explanation scientifically for why they showed what they did.
