I think you can actually hear them later in the track when it all gets louder and distorted, but it's the producers or mixers job to make a track sound good on every device.

DJ Coma the whole point of x’s sound at this time was the distorted clipping style. If it was properly distorted and mixed I don’t know if people wouldve gravitated to it the way they did. It was a lot like lofi and punk in a way

James The mix was clearly fine before X and his engineer got ahold of it. The song sounds like shit, and I’m not saying that because it has distortion. There’s nothing wrong with distortion, I love it, but the way they went about it ruined the mix.
