@@sund5 my guess is because the 320i is based on same engine as 330i, so they detuned 320i, kept 330i mostly "stock".. thats why the big increase in 320i vs 330i with a tune
@@Daniel-fe6ch its same engine as 330e not exactly same as 330i.. 330i can handle way more power.. but 320i / 328i prefacelift is kinda the same although different piston and intercoolers
@@avgfinnishdude i have m235i gran coupe 2021 stock it makes 400+ ftlb and 350+ horse getting it tune to around 500 custom tune no bootmod or mhd my buddy pushing 600 on e smokes most stock fast cars out there even some tuned cars get smoked b48e in the m235i is forged can handle 600 all day no issue anything pass that idk

The new Prius has 220hp and is capable of 0-60 in 6.6 seconds
Although if you step down to just a 2022 model the hp is cut almost in half and the 0-60 is 10.75 seconds.

Any problems after remapped?
Not sure about the b48, but my N20 started giving weird issues after 1 year on stage 2. Brought it to an old head mechanic who mods cars in the past, he advised keeping it stock unless you want to visit his garage often, these cars are fuel efficient family sedan not performance car. Either buy a faster car or the M for play.

All I have read says the B48 engine in the later G20s is identical to the 330i so should be good for at least 250hp.
From personal experience, I had my E90 320D mapped from 161hp / 352nm to 224hp / 441 nm at 130,000 miles. I just sold it 6 years later with 193,000 miles on the clock running like a dream still & no issues whatsoever. Obviously others might not be so lucky. The engineer just said to treat it gently until properly warmed up and always make sure it’s serviced regularly with decent oil.

wtf thats a HUGE performance increase just with an ecu tune, I reckon a better launch you would get into 4's
nah unfortunatelty the best I ever got was 4.7s in stage 1 with warm tires and cold weather. Stage 2 however gets around 4.4 sec but that's already 305ish whp

What time does your car make from 100-150km?
Did you also get a gearbox tuning or just an engine remap?
in my experience, whenever u done a tune with the bm3, it comes with the gearbox flash too, otherwise ur car can't get that fast

how is the reliability at this much hp ? can the engine handle it is this safety tune or is it towards the high end pushing bhp ?
It's the same motor as in 330i. It's just downtuned.

Exactly.. B48B20B is strong to handle more power as its same engine as 330i but the B48B20A has weaker internals so I would avoid a stage 1 on that.
@@ZS1989 internals were exactly the same in 2018 for A and B engines... différences is in the turbo cooling and OPF (liquid cooling for the B and air cooling for the A) and the A got OPF (same as DPF in gasoil engine but for Petrol) that cause you are limited in tuning mate. There are 4 difference B48 atm. In stage 1 one get 220hp, another one get 240-250hp, an other one 260-270 and the last and more powerful (without OPF and liquid cooled turbo) 300-320hp.

@@royalclub148 Not too sure, but I think maybe not. The A is a lower stock one, and has some limitations to tuning.
Henk Vreewijk, I could be wrong but I think it would make sense that all the downtuned B48 engines are classified as B48B20A. So to answer your question, there probably is not

ЕМНИП, у 320 и 328 один и тот же двигатель, отличия исключительно в настройке ЭБУ. Возможно, на G-серии уже другие моторы, но, кмк, они получили двигатели от F-серии "по наследству". По надежности, думаю, что это -15% ресурса, не более, если даже жигули по 100+ тысяч проезжают на турбокитах по 250+ сил на стандартном низе и давлении 1.5+ бара. А тут турбомотор, который изначально расчитан на данную мощность.

@@ИванМегафон-ч3щто чушь из 2010. Моторы одинаковые. Разная степень сжатия. Контринтуитивно, но именно поэтому, кстати, 320-е выдают большую мощность при отжиме в сопли с метанолом, чем 330-е Метанол в топливе повышает детонационную стойкость, а большая степень сжатия повышает КПД => и мощность. Для получения мощности на 100 бензине, конечно, лучше взять 330.
У мотора ресурс не падает. И на чипе, и без него он спокойно доедет до 200+.

Yes , mine stage 1 also broke, 1 of 4 pistons broke. Dealer want replace new engine 7k euro + 16 hour work(150 e p hour)

in china 320i is 2.0T with 154hp 😂😂😂
stage 1 can boost it to 240 easy
in Turkey 320i is 1.6lt 170 hp but its downsized b48 2.0lt engine and all parts come from 2.0lt. So its easy to remap it to 260-270 hp.
