Great video ! I really like the Kakuno. I am left handed and bought the medium nib. Writes very smooth for me. I have only the used the cartridge that came with it.
Yes right out of the box--nib was terrible and I could never get the ink to flow and No ! I did not send it back. Instead it went to the recyclable storage area. Never to be seen again. No Platinum Prefonte for me. Kakuno all the way. I can cartridge it, converter it, and eyedropper it. Writes so well.
Platinum perfounte is the worst fountain pen in my collection. It advertises that they have dry proof tech, but after 5-10 seconds of break it struggles to write. Not recommended.

@rostinfarm the Kakuno is a nice writer, indeed. My only issue with the Kakuno is the cap design, I'm not too crazy about it.
I prefer the Prefounte. Doesn't dry when capped, unlike the Kakuno. Prefounte is also eyedropperable.

I had a better experience with my Prefontes, maybe because they're mediums. They actually wrote nicer than the 3776 I used to own.
Nice review. I will pick the Prefounte, looks better and has a clip.
How about showing us the pens that you used to make?
Ah, my friend, soon to come. I will soon be showing these, but the ones I will have for sale. Stay tuned.

Thankfully, I didn't have that experience. I wonder how many others have?
I treat Kakuno as budget prera. Someone told me Kaweco Sport clips fits on Kakuno
The sport clips would probably be too small. The better fit would be to use the Kaweco Perko clip
