Love your art soooo much. The paintings are so free and loose which I am working hard to achieve in my own work. The harder I work to be loose the tighter the art turns out. So I watch you and Turner Vinson paint to get my brain educated and perhaps one day my art will look like I have actually achieved freedom.🤣😂BTW I do glaze my art, too. I learned that trick when I painted in watercolor and so then did it with my acrylics and voila!
Thanks Jane! I am so glad I discovered your lessons on UA-cam. I used to travel to Mt. Dora frquently. If only I had known you were there at the time. Could you tell us where your water bucket came from? Also, what brand of canvases do you suggest? You are inspiring!
Hi, Jane! LOVE the touch of gold glaze technique to make the light pop!! Absolutely lovely! And constructive criticism on the new video angle... it's much better with you behind the canvas if you're doing it flat. The autofocus in this one kept kicking on and focusing on your arm - making the painting super blurry. I found it really hard to watch. I know you guys are new at this and it's probably not easy to make videos!! That said - I really love your work and glad you're putting more videos out. Thank you and keep it up!! 🥰🥰🥰
I so appreciate your feedback. We are working on it, and hopefully you will see a difference in our next upload which will be posted next week. Again, we appreciate your feedback and patience.
Sometimes ALL painting I glaze with tiny bit of orange and lots of water. Painting has to be on the table flat so water doesn’t run. And leave it till is dry. Faces of people get orange tint too.
I appreciate your comment. Thank you. When I am caught up in my painting, Jane will ask questions pertinent to the painting, such as paint colors or brush types, etc., if I forget to mention them. If she doesn’t do that, we will get those questions from viewers. So it is kind of a preventative so viewers will get the necessary info upfront. Again, thank you for your observation.

Works good on landscapes with green!
Thank you! I appreciate the suggestion.
Thank you for that. I just ordered a tube. I have a painting with sun rays, I bet that will help it pop.
Yes it will!
Thanks 🙏 for sharing this information ❤
You are welcome!
Thank you for sharing. ❤
My pleasure!
I read somewhere that Golden has quit making Azo Yellow Gold.😢 I think the next closest color would be Quinacridone Gold.
Всегда пожалуйста!
Thank you for the option suggestion. Appreciated.
How long do you let a painting dry before you varnish it?
It needs to be bone dry before varnishing the painting.
Perfect ❤
Thank you!
Quin Nickel Azo Gold has been discontinued everywhere. WAH!
Doing some research and will get back to you. Thanks!
perhaps yellow ochre would substitute...
Golden put out the actual recipe for their quin gold. Or, if you can, buy it up now.

She asks the questions we would ask…. It’s like being in her class… I like it
