If only I had seen this review a week ago, the worst thing is that you have to fully extend it or the rungs wont lock. That ladders a bloody death trap!
Been lookin 4 sum ladders 4 ages. Just saw telescopic/blending type, finally thought I'd buy them & now changed my mind! Great video, vry helpful 👍🏽 They look so unstable! 😖
Theyve got a bit better since then .For a tall ladder get a straight one with no hindge. To be honest they do flex but bare in mind its usually some thin guy goin up and down in the promo vid not some 200lb +.
And I 100% agree with your review. The hinge joint seems underbuilt. And it was far too flexible for my liking. Thanks for the review. I was trying to decide between this and a little giant copy from Cosco. Every other review of this type of ladder seems to be made by some yahoo who probably shouldn't be allowed to access the internet let alone post review videos. Anyway I'm going for the Cosco now that I've finally been able to see this ladder in use. Thanks again
And unfortunately within 1 min we can tell that the ladder is in fact illegal to sell here in the UK and Europe as it has a CE marking which is illegal to apply without having passed CE testing but also isn't something that can be put on ladders anyway. I found this out when looking in to my own ladder that has the same illegal marking.
Bought one of these years ago for nipping over gates when window cleaning. The faff trying to retract them isn't worth the effort. They are quite good if you set them up for a few hours work but wouldn't recommend for quick job. Also work well on stairs for decorating etc.
Think if you make it into a straight ladder before you try to collapse it down it would be a lot easier because you would use the weight of the ladder and just have to push the buttons in and the whole thing would get smaller and smaller smaller and then fold it in half at the end
I watched your video cause I bought one of these and my fiancé and I both struggled collapsing the ladder. Seems you struggled as well. It seems to us that when pushing in the black buttons that we had to push up from the bottom to close it instead of pushing it down. Seems ridiculous to us. I haven’t tried to use it when extended fully, only when both sides are stable on the ground. I don’t know if I would even try. I have some painting on my house to do this summer so I may have to. Good review, very helpful! Thank you!
@@tonipeters-looks-at bub if you just want a light weight ladder go for an all aluminum a-frame or extension. Maybe someone makes a combination like a little giant but one that is always at the same height as an A-frame or as an extension. That would be handy assuming it is kept lightweight.
Thank you for covering the main issues with this ladder model, as well as checking the weight. Btw, I'm no expert but it seemed to me the angle you used the ladder to go up when fully extended was incorrect and too far from the wall. Add to that the extra flex of the ladder after you passed the mid-point and it could slide out. At least that's what I was envisioning.
I’m in the US and when I attended carpentry school, safety class said for every 3 feet up the ladder should be out 1 ft. So a 12 ft ladder should be 4 ft out. Out in the field it may need to be different.
Sir,can the ladder has the ability to stand straight for the work in the ceiling fan of our house or it is to be laid on any support such as wall??please reply..
As the link above shows, you may want to see ua-cam.com/video/8k2cQZquiTY/v-deo.html But as with any "space saving ladder" they must be kept clean, and it is your choice which you buy. I prefer my other ladder, it doesn't fold, it is not telescopic.
@@ryanmurphy3200 Not quite. If you look at 2:08 you will see mine has nuts and bolts to secure the stabiliser bar which I had to put in and tighten, yours sounds like it was easier, since you had nothing to do.
You ask how much, like most things, it depends where you get it from as to how much it costs, besides, look at the date I uploaded it, the cost then will not be the same as the cost now. Do pay attention.
@Kyle Brenan Estabillo. You asked how much, it depends where you buy it from, if you watch the video again I tell you how much I paid for it and where I got it, but that was almost 3 years ago.
my wife bought one and it scares the shit out of me. I will not use it. Does not seem safe. I cant believe these are allowed to be sold to the public. I would like to see something that says its safe.
What difference does a virus make to a ladder review? It's still the same ladder, and as I said in the video, I don't like it (The ladder) so I sold it within a month. (at a loss)
I'm not going to sugar coat it lad. . Your a bit heavy.. n so am i.. I guess the ladder is ok for skinny people maybe.. It's a cool design.. I guess we'll have to lose a few pounds to enjoy the telescopic ladder 🥺
Thank you for an honest real world review, you might have saved some lives with this video
thank you for the review, it made me decide which among the other set of ladders is the best
This is a very good review. I learnt both the advantages and disadvantages of telescopic ladders.
same here thanks to the uploader

Thank you for your honest and candid review! I was thinking of getting one of these, but now I am not sure if I would be brave enough to use it.
I so glad that I watch this podcast. When I first got this ladder I said I don't like it, and it doesn't like me. Not a fan!!!

Agree, also when 180 fully straightened, the top half becomes increasingly vertical , which is v odd.
Hey Toni , Great review and unboxing ! Thank you for your honest and candid review! Go Ahead with new unboxing !
Thank you! Will do!
Thanks for the honest review

Very good and detailed review, I was planning to buy one but now I am not going to do and will look for some better alternative.

I would never recommend them for anything, let alone working from them.
Hi Tony, I'm from Brazil.
I canceled the purchase and returned the ladder for failing to get it safe enough to work

@@KeikoBushnell What ever works, I hated the ladder so much, I got rid of it 3 years ago.
LOL at the minute you went halfway. That ladder looks top heavy, thanks for the review.

Happy to have helped, I got rid of mine, as I said in the video, I just don't like it, and yes, when letting it down, watch your fingers.
By comparison, I’d say buy a little giant ladder. They’re solid and compact.
I tried one of those too, I found it to be very cumbersome

thanks for posting. after watching this i will not be buying one. Scary
good analysis
Very good, thanks
very nice coloured finger nails
Thank you 😊
No stabil ?
I do not know what you mean, could you explain please?

It is up to you what you use the ladder for. I would suggest you watch it again.
Thank you
that's made my mind up. I wont be buying one looks well wobbly . Would not feel safe on it
Neither did I.
Did you find a better ladder. If so which one. I'm after a space saving ladder

How did you just slide in the stabaliser bar haha... mines got rivets blocking the darn thing.
Just figured it out for any other wayward idiots (like me) reading this - they’re just moulds. Ram the bar in and snap em

I've bought one recently and I'm here because it's far too flexible,I'll only use it in the A configuration
Yep
Thanks for this
No problem
Muy buenos días Me gustaría saber el precio de la escalera pero no duermes sino sencillo
Compré la escalera hace más de 4 años, subí el video unos meses después de recibirla, no recuerdo cuánto costó y probablemente el precio haya subido.
Those ladders are extremely dangerous!!!...get rid of it.!!!!lol
It don't look safe to me mate. Not fully extended anyway. I'd probably get a shorter one
I wouldn't recommend one at all, no matter how short it is.
Shittt ladder. ...good video
