A 2 day hike up the Syakaro Historic Trail 霞喀羅古道 in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Encountered a bunch of animals that I had not seen before, including Stejneger's Keelback (Mock Cobra, Mountain Bamboo Snake - it goes by many names), Swinhoe's Pheasant, Taiwan Weasel, Formosan Slug Snake, and others. The hike and the trip itself was also very beautiful and enjoyable.
在台灣新竹的霞喀羅古道徒步2天。 遇到了很多我以前從未見過的動物，包括台灣黃鼠狼面對了史丹吉氏斜鱗蛇 + 藍腹鷴，台灣鈍頭蛇， 和另外的野生動物。 霞喀羅國家步道(霞喀羅古道)是很漂亮的地方。我們在這爬山和露營很有趣。

I just did a 2-day hike at Syakaro 2 weeks ago. At night the sounds made by animals were surprisingly frequent, especially small mammals. I was guessing rats or badgers…but we didn’t really look for them. Thanks for making these videos. You make me want to do a little nighttime adventure next time
yeah, take a little walk at night haha. Lots of deer and flying squirrels etc. Actually I did see a LOT of rats at Syakaro that night. I seldom see snakes high up like that though. I need to do more hikes like that. Was the trail very busy when you went?

I couldn't find much information on the venom. Seems they have "rear fangs" which deliver a very mild venom. Certainly their cousins Pseudoxenodon macrops and Pseudoxenodon bambusicola are rear fanged and mildly venomous. But not dangerous to humans. There is always a possibility of an allergic reaction to mild venoms, but generally not dangerous.

May I ask what camera you use？
Sony RX100 VII. Compact, yet still good for video. The zoom is not as good as I would like, but it is hard to film when zoomed in anyway. The photos quality is also pretty good
