- How to Grow and Care for Monstera Adansonii or Swiss Cheese plant - Here in this video I have covered everything from Day 1 to Day 379 and you would be able to see how I grew my plant and the things I did as a care for my plant. Missy wanted to show us something... And I want to know what it was!
@Dalia Torres, Ha ha...thank you So much and I am actually very glad that you got my daughter's name perfectly :-) She wanted to say something and then she changed her mind...LOL...so, didn't add that in this video :-) But I am happy that she always help me here n there. Thank you for watching :-)
I just bought an Adansonii yesterday and your video is the best video I have watched for tips! Bonus is we got to see how your plant was after 5 months, 9 months, and more than a year! I wish you more views! 😊
@Shaina Ramos, I am glad I could do something and I always try to provide updates in most of my video. I am so thankful to you for such amazing feedback, Happy Gardening 😊😊
I just love to watch how those plants changes into happy and healthy after you buy them 🤩 it's hard to pronounce the name but this plant is looking gorgeous 😃😃😃
@Monti Dutta, Thank you so much for your generosity, really appreciate it :-) Yeah, name is bit different and Monstera Delicosia is way to popular in Western countries :-)
💕
i love how you show both the pros and the cons ❤️🔥🔥
@Juanna, Glad you love them and thank you So much for your words, much appreciated 😍
The plant looks great!! Re-planting into a larger pot with a better quality soil mix made a huge difference in color...greener and healthier.
@Jane Curtis, Glad you liked the final result and thank you very much for watching :-)
Very soon Missy will be making her own plant videos, she seems to be plant enthusiast already.
Thank you so much for your wishes 😊
Nice video but I think this is not a Monstera Adansonii. This is Monstera Esqueleto (formerly Epipremnoides) :)
Yup I'm guessing so too, its such a rare plant, they're lucky
Yess true , I agreed
Yes I don’t think is Adansonii
it is adansonii indo form
You are familiar with this kind of this phelodendron
I hope the small one I have survives and gets as large as this one! I’ll use these tips.
@C C, Sure, it would, Good Luck and thank you very much for watching the video :-)
Very.....beautiful plant , thanks for informative video. 👌 💐
Most welcome and thank you for your feedback 😊
What a phenomenal transformation! 👌 The end result is such a pretty looking plant - so frilly and lacy! We would love to see an overview of your entire garden! 😊 God bless and happy gardening 🙏

Good job saving it. Was there any reason you didn't wash the clay away? Would that be a safe option?

@Janet Reed, Glad you liked it and thank you very much 😍
Great video! Helpful as usual. Thanks for the quality content.
@Bro. Austin Simon, Trying my best and thank you for your words...but sorry for the late reply :-) TC :-)
Great care tips.your monstera looks healthy and lush
Very nice plant but I believe this is a monstera epipremnoides rather than an adansonii. They usually get confused but epipremnoides has long and big holes while adansonii has smaller holes and epipremnoides grows closer to the way deliciosa does than adansonii
Beautiful plants thanks 🙏 for a very informative video thank you for the information yes it will help me a lot learn a lot from your vedio keep safe and have a wonderful day ❤️
your video really helpful.I always follow your video.
Thank you So much for your words!
I live in a very dry zone and it's difficult to grow tropical plants....but a 👍thumbs up to your monstera...never seen anything so beautiful 😍
Beautiful journey ❤. It would be useful to share which city are you in? For people in northern India, summer is very harsh and this plant gets burnt even indoors.
Thank you very much :-) I am from Guwahati, Assam. Summer temp is quite high in my place too but survives well in Summer.
@@GardeningUpbeat Thanks!
Would love to see that moringa plant that you did months ago. Great Video
@Darwish Sageer, Thank you very much and definitely I would do covering updates of 2 years :-) They are already flowering :-)

@Swati Mane, You are most welcome and thank you for watching :-)
. Sir when I had purchased dis plant this had only 2 big leaves ..in some weeks they rotted andI. the new leaves which r only 2 yet ...have no cuts in them. They r like money plant leaves.what is d reason. When will d cuts form in them???
They need to be bit matured (big) and then you would see all those cuts :-) Good luck and no worry, it happens with all varieties of Monstera plants...Also, Sir is not required..he he..
superlike for your assistant

Thank you for all the information🥰🤩🤩🤩
My plant is growing well but the leaves are not this big as yours. What am I missing? Please reply. I love your videos. I loved how healthy your plant turned out 🌱
Beautiful
Thank you
Wanted to know why didn't you remove the clay soil before repotting?
@Farah Ahmed, The soil in the rootball was already very less and so didn't remove it completely. If I had removed all the soil, plant would have gone into transplant shock which I wanted to prevent. Anyway, I used a bigger pot with fresh soil and so it's fine. If you have observed, I have loosened the roots a bit so that they can grow well :-) Hope, I have answered your question :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat thanks for your reply
Sir what is garden soil? Is it just soil or soil enriched with some compost?
Just normal garden soil..Thank you and Sir is not required actually!
Very beautiful plant with update as usual...
Thanks a lot :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat please make a video on how make variegated monstera from normal plant..
Is this the same plant what they called broken heart plant or is it philandendron broken heart?
Sir! Is NPK 19-19 can be used for other plants as well?
Your climate is favourable for plants . These much big leaves will be seen in north India . Your area's climate is humid .

@bishwajit paul, Trying my best and thank you for your words...but sorry for the late reply :-) TC :-)
Where are you getting perlite in Guwahati?
What is tha season of monstera growth
Sooooo I have killed 3 of these plants. I’ve got a pretty green thumb. I have beautiful plants. They die within a week of getting them. I have done everything I can think of…..water…..wait to water……grow lights……just filtered lights…..I have a room full of beautiful plants but this one I’m not doing something right. I get them…I repot them..in a day they look like yours on day one. And they just continue to yellow til they die. I use a basic soil…..3 parts potting soil, 2 parts chicken grit, one part perlite. It is well draining. All of my other plants do very well in it. Do you have any other thoughts? This is one of my favorite plants.
Sorry to know and at the same time, glad to know that you have already got a pretty green thumb, CONGRATS! Please try this once -
2 parts potting soil, 1 parts chicken grit, 1 part perlite + 1 part like small pieces of Coconut husk (instead of this you can use Peat Moss). Monsteras are kind of hemiepiphytes. In your case they continue to yellow and it's because the soil is holding more water than necessary. Plus, while repotting, please provide less nutrients. Well, all these plants grow like wild plants in nature and they do well when we neglect them. Wish you all the best and please let me know whether the recipe worked for you or not. I am quite confident that it would!
@@GardeningUpbeat thank you so much for replying. I certainly will try this. I appreciate you!!!
Sir could you please tell an Alternative for perlite
Great 👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
