I know a lot of beauty influencers and makeup artists on UA-cam have these extensive collections and while I really appreciate learning about the products and seeing the swatches, I have to admit it makes me feel nothing but relief that I stopped purchasing so much makeup years ago and that my collection stays so manageable at somewhere around 25 lip products 😅. I love being able to use up my stuff and not feel like I’m throwing money in the trash. I will always be a makeup junkie but one with realistic limits.
As a lip person I'm SO excited for this!! And from one of my very favorite beauty UA-camrs? YEEEEEESSSSSS 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💜

This video made me think about how I always think it's interesting that people will try to shame someone for having too much makeup, especially when it's multiples of very similar products.
But nobody is out there shaming people for having 87 fancy hot sauces they will never finish, or having shelves and shelves of books, or having boxes of records, or having stashes of paintbrushes, or a garage full of tools.
Just interesting that having a lot of makeup is viewed differently, maybe just because people associate it with vanity. And vanity can mean confidence, and confidence can mean power.
I just feel like if a person can afford it and store it, they should feel free and happy to have as much makeup as they want to without judgement...

Well everything is perishable eventually.
A shelf of 1000 books that were only read once have just as much likelihood as going to a landfill as a stack of old blushes. 🤷
And if perishability was the issue, people would be more disturbed about a collection of watercolour paints then they would be about a woman with too many shoes, but that just isn't the case most of the time.

If anyone is interested in the Wet and Wild rose lip color balm,skip the peach color.
It's the only one that has shimmer and honestly it comes out very frosty looking and doesn't have a lot of color. Definitely recommend either the red one or the two brown ones.
I’m so ready for this! I’ve been noticing this year that I’ve stop collecting eyeshadow palettes, and instead I’m back to collecting lippies! Some of my favorites this year include Tower 28, Makeup by Mario, About Face, Kosas, Nyx Lip Drips, Romand, ABH and my tried & true MAC!
Definitely keep the Hourglass the case is refillable so even if you aren't keen on that colour the refills are cheaper than buying with the case again.
This was so relaxing! Pretty much the only lip product I wear anymore is the custom tinted lip balm I made at the Bite Beauty Lip Lab a few months ago. It's so perfect for me, I have no desire to wear anything else. 👌🏻💜

I too am obsessed with lip liners. Ppl treat it like a skipable step but I love that it not only defines my lips but you can use lip liner to adjust the tone of a lipstick or tinted lip product.

Hi Bri! Love your picks! I kick myself in the butt over and over I did not get the Oden' Eye Christmas palettes!!! Not only for the color stories, quality, and shifty shades but because the packaging reminds me sooo Much of my Grandma I recently lost (who was a Mother to me) just the aesthetic was 100% her! She was a Christmas aficionado. With soooo many people swooning and jonesing for a restock of that collection, I don't understand why they do not! Also, I need to give Adept another chance. I purchased the House of El palette and it is Gorgeous but as an MUA/ woman with Extremely hooded lids...the multichromes just slid and moved around Everywhere!😢

Yes. I loooooove the Jane iredale nutmeg lipliner together with the fenty beauty slip shine lipstick in the shade cookies and cocoa, it’s my favorite lip combo, I think you would love it as well 😊

Idk if you see old comments, but i think you'd love (some) of the Lisa Eldridge Gloss Embrace lip glosses. I say some bc the color opacity is different that I find the more opaque ones hard to wear evenly. BUT you need to get Go Lightly it is the best everyday easy peasy shade and then I haven't tried the more shimmery ones, but I feel like they'd be up your alley. I love how they feel, not heavy at all, but they have staying power. When they do fade my lips do feel like I had been wearing a balm. They have a lot of colors that look to be shades you enjoy wearing based on the swatches in the video. A little pricier (and I def don't recommend all of them, I'm very disappointed with Myth 😔, but Go Lightly 😍 and I also have Blush which I do love when I want a little bit more. I'm very tempted by Delilah and Charm. Great video! I appreciate the descriptions of all the characteristics (packaging, ease of use, how it wears, smell, taste etc.) Tysm!

Always wanted to try some of these lip oils and glosses, I'm currently going through my lipsticks and decluttering some. I have one lipstick that I've found is my perfect nude. It's nearly been panned!
Have you tried the merit lip oils? I feel like that formula could be up your alley. I love using lip liner and then those oils to give it dimension, taupe would be so pretty on you
What a great collection and pretty good declutter. I’m struggling to use some of my lipliner that you got to sharpen but I feel like it moves off my mouth during the day. Wondering how I can get it to stay put.

So this is what I would like to see in a future video that would be so helpful for me personally, you said with the right drugstore makeup you could recreate the Tom Ford eyeshadow quad. I could never afford the Tom Ford makeup so would love to see your drugstore version on one side and the Tom Ford on the other. I got a nasty reaction from the Two Faced Lip Injection Extreme. Got a sample as well, tried it once, my lips and the ares around burned, turned red, and became swollen. I had to take Benadryl and wash my face completely.

Okay YES for a 2 hour video! And I wish I liked drugstore lipsticks so I could save money but Melt bullet lipsticks are my favorites and the only ones I have. I’ve tried several drugstore brands but they never have the true browns I need and I don’t prefer the formula. As far as glosses I want to give more drugstore a try to save some money in the future but to me drugstore lip products are just all varied shades of pink and like…I don’t want that. Some of us want some browns.
Can absolutely relate! I always regret spending money on multiple drugstore lip products trying to find one I can like when I know I could have just bought one beautiful nuanced brown-based lipstick or gloss from a higher end brand.
@@MEGalasso1 yes! When I first got into make in college I spent SO much money on lip products because 1. That’s how I was introduced to makeup and 2. I was just trying to find what I liked and didn’t like and I discovered that drugstore just isn’t it when it comes to lip products for me EXCEPT for the nyx this is milky glosses, I love those 😍
I prefer the roll up liners because when they get dull it can scratch/cut. Also it's just cleaner without the pencil shavings.

That Too Faced lip injection gloss is so pretty and the texture feels so nice, but it gives me a bad reaction. Like a sunburned feeling. My Rare Beauty lip gloss is ok, not especially glossy, but I like that it's scentless and flavorless. I would like to try some lip oils finally. I really like those Milani lip liners. Another favorite is from Rimmel, a matte suede texture. Makes me want try try the Nyx suede liners and Kaleidos lip clays. Thank you!
