@@spookyrissa952 we are currently taking our time with the full sized Sandra Rose. The reality is older palettes don't sell as well, and if we invest our money into bringing them back, we tie up funds that can be used to stop needing to have preorder. Sorry it's probably not the response anyone wants but it's just our current reality 🥰

I had the same question. How many did you keep and how many were decluttered?
People in comments on declutters lately have been kinda harsh and particular, so I’m just gonna say it’s okay to keep and get rid of whatever you personally feel! Some people want and get joy from a big collection, some like a smaller collection. You can flip flop between those two mindsets in your own lifetime too and that’s perfectly fine!
And this is her job! I’m assuming people questioning how much she has don’t consider this and PR.

Definitely! I've gone back and forth depending on my needs/tastes. Especially over the years in learning what I like and works for me. I don't personally feel the need to have a huge collection. But, I like to have enough variety in colors/finishes to pretty much cover any sort of look I could want. Sometimes I just wear some bronzer on the eyes and go. Other days I want to use 6 different colors and get creative lol.

I totally agree. Heck I'm trying to locate some of the pallettes I get to see in other people's collection. At least I know what's all been put out. I hate that I can't get my hands on some of them from other countries.

I love my square Sigma pallets. The quality is great. Don't get it when people declutter them :'(.
@@fnma21 I think they just get lost in peoples (especially UA-camrs) collections with all the options they have.
You can remove the Shine by SD shadows from that bulky packaging. I don't even think you have to de-pot them. I think the palette just comes apart because they sent me an empty one in my last order!
I'm laughing at how EVERY makeup declutter is purging that Hindash palette 🤣 People were gushing when it came out. Roll around end of year and the consensus is "I didn't really like this, you guys". Let's all agree it was a weird colour story and the hard pan if you look at it sideways was off-putting. Your makeup collection is lovely. It's about 8 times bigger than mine. Which says more about me, as a random with no channel, who owns more than they can get through until retirement. I use it though and I enjoy what I have. Hubby agrees it's my hobby and he spends a fortune on tiny specialist paints, so we are even 😆
I love end of year cuz alot of creators do this video and they are so cathartic for me for some reason.

When Lauren says the Rose Quartz palette is one of the best in her collection, u pull the trigger lol. The Huda Beauty website has sales frequently if you regularly check their website! I’m waiting for a good sale since the palette is $67 without discounts.
That one has been on a wishlist for me for a while now. I got the other Huda palettes I have during black Friday sales. So, maybe there will be a good sale on that one this year 🤞
I got an email about the Huda Beauty neon palettes because they were sued or something, so they were giving people their money back for them. I had bought all 3 palettes and they sent me the check for the cost of them!!
I believe it was because pressed pigments can cause staining and irritation so they are not FDA approved for use around the eye (although they are approved in Europe and other countries) so they have to be labeled for legal reasons. I believe Huda hid the label and someone sued because it stained or irritated their eye
2023 needs to be the year of a Lauren Mae eye shadow palette collab. I will break my no buy for that.
The lorac Meraki palette shadows also pop out. I love that feature with all makeup artist brands that offer it.

Violet voss formulation has jojoba oil in it. It's pretty unusual for a eyeshadow formula. Jojoba oil will go rancid in 2-3 years, gross.
How many did you end up decluttering? Also, BH Cosmetics got purchased by Makeup Revolution. Their most recent collection was cute! Jury is still out on whether the formulas will still stay so nice!

Lissssssennnnn... I keep and still use my Comfort Zone palette. It hits in ways nothing else has yet. I even have a back up because my current is well loved lol
I decluttered mine, and had to repurchase it because I really do love it. Can't repurchase it anymore, so I will not be getting rid of it, because I know better now.
Ikr! I don't have that exact palette, but I have shadows from around that time, when they did the trios, and I still love them.

It’s crazy to see how my tastes have changed - I used to lust after the Ace Beauté Oceanic Palette, and now it just looks flat and played out. I wouldn’t have guessed I would ever lose interest, but I’m glad I never bought it!

Lauren, have you ever looked into phytosurgence?? I've been seeing them on Instagram and they have the prettiest neutral-with-a-twist cream eyeshadows, toasty cream blushes, highlighters...it looks right up your alley!
I bought that Zodiac palette because of you. I had 139 before I moved last December I kept all my zodiac palettes that were big, I got rid of half my little ones. I decluttered like 40 palettes out of 139.
Phew my palettes made it through 😂❤

Hi Lauren…. The baked Tom ford quads seem to need to broken in. I’ve been finding there is an over spray or coating,
BH was bought by Makeup Revolution actually. They just came out with some new palettes, but they don't seem to be the same great BH quality as in the palettes you showed. Some palettes from BH didn't have that great quality and it seems these new ones have the lesser formula. Hoping in the future they have some come out with the great formula.

I noticed that you keep apologizing and justifying your “basic” “boring” or “neutral” palettes and I just wanted to say that those palettes are my favorites and the ones I actually consider buying based off your experience with them. I’ve noticed a few other makeup UA-camrs apologize for keeping neutral palettes and I really don’t understand why. I’ve only been on makeup youtube for a year and a half now and I have fair skin and half the time I wear eyeshadow it just looks nuts on me. So I’m really on the hunt for a few high quality everyday palettes that even someone like me with fair skin and little experience with makeup can wear and look put together with just a few shades. At this point in my makeup journey I would never ever consider buying a palette with neons or blues or greens in it. Right now I want makeup that I can throw on when I’m getting ready and I’m not trying to get too creative or experiment because every single time I do I just want to wash it off afterwards it looks so bad. That’s why I’m a neutral girl only but I appreciate when others can pull it off! I just wanted to say I’m sure there are other neutral girls like me watching your videos and I love to see what your favorite neutral palettes are and how you wear them!

I love my BH cosmetics palettes. I still use the origanal zodiac palette (i got it a couple years ago at tj maxx so it's not that old). My favorite palette is the smitten in switzerland.
I could never afford Marc jacobs stuff when it was new but I picked up a lot from marshalls and tj maxx over the years. The steeletto palette is my favorite gray palette. It's more gunmetal/purple leaning grays which play well with my skin tone. Other than that most of the other palettes are just not that impressive, especially when compared to my indie shadows.
I'm still annoyed with odens eye about the Christmas palettes. I was saving to pick the up , but they sold out so quickly.

The reason I got rid of my Tom Ford and Cle de Peau palettes is because they simply aren't very good. In fact, they really suck. I don't like Elf shadows, but the reality is that they're still better than TF and CdP. If those palettes didn't say TF on them, would you still feel obligated to "make them work?" If instead they said Wet n Wild or Shop Miss A, would you still keep them and try to make them work?
That's how I'm decluttering about 500 palettes- I pretend they all cost $1 each and there's no brand on any of them. You're a UA-camr though so you have to keep a lot more I suppose, even if they really aren't good.
That BH Zodiac palette survives my random purges every single time. 😂 I think it's sentimental for me because it was my first palette ever. But also the shimmers still shim. 💜💜💜

I have been away from makeup videos for quite some time and just came back to a couple of the channels I used to really enjoy just for a trip down memory lane and this palette declutter was awesome. Really cool seeing all the palettes and I really like your collection and how you have a lot of different stuff. I myself stopped buying quite a bit of makeup back in the end of 2018 but I really enjoy still seeing people’s collections. I really appreciate you swatching and talking about the formulas. You seem to have some brands that aren’t so common anymore, love that!
The BH zodiac palette and the Pat McGrath!!! The WnW comfort zone! Such good throwbacks! There are some palettes I won’t part with in my own collection- it just reminds me of better times…. 😌

I really enjoyed this declutter and how you kept each palette brief with clear decisions and still managed to open everything and even swatch! But the one thing I love that makes these so satisfying, especially with larger declutters like this I'm not going to go back and watch again is numbers! I know you get to see the impact of your choices and that's probably enough for you, but I don't remember every decision and with large collections from people who are so passionate about this stuff, it's really motivating to go back and try the same with my assortment of makeup when I hear someone say they started with 200 palettes and got rid of 60, for instance! Satisfying and motivating!

Wild Greens my a$$... they should've just called it Naked Greens. I've commented that on a few vids today... if I see it at Marshall's or TJ Maxx I'm getting it though. 😂
They do have a few of them at the Marshall's where I work. It is definitely a palette for green and peach leaning neutral looks, but I really like it. There is a very sparkly peach with lime green flash that makes it worth it to me, but the fact that the browns in the palette are not cool or warm but truly neutral makes it a workhorse palette in my collection.
