My strategy as an SL lock against good rogues (which are easy to spot from the correctly performed opener and the resets), is to open up with a dot. Rank 1 CoA to be exact, for it has the longest duration, and the weakest damage. Then I put up corruption if the R1 CoA doesn't get reflected. Anyone good enough to even go for the shadow reflector trinket will have used it by now... and if they have, they won me the duel. I now have a DoT on me. No blinds, no saps can get on me, and I'm stun DR'd. If they didn't reflect, I will just apply curse of shadow to make my death coil not get resisted, cast a fear, immolate, shadowbolt, and shadowburn -> dead rogue (if not I CoA max rank and refresh corruption). So what I'm trying to say to you rogues, putting up the reflector ASAP after stuns end, may not result in a reflected death coil, but a 30sec wank dot on the lock. Completely meaningless dmg, but very much enough to prevent any further resets.
Yeah it's really a mindgame of when you think the warlock will death coil. Bad locks will instantly death coil after cheap shot or ks ends, so what pshero said works against most locks really. But yeah, you can counter play this, it's really about what both expect each other to do.
while it's true that you NEVER death coil on first global, the duel is far from won after you reflect r1 agony on yourself. If you try to fear they just trinket or undead racial and stay on top of you and there's absolutely no way you're casting fear (or any non instant spell) again with mind numbing poison +kick + gouge + pushback. Once kidney comes out of DR warlock is dead because corruption + agony alone shouldn't win the dps race against a rogue with decent gear. What you do to win is maximizing damage with corruption, agony and immolate during coil and then shadow burn on cooldown and refreshing corruption (if you're not speced with shadowburn you can only pray for nightfall procs).
also, rogue can cheap shot kidney blind sap and open again before warlock actually does anything. They really don't have (and shouldn't) use reflector after the first kidney.
My strat against hunters is always to have some pet-trinket ready. The best is Barov peasant caller, but any trinket will work. Make sure that you summon the pet(s) before your stun ends and secondly use any combo points into Rupture. Hunter will scatter you and use trap, but your pet will eat it instead. With bleeds on the hunter won't be able to use Cheetah. Once you come out from scatter you can easily catch the hunter especially if he is under crippling. Dwarven hunters are much harder though as they have their "Cloak of Shadows" and can wipe off your bleeds and poisons.
If an Ele Shaman is properly equipped it's just 2k frost, 2k earth and maybe instant lb/cl... Similar with a wl with Pleaguehearts. If you miss to vanish the dc it's just Death coil > dot/Dot > sp > sp dead :X.
if a warlock coils before dotting he has lost 100% against rogue unless the rogue is stupidely undergeared. Warlock won't be able to cast anything after coil so you desperately need to cast immolate during coil as a warlock
rogues are the chess, or jujitsu of wow classes. I mean anyone can SS/Evis spam with good gear, but to truly master it takes dedication and patience. I'll take my neckbeard award now.
Stunlocking is ok, but i find myself (not that im lvl 60 yet ) energystarved and not doing dmg at all when im stunlocking. Dyuring cheapshot i can manage to get 1 backstab og sinister strike away before im energystarved. And the target WILL get out of CS before i get enough energy to either gouge or kidney. If i kidney before gouge, it will be a 4CP one... And getting the kidney of, im energystarved so basically im spending the entire 4-5cp kindey getting my energy almost to full... And imho it seems like a waste stunlocking just to stand there and not being able to do shit because i dont have energy for it. I could use thistle tea, but im trying to play with as litle things like that as possible. what am i doing wrong?
if you still need help, you can go cheap shot into a backstab, then gouge and depending on when you timed your first backstab on your energy meter, you can easily pull off a kidney shot within the time they are getting out of gouge for a 4cp KS. from there you can do another backstab or vanish and sap/cs
He Pshero, thanks for the guide. Is Dirty Deeds necessary for stun lock kills? I find I don't have enough energy for the KS after a CS and 1 backstab. Then again, I'm not max level yet. Maybe Dirty Deeds would help?
im i missing something? Why do you need sap after blind (like vs spriest at 31:43)? Why dont cheap shot right after, if you have full energy? Great content at all

I like how he only ganks lvl 60s or at least 59 unlike all the other horde (I play dwarf rogue and I personally hated being camped by an undead rogue at lvl 49 bc I am now worth honor points to a lvl 60)
Idk, as a warrior, evasion has allowed me to quickly get the win against a lot of rogues through overpower crits. But those rogues arent nearly as good as you are

By facing your opponent with a 90 degree angle you can cheap shot without breaking the sap cause you won't autoattack that way, which usually occurs. Cheapshot wont break sap cause cheapshot itself does no damage.

Totems have like 1 hp, you can just auto attack them

On one on one with a pvp specced rogue if you don't have living action potion you're basically dead. Pvp specs sucks on Pve thou.
