- In this video we look Slasher, which is an organic weed killer. We test Slasher on a range of weeds, show the product at work and review the results. This weed killer is an alternative to products such as Roundup and others that use Glyphosate as the active ingredient.
The active ingredient is Nonanoic acid (also known as Pelargonic acid) which occurs naturally in plants. It is said to biodegrade in 3 days and leave no lasting results.
In the soil Slasher Weedkiller biodegrades within three days and leaves no lasting residue.
Nonanoic acid can be a irritant to the skin and eye so protective clothing and goggle should be used as per the safety instruction on the packaging. - Навчання та стиль
I find the biggest problem when using "Roundup" type herbicide is that it takes so long to knock the weeds over, that they set seed again, I think the function of Roundup is that it makes the plant put on so much growth that it outgrows the root system and dies back, but this does not happen before the seeds have developed and scattered in a warm, (35 deg) climate, what is needed is a herbicide that will knock weeds over in a few days, and in gravel paths kill weeds permanently, like Sodium Phosphate used to. The problem with the "safe" herbicides is that they need constant application, which is not good for the environment.
This works differently by killing back the foliage first, so you get very quick foliage desiccation. AND it is a Registered Organic herbicide that is glyphosate-free.
What is the time frame from spraying to obviously sign of the weed wilting/ dying? Thanks!
Normally in about half hour from application you will see the weed turn brown
Can we spray this in a veggie patch? Will it effect the soil? And be adsorbed by other plants
They are all good questions HOWEVER we need to refer you to the product specifications for accurate advice. Nice..
Thanks

If you are not an Agrichem troll then please explain why
I tried slasher that stuff does NOT work I wasted a lot of money I used it a few times but I’m sad to say it does not work sorry for not explaining why I put that and I’m NOT. A troll 😈 … your videos are helpful but that stuff is no good 🥺👌👒🇦🇺🐨🧤
@@karenhart4316 do you have any recommendations that do work?
@@asd-dr9cf maybe weed and feed which is going to be my next try 🙏
You never said how long it took for the weeds to die😡 Sounds like your being paid to test the stuff.
Wish we were getting paid.... A follow up video is on the way with a little more info and more detailed results, which may be of interest. Basically we have found that you need repeated spraying to kill the weeds.
Look at the product specifications you silly duffa.
