My brother in law was shot in the back protecting his family by covering them with his big strong body. He served 4 tours in dessert storm to be shot in his home of the USA by a crazy man with enough firearms for a small army. He survived his physical wounds but he and family of 8 are still experiencing ptsd from their experience. They question every trip outside their home that requires large crowds. The struggle becomes really real when it hits home, your family. My home is Texas, I love our state. Thank you for recognizing the wounded & killed of all mass murders. I can't help but think of my boyfriend losing his 16 yr old son to Burkett's cancer, then his wife left him 4 months later taking his youngest and only son with her. I never met Jake but I dedicate this to Jake and daddy Chris. It's hard to be the next woman in his life but God has this. His broken heart will mend in time and with help from friends and family. Good rendition mavericks.
