Yes, we know, you are seeing masses of Flying Ants & it is horrible, we get it. Try not to panic.
If we tell you a little about the common Garden Ant you will get to understand why the Flying King and Queen Ants aren't really the enemy! The tiny flying ants are King (male) ants and the much larger flying ants are the Queen (female) ants.
These Flying ants are all going in one direction. They are all leaving their nest to fly into the air where they will meet other King and Queen ants, mate, and then set up new ant colonies elsewhere.
The Pest Interceptors always advise that it is best to treat an ants nest before the nest starts to eject millions of flying ants. It is probably best to treat an ants nest either before or just after the ants do their synchronised mating flights (yes, all the ant nests in the area all come out at the same time, no one really understands how they communicate this phenomenon, but they do).
When the ants are leaving the colony of worker ants they are leaving, never to return. We want, need, the ants to take the insecticide back into the ant nest.
When the Worker ants go to and from the nest this amazing insecticide gets carried around the ant nest. Sooner or later one of the insecticide covered worker ants will pass the ant killing insecticide on to the queen of the colony (each colony only has one queen). Once te queen is dead that is the nest destroyed!
This ant destroyer insecticide also contains an I.G.R. (Insect Growth Regulator). This means that even if the Queen isn't completely killed off her eggs and young ants will not function properly and the ant nest shall die off over time as the numbers fall and the colony cannot survive without enough new worker ants to keep the ants nest functioning.
This 3 stage ant insecticide killer will also kill the Flying Ants, but in our opinion you might be better to just let those ants go outside and then kill the nest off completely later. The choice is obviously yours, but why clean up loads of dead ants if you don't need to?!

What about red ants I have loads in my garden and when they but they bite. I've tried almost everything to get red of them but nothing seems to work
