- For the 2nd race in a row, Dario Franchitti flips again just after the checkered flag came out for teamate Tony Kanaan. Kosuke Matsuura was the other car involved.
This video also includes the on-board footage from Franchitti's car. And interviews with Matsuura and Franchitti.
Marty Reid and Scott Goodyear with the call.
Better the safer barrier than the catch fence, wow
Darcy Cardinal that's exactly what I said. I hate bringing this up but looking back at this crash it reminds me of Dan Wheldon's fatal crash at Las Vegas.
Ironic fact... both Franchitti flips occured in race won by Tony Kanaan...
looked at how packed the stands are. It looks like the cup race.
i was at that race. first one ive ever been to and i got to see that lol.
in the same race danica patrick almost took out the safety truck hahaha
I was there too. 🤣 I loved that race. Pisses me off that it doesn't exist anymore.
No, that was Marco Andretti at Indy. Dario won that race!
There wasn't much passing in 2011, but when there was it was spectacular. Look at Vettel on Alonso at Monza, or Webber on Alonso at Spa. This year there is loads of passing, and very exciting racing. I like Indycar and F1 at the same time.
Why doesn't anyone seem to watch or go to Indy Car races anymore ?
lack of promotion and pack racing
The division in 1996 took it's toll
@@terryjohnson8994 luckily the 500 is still very well attended
@@joekaput747 I Still Watch The Races You Know.
@@AlonsoRules lack of promotion's the bigger problem.
i know what happend, he seriously lost communcation several laps before the finish. He didn't know how he lost the radio, but i bet it had to do with some of the wiring or the intena.
2007 Was The Same Year Lovely Complex Premiered As Well As Mononoke, Hatara Kids: My Ham-Gumi, GeGeGe No Kitaro (5th), And Yes! Pretty Cure 5.
Im suprised he didnt get a nickname for that year. Like Flipman or something.
in that year? then marco andretti whould have the same nickname! lol
the commentators finally said blowover!!!!!!!!!!!!
There goes the on board camel.
And don't we all just love onboard "camels"?
+Joel Miles The trackside camels are pretty cool too!
well at least he finished 8th
Teammate wins.... Show him up by flipping the car. (Glad he's alright though.)
LOL. Marty Reid actually sadi "All hell broke loose" lol
@KraZiixShiiZ
Passing on an oval is fun to watch, but it it certainly is not any harder than passing on a road course. Passing on a road corse certainly isint as simple.
F1's been devoide overtaking for years. Partly because the cars require a different driving style, and partly because of the Herman Tilke post-modern tracks that have very nice toilets, but have bad layouts.
why would his crew say something? shouldn't they have said white flag the lap before?????
@KraZiixShiiZ
Your not paying attention at all.
1:24 bruh
He won the 500...
terrible luck, he lost two valuable cars in wrecks
gr3g0r5 don't understand why you hate this its no boring than your sport oh look there breaking again + how is this a oval its not even close
he flipped because he didn't know the race was over...welcome to ammature hour! i've seen less idiotic things at a local short track
a multi-time winner and champion of the sport, not getting the information relayed to him in time, and the little caution light on the back of the cars blinking on the split second before impact after several hours of a high g-force workout, yes, amateur hour indeed
Indy car is just boring! all they do is drive in a giant oval! It is nothing compared to Formula 1
i m sry if i m beinh a dick but what is your opinion about it nowadays? seriously i m curious as fuck
Indycar oval racing is brilliant. formula 1 and it's boring "races" have nothing on Indycar, whether the american series is on oval, street or road course.
@@DW98rosy yeah I was a child when I wrote that. Still don't care about indy but now I also don't care about f1
