You really can't comprehend how awesome a drumline's cadence is until you are marching over to the field and you hear the drums and you see the people moving over for you.
Every year in HS, we would play a different drum cadence to march into the Football games with. Every year we couldn't WAIT to hear it for the first time in Band summer practice.
Holy smokes. That's some clean tight playing. Great beats :D. I'm dancing like a lunatic to this stuff. Should pipe it through the stereo in my car and blast it until my ears hurt.

10 minutes, yes... Lots of repeats though. And the music isn't really challenging except for the 2 minute mark. But that was also really clean so... Haha
These guys are the cleanest and badest college drummers out there. USC takes the cake by far. That drumline piece is beautifully orchestrated. Nice tempos and rhythms and the toms in the back are perfectly played. What a piece!
I love how the snare line is so together, as well as the tenors and the bass and the cymbals. Good job guys, the timing was pretty good and love the tuplets!
...what can be said about this? The fact that they can keep time so well, stay together the entire way through, handle all the advanced sticking and flourishing...and the unison...perfection. Perfect 10.
More 'SC trivia - Fleetwood Mac used the USC Marching Band for their song "Tusk" in the '80's. I have a photo book of USC history showing different photos over the years. One of the pics show Mick Fleetwood wearing a set on the practice field on campus. LA streets used to run through the current day campus. The white Alumni House is the original school from 1888. There's a gargoyle on campus which flashes the "finger". There's also a new sculpture that does the same facing the University of California for Lower Achievement.

As a fan of the traditionally "black" bands, I must say, USC is one of the best I have EVER seen, and that includes Southern University, Grambling State, FAMU, and others... Good job USC!! BTW, Univ. of Texas's band is pretty decent too...

its pretty clean as far as that goes, but its pretty basic as rudimental drumming goes, sweet visuals, but damn guys put some stank on it and play some more cheese inverts and some flam 5's like yall did at about 2:40 into it it got pretty tight then

What you're listening to is a monster drumline: 11 snares, 8 bass, 12 or 13 cyms, and 4 or 5 tenors..
9 years old, but is still very popular. If you watch it, it is very easy to see why.
