I have found myself only watching your videos for the most part and I think I have figured one huge reason! Somehow, you seem to always seem positioned to where I can see your dry fly and see the takes. It's almost like I am fishing through your eyes! Great video as usual!
Love fishing the small streams, to me, they fish a lot better. They do hold smaller fish, but every now and then you get that nice surprise. Enjoyed watching drew. Tight lines. 👍
Every time I watch your videos I can’t wait until the free moment to drive to the mountains for fishing. Running short on food, do some catch and cook for a change. I think I have only see you do that once. I throw most of mine back but do some occasional catch and cook over the camp fire.
Hi Drew -- watched this video and then was surprised to see you had posted it only "4 minutes ago!" So fine to get "fresh videos" from you, especially from such a beautiful spot!
Definitely could have gone lighter but I always carry my pack on first look excursions bc it has my first aid kit, spot, water filtration bottle and other gear jic something goes bad. If I get hot I just take a swim. Plus repacking every day for different situations is pia when you're out for weeks.
Hey Drew! Long time lover of your channel. These trips are on my bucketlist. I've seen your gear videos, but would you mind periodically sharing the rod/reel in the comments and some flies that you used in the comments? It's interesting to hear how you approach a seam, what fly you use/split shots, indicator etc . It's a sort of learning lesson for us newbs! Love the example at 5:10 where you explain why you threw a dropper on the ant.
I've added specific walk thru vids on adding split shot, the 3 rods I use...let me drop some links incase they aren't easy to find. I definitely try to add more in every few days, like the video I shared on Sunday that had flies and rod selection.
always a pleasure to watch. one suggestion. when you do slowmotion, do it only with the video and keep the audio in real speed. In my opinion, it sounds better.
Great video as usual Drew. You seem to spend a lot of time alone in bear country. Can you say something about how you deal with that and the impact it has on your experience. I’ve fished some bear country waters and found it can distract from the fishing experience. Never sense that in your videos so just curious about your approach. Thanks… and keep fishing!
I'll make a note to add that into a video. I've definitely touched on it in several vids...being loud, walking down camps looking for food left by other campers, in the Idaho extended video I go thru how I clean up after dinner away from the stream.
Great video. I was curious if you run across high stream temps with the air temp being as high as it is or are you at such high elevation it's keeping stream temps down .
No, not at that altitude and the nature of the canyon keeps the temps lower bc most of the creek rarely sees sun. But that's also why I avoid the lower stretches and the slower moving wide open water which tends to warm way more!
Decided to kinda edit/share my favorites and then put them in order in the extended vids. MT was actually near the end of my trip but it was so cool I just really wanted to share it lol!

Thank you definitely appreciate it! 🙏

Very true! I'll take 3 days solo on a stream like this every time. The other popular spots near here were crawling with people!
Awesome video and that is the epitome of a perfect day on the water for me. A fiberglass rod would make those little cutties a blast!
Thank you Drew. 73 days until the Michigan trout opener. Can't wait to wet a line.
Brutal. I fished last wknd, and I'll fish this one. Season open all year in this part of Montana.

Top class fisherman, I haven’t missed a video of your since you have come on line.
Truly appreciated 🙏
I’m really gonna miss this trip when it over. Great stuff.
Me too and I'm not sure I'll get to do a long trip this year....so I'm incredibly thankful I was able to the last 2 years!
Man I love your style your doing what a lot of people only dream of
Great day of fishing!
Reminds me where I go in N Idaho. Beautiful.
So cool, that you try a stream that's unknown and it works out. Good Video, Thanks.

Thank u...yea been trying to post every Sunday and Wednesday for the last few weeks.
Holy cow what a gorgeous creek. Such great patterns on those cutthroats as well!
Some of the prettiest I've seen!
Very nice little creek. You seemed pretty heavy clothed for 80 - 90 degrees though. With that temperatures I only wear my simms shrt.

Really enjoy watching your videos, don’t get to fish like I want so I definitely envy you
Glad you like them!
That first rod looks like a pretty soft rod. Those are fun to cast!
Man you fish some beautiful streams 😁
I try for sure and luck out sometimes!
Beautifull,super,nice stream and vidio,big trout.Thank you mister.
Many thx!

Here's my tips playlist with rigs, walking thru runs, adding shot, 3 rods I use, etc ua-cam.com/play/PLNjE57qEE2wz0_Nq-_JTnoYtyR5N6TFJu.html
Great stream and day, congrats!

Enjoyed the video, great experience, the fishing looked great along with the scenery!
Glad you enjoyed it
God's country! You caught the creek's trophy at 6:30 ... well done sir.
That was a nice surprise!
totally cool looknfishy 🐟
Found a good one!

Another great stream Drew! Love those deeper pools with bigger fish. Was that a Brookie at the end? Flashed kinda quick and was dark.
Is that upper St Joe?!
Pixilation still there! Every 10 seconds or so.
Have you found many creeks that ended up being fishless?
Sooo good. Hey man do you think you could sometime do a video on how you stay "bear safe" on these trips?
I'll make a note to add that into a video. I've definitely touched on it in several vids...being loud, walking down camps looking for food left by other campers, in the Idaho extended video I go thru how I clean up after dinner away from the stream.
Saludos desde México
Vaya Con Dios Sergio!
Beauties. Those are a nice size. Are there any species there that you kept to eat while camping?
I'll keep some brookies like in part 5...ua-cam.com/video/mL1xhAgaUyw/v-deo.html
What’s the story on the last really dark 7” fish…very different from all the others..thanks!
Pretty brook trout!
@@LooknFishy Jumped out of my chair with that one!

Right on, thank you Sir.
What’s your setup ?
Let me know where!!!
Be their soon. I wish.
Back to Idaho??

Idaho sucks, it’s awful. If you’re smart you’d stay far far away
I agree lol!
