Nice Drew! Haven't seen a SW video from you in a minute. This past year was my first to try and target Striper on the fly exclusively from a paddleboard. You made it look easy but even barefooted and a floating line, I step on my line CONSTANTLY and intermediate lines are even harder! Newfound respect!
Kinda get burned out on filming after my long road trips and haven't filmed many these trips the last couple years...but it was too good not to this time.
@LooknFishy On the remote chance that you ever want to chase stripers in gin clear waters up in New England on an SUP, I'm your guy! Thanks again, know from experience that what we see on your videos is about 1/4 of the time you spent making them! Caught my first carp on the fly on an SUP bc of you!
Reds don't know the meaning of the word quit! You are going to need an adult beverage and a deep muscle massage after a day fighting those bruisers. Great video!!
Good, to see you down in SELA again. I know the area you’re fishing and I had a couple epic trips this year too. It’s been better than it has been in probably about 10 years. I’ll have to do some more “research” 😊 before I can venture a guess why.
You're gonna need a bigger net! What a day! What's your leader setup? That's a very large looking knot at your tippet..........they don't require a bite tippet do they?
Mmmmmmm That all just looks like bliss on just about every imaginable count. You need a bigger net, btw, here in the UK we routinely carry ones with 30-40(+) inch arms if we are looking at fish this size. They don't have to weigh much.
Oldtown sportsman 105 pdl...but any kayak that you can stand up in and sightfish would work. I'm actually considering getting another kayak and a newport motor just for marsh trips. My basshunter is too heavy and won't push over the skinny tides...I would have been stranded a couple times in it lol
@@LooknFishyhow do you manage your fly line in a pedal drive? I have considered getting one but I haven’t because it seems like too much stuff for the line to get caught on.
On days like this with almost no wind, I just let it drift in the water. On windy days a wet towel over the drive works perfectly...enough weight to not get blown off and easy to move when you need to pedal.
Do you use textured line? My wife’s Helios makes the same noise on the guides, but we only use smooth lines. Does it on both her 8 and 10 wt. It’s so annoying. Makes us want to not even use them
Good to see you back in the salt Drew. I love the sound of that Orvis reel screeeeming! What a Blast!
Reds will wear you out!!! Great video 😁😁👍👍
Good thing you have today on tape, I don't think anyone would beieve what kind of day you had.
Wow .... those Redfish are explosive!🐟💪🏻
8:15 Wow I thought for a minute there it was going to tow you out to sea, man!😀
3:16 what an awesome top water strike!
Nice catch!
Damn dude. I'm jealous
That was fun just to watch. Can’t imagine catching that many especially that size. Thanks for the ride.

@bradsaunders5367 that would be super cool. If I ever make it up there I'll take you up on that offer!

Geez, Drew: that's fantastic. Thanks for sharing it with us.
That's quality right there. Well done Drew.

I need to do more "research" myself!
so sick dude
Another great video Drew, you make it look easy.😊👍🏻🎣
You had a day to remember.
Those are some tanks..well done.
Nice change from trout.
Upper body strength was tested on that trip!
That brute at the end must have been fun and rewarding.
Dude that was an epic day. Loved seeing this.
I’m in LR. Would love to get out on the water with ya sometime.
Some explosive takes there Drew, thanks for sharing, not using 5x im guessing!
😮phenomenal skills
Yessssss more redfishhhh!!!

I broke an Orvis 8 wt. on a redfish on the Florida flats. Still landed the fish. Amazing day, and Orvis replaced the rod too!
Aye Lad...
Looks like you need a bigger net🍻😎
That much fun could be illegal!
Awesome video! What size rod and leader setup? How do you know where you are? Best!
Yeah buddy
Drew, those were some beautiful Reds you caught their! Were you using a 9 or 10wt for those monsters?
8 but I'll take the 9 next trip...wasn't expecting that many bulls!
Awesome
10/10 day
Mmmmmmm
That all just looks like bliss on just about every imaginable count.

Do you share where and t8me of year?
Hey Drew what kayak you use out there ?

Now that’s what you call tight lines and screaming reels

Thanks, man!
What was that you spooked at the beginning?
Probably a gator I’m guessing
Likely a big red on a thin flat.
Looks like a snook.
@@Brian-kr1pt No snooks in the marshes of Louisiana.
Literally everything!!!
What month were you there?

What month?
Is that brakish or salt water?
Are those fish you’re catching good to eat. ?
Yes!!
Your net looks tiny😅
