Thank you for these videos sir. Sometimes I feel like I will amount to nothing because I have completely wasted the last 10 years of my life with substance abuse and living for others, but when I watch one of your videos it reminds me of why I decided to get sober 4 months ago and it puts me back on track because I don't want to be in the same place I am in now at 35. This week I am committed to start spending at least 2 hours of every day to learn a new skill, I will create an event in my calendar to come back here and see whether I have lived up to my expectations or not.
I feel similarly to you. I haven't had to deal with substance abuse (fortunately), but I have had depression and anxiety on and off since I was 12. Today I'm 29, and I've fallen down so many times, I don't have a count. I'm a lot further behind careerwise compared to my peers than I'd like. However, I always get myself up and continue to move forward-that's what's important. Sometimes it's really hard to believe that a successful career is possible for me, but something in me always tells me to keep going. Congratulations on your sobriety; you're taking steps forward. I believe in us :)
I am committed to posting 1 video a week on my new UA-cam channel (aiming low to stay consistent). The vulnerability of posting my thoughts and ideas out there is definitely putting me out of my comfort zone but that’s how i will grow. Thank you for posting videos like these, they truly make a difference and have inspired me to start sharing my ideas on my new channel🙏🏼
@ I’m going to be accountable to watching your video from start to finish as soon as it shows up on my feed.😂 but in all seriousness, I’m going to post one long form video everyday on UA-cam in 2025. That’s my promise to myself.
Thank you! I only found out about you the day before yesterday through the algorithm. I experience your talks as a mix of motivational speaking and ASMR (haha). From this particular one I take away that I wasn't aware enough of the difference between being interested in something and being committed to something. Keep up the good work, wherever you are.
one of my old friends has a phobia of odd numbers and scrambles to change the radio station until its an even number, she once kept dialing until we landed on the mormon channel and she finally calmed down
@@simonalexandero Improving my communication skills, building my portfolio, crafting workflows, and implementing the things I've learned from the niche that I am trying to learn. Self-doubt, perfectionism, and overthinking often get in the way then. The 7 lessons really resonated with me because these are the lessons that I should always keep in mind right now if I really want to get a better life.
@@simonalexandero It took me some time to think but I think I should start doing daily mindshift and discipline because my mind is way to preoccupied with my family and personal challenges.
I commit to read at least 5 research papers a day, with the aim of completing my literature review. Another commitment is to exercise outside (a jog and flexibility exercise) every morning - I’ve been putting this off for 2 years now. And spiritually I will start every day in the word and with a positive pray to tackle limiting beliefs about myself.
Your not committed your just interested and so it won’t happen. “Well said” ….you are one of my favorite mentors. I’m gonna try harder to get things done. It’s so easy to fall in the cycle of doing nothing productive. Thank you for making these videos and sharing.
I am committing to working out with weights 2x a week instead of my typical 1x (going into that second workout shortly), pushing beyond the chronic nerve pain I have daily, knowing it is importantly for my health. Very inspirational video, enforcing the drive I have to lead the life I am working toward. The reminder about building resilience through the hard work, and hard work now, easier work later, are both exactly what I need to hear, now. Thank you!
I commit to reading daily, exercising at least a little bit daily and helping around the house in at least a small way daily and bigger chores every 2-3 days
Thanks for the video. I like listening to these kinda videos while I cook in the kitchen. Concerning the question "Easy now, hard later" or "Hard now, easy later", i think it is important to find the balance, we cannot always focus on what is hard now and easy later. Life is also meant to enjoy, have fun and get pleasure. In France, leasure time is as important as working hard work in life. But this mentality changes unfornunately with this capitalist world.
I am committed to waking early in the morning if God gives me life ..to complete: meditation & prayer, exercise, reading for 10 minutes, practice piano, study Spanish and German to be fluent and be on time for my 9-5 work.
After a couple of weeks now threatening to clean the dust of my pushbike and start the steps to getting fit again and failing and make excuses every time,I commit to going out on the bike tomorrow

love the message and the channel, but wondering if the meaning of life is really this non-stop grinding on improving yourself. Feel like there should be a balance.
Thank you and you’re right. Very important to get a balance between working hard to improve yourself and enjoying time to just be, to live and to enjoy the present 👏
