Yes that’s me too!👍 Back in the nineties,my FAVORITE tops and blouses were “ELIZABETH”. It was a plus size line made by Liz Claiborne and when I held them up ,they were absolutely square in shape,and when I put them on,PERFECTION!🙌🏻🤭 Even the dressy,silky ones were not meant to be tucked in but just skimmed the waistband,I bet Liz’s mom designed them!😂😅🤣

I am the same. I tend to not wear jeans at all because they add bulk. I wear more lightweight pants such as linen or cotton. It does make a difference.
If full busted and no belt, tuck, or waistline emphasis, we look like a huge tent!
So glad I stumbled across this Elegance at 60 practical video full of great tips. Love the real size and age models. Very tired of seeing 60+ aged video with 30 year old slim models. The kind words at the end of the videos are encouraging and uplifting reminding us that although the world may be youth focused there is power and positivity in being this age. 😊💕

Black or navy drawstring trousers in the summer are a great alternative to dark jeans, as long as the fabric is quite substantial rather than semi-transparent.

I agree with pocket size and placement. I have a few pairs of jeans I love, but the designer tends to put the pockets a bit too low making the butt look like it’s hanging down. I don’t want my back pockets running down onto my legs. Every where else is usually pretty good.
What about wide leg pants..please share a video about that...thank you...your uploads are always helpful.
@@gracejackson-seivwright3880 Yes…great topic. My friend has wanted to take me shopping for new clothes. Finally I asked her what was wrong with the ones I have. She said I was wearing pants with wide legs and should be wearing, not skinny leg, but regular leg. I pulled out an old pair in the back of my closet, put them on and was shocked. I dropped 10 pounds instantly. My short frame and weight just made me look like a box. And I loooooove long leg slacks.

As long as you’re facing forward you look great. But tucking in the top you still have stomach showing especially from the side. No shape ware help- at least not for me .

I agree, the dark wash jeans or pants are the most flattering.
I am short, only 5' 1" and I never wear white pants or white jeans. I will wear light colored tops but not tucked in. I do wear high waisted jeans and wear a top out. I kind of hate the tucked in look. To me, it makes your torso cut off and makes you look shorter. So....even though the weather is dreadfully hot. 100 degrees + lately, I still will only wear dark jeans or black pants and a light color top, white or beige or any light color top.
Please explain how skin tight jeans of any colour is complimentary. Thank you.

Jeans are casual I prefer dress pants for elegant clothing.
I ONLY wear dark wash blue jeans, black jeans or cotton dark colored pants. I do live in an area where the weather is very hot in the summer, 90's to over 100 degrees some days, but average mid 90's temperatures. I am only 5' 1" so darker pants are the best for me and more elongating White pants are not slimming. I absolutely never wear white or pale color pants. I am ok with light color tops or blouses.
The only tip I disagree with, is to wear tops tucked in. I never wear any top tucked in and not comfortable with doing that. I have a short torso and even just looking at some of your models wearing a top tucked into their panta, made their torso from waist to neck, look cut off and short. I think it looks better to wear your blouse or top out instead.
I can't wear the longer jackets AT ALL. From shoulder to waist is only 15 inches on me...and I'm a 16 on top and 18-20 on the bottom (yes, obviously a pear). I look awful in long blazers, because if they are big enough to encompass my seat end, it will look horrid on my 3" wide shoulders, and if it is V-necked it will hit me at full bust area. Which is why, if I'm not in what J. Crew calls a lady jacket, I'm normally in a dress shirt with collar, to adjust the V-neck myself. Your models are lovely, especially with their wrinkled filtered out, but they are hourglasses for the most part. Thanks.

This was so limited! I thought you’d talk about leg shapes like barrel, straight leg, flares, and length. You said not to wear crops, then the monochromatic white outfit which had a green check were cropped. Almost none of the pants were full length, most were ankle length.

I have long slim legs, slim hips and small butt. I also have a short torso, bigger tummy and large bust. If I find a pair of jeans that fit my waist, they droop on my hips and butt - it is next to impossible for me to find flattering any trousers.

Anyone with a large tummy who wears low rise jeans is not of sound mind.

I think you have to be thin with no belly to look good in jeans with a top tucked in.
Also the slim and short pant legs looked ridiculous in most of the models.

We can't assume someone's age based on their voices. I was doing commercials at 55 with my voice because it sounded young. A lot of women don't develop an "old lady's" voice.
