You can have both, the volume control and your personal assistant - try it- after one follows your steps here to reset the earbuds the left one operates on 3 three different modes
Short press - anc
Long press - volume down
Double press - your assistant

That volume issue is crazy, because on the Google Pixel buds pro have swipe gesture for volume, and LG has all those tap gestures and hold gestures to be able to do everything, heck even earfun, good looking out as always!!! #Newstuff

That's actually how I control the Sony WF-1000XM4
I bought 2 brand new Jabra Elite 5s and the Google hotword feature is a pretty plus although there is a widespread software issue here present on both pairs where when Google Assistant is selected as the Voice Assistant, the right earbud's triple press won't perform its assigned action (I've assigned it to Sound Modes). If the Voice Assistant is changed to Android default or Alexa, the triple press action works! This is clearly a software issue. I already tried to reset and re-paired both of the Elite 5s that I got, including reinstalling the Jabra app but the issue of the right bud's triple press not performing its assigned action is still there. It's only evident when I designate Google as my assistant, otherwise, the controls work on both or either bud regardless of what actions I assign. Is this the same for everybody? P.s. I contacted Jabra yesterday via Instagram and phone and they are not aware of this issue, they told me that they are raising this with their Product Development Team. What a bummer for a newly released product, may not be worth hyping this Elite 5s until they fix the issue via a firmware update. I hope this info helps others to not waste their money if they are thinking about getting these Elite 5s.
My 5 not charge %100. Both of my headphones remain at 75% charge. When I'm not using it, the charge of my terminal drops to 10%. what should I do.
for set volume setting you no need to reset .just turn it off GA in settings.
mine have after 2 days with no problem a weird noise as soon as i have anc or hear through if i turn both off no noise but if i turn anc on again the noise comes back only on my right earbud. am i the only one with this problem?

Another option - leave Google assist and when needed just tell it "increase volume" etc.
