Hello! For anyone wondering about a pattern, I have thought about it and I think I'm going to use this as a starting point for a baby dinosaur pattern (wrinkles & rolls included), rather than release it as a crochantosaurus. Keep your eyes peeled for that video in future! :)
I’d love a pattern for his head, that I could even use with other bodies! (Not that they would be NEARLY as cool as the croissantBody! I just LOVE the legs, which I would like to snack on!)
I'd love a pattern for just the tail, so I could crochet myself a croissant, because I suddenly have the urge to crochet myself a croissant ...
I would love to see you make a series out of this, with all of the AI crochet amigurumi pictures that plague pinterest and such!
I'm thinking about it for sure! This is not the first time I've attempted this, it's just the first time I liked the result.
@@ComplicatedKnotsif anyone could make it work, it’d be you dude!!! no pressure obviously, do what u love, just saying it’d be cool :)
I'm so fed up with AI clickbaits, especially on pinterest, then offering you a totally different pattern in poorer quality.
I thought of that while you were doing it, and my gut thought was it feels like it might validate AI crochet. Like everyone screaming its not real is undermined by one very clever and experienced pattern designer can, so therefore it was never fake. My gut response, though, as I said.
I'd enjoy seeing trying and failing and commentary on that. This is absolutely adorable and totally worth it.
Wow, I’ve never seen such clickbaits! I don’t frequent Pinterest…are they anywhere else?
Would it really be a complicated knots video without the hardest working tortoise?
Verily! We all cheer for the hardest working tortoise!
@@ComplicatedKnots 🥳🥳🥳
👏
"Honey are you asking me where babys come from"😆😆😆
This is so cute!! Also you had me cackling - I love your jokes and the way you always show how you figure out how to construct these strange strange shapes.
Adorbs! Problem solving and sculpting with not-normal medium ---- winner winner!!!
I haven't watched the video yet but could you please consider making way more in-depth tutorials on advanced amigurumi formation. You are the best I've seen and I want to learn everything you know from you!! I want to learn every single technique so that I can learn to do what you do, see something 2D and crochet it in 3D. It's truly incredible. Thank you for sharing your skills with us. Xx
Funny as an illustrator to see you incorporate acrylics and watercolor paint into this, haha. The end result looks amazing though! The detailed work you do is crazy, I admire your patience :) Very cute boi :)
I enjoy cross-pollinating my crafts when I see a chance! :)
Heck yeah complicatedknots for breakfast!
Ham&cheese or jam though?
Holy COW what an impressive and adorable creation! And a delightful video, love the bloopers at the end
I adore the music choices in this.
The croissantasaurus turned out very nice.❤
I hadn't seen the original but I'm so glad you made him he's super cute
I always like seeing how you approach the problem. I probably would have done large triangles and rectangles and rolled them up like real croissants to get the layers on the body, tail, and limbs. Then add the little hands and feet. The head would be like yours.
He turned out so cute! 🦖
the base shape before you get to the head is giving me sandshrew vibes which is giving me some ideas about my next project 😂 i love this!
This is freaking cool! I saw the Instagram post and someone mentioned in the comments that you have a video, so I absolutely had to see the process. Brilliant done! 👏👏👏
What an interesting concept and charming little fella! I was fascinated with your process on this, especially the painting. I know a lot of amigurumi folks will use makeup or paint or other pigment on their creations, and I'm always super nervous of doing that. also chiming in here to say I'm a big fan of the patron names over a blooper reel, I hope it's not too much extra work for you to edit, but it really does feel like a little extra treat if we stay all the way to the end of the video >:3
So much to say about this video, but here’s the highlights…
A - I love it so much. Your ambition is admirable, and your creative and practical skills are off the chart!
B - You’re a natural presenter, both thorough, humorous, and charismatic.
C - It’s SO interesting to see how your mind works through the project. That’s very helpful, useful information.
D - I literally cackled when you mentioned “calling about your car’s extended warranty” because I had no clue that was a worldwide scam. I always assumed they only target us “stupid” Americans. Sad reality, but hilarious reference.
E - Your final piece is way better than the AI. He’s precious!
Thank you for this most entertaining upload!
Your significant others question at the in was incredibly valid.
Oh my gosh YES more of this please!!!!🙌🏼💕
Im absolutely stunned by your attempt and for me you totally nailed it. love your voice, that you take us (=viewer) into your thought/creative process and the results are always amazing. Didnt find you that long ago, but I already watched a lot
Your comment on "it's all downhill from here" and "it's all uphill from here" meaning the same BROKE MY BRAIN bc I thought they are opposite but they are not? Why? How? I just can't 😭
i find it funny that as im watching this im painting a safty eye and then i look up and see you painting a safty eye
I love this! (also can we talk about how the shape is a little bit sandshrew and wouldn't that be adorable?) :D
ETA: I love the way you edited the video as well with the drawings and example pictures and everything.
I love him! This was quite the journey watching you make this croissant-asaurus.
Now this sure is a COMPLICATED knots project for sure!
You are so brave to tackle this project and so clever to have nailed it.
me: dude i'd LOVE to make this pattern! he's such a cute guy and it would be so fun to paint the details!
Also me, who'd never be able to sew all those pieces:
That flakey joke sold me! I’ve immediately subscribed!
Your videos and this one especially have made me want to try to make them with sewing(I need to get my machine in to be fixed). A stiff shiny-ish fabric might look really cool for the layers
Honestly, yours turned out better than the image. I’ve always thought the eyes were creepy whenever I see that picture, you worked your magic and made it CUTE. Also he reminded me of a roasted turkey at the beginning stages 😂
omg a shar-pei or pug tutorial from you sounds amazing, hope you’ll do it 😊
I love the blooper reel at the end!
Loving all the jokes and puns! Also, small shout out to the effort you put into editing this one. The result came out amazing, super cute.
Not as chaotic as the AI generated written patterns but i love this lil guy just as much ❤
This came out SO good! I never knew you could use paints to help shade yarn, so this really was interesting.
You have completely RISEN to the challenge! I love puns. Seriously AMAZING. Love this! ☺️🫶🏻🧶🥐🦖
Wow!! This turned out INCREDIBLE!! you truly are so inspiring with your skill and creativity ❤
Your creativity is amazing! This is so cool
I also love your teacup collection!!
i thought it was never going to look like a croissant and then at 11.18 I had the thought: 'mmm looks tasty' hahahaha you are amazing at this! :D
I am amazed by every post you have. My dream is to be able to draw and create as well as you do. Your talent is unmatched. ❤❤❤❤❤
this is adorable!!!! id love to see a series of this, you're amazing!!!
He is amazing. I love it! You really are so very creative. Well done
It is absolutely stunning!
This has to be my favorite piece! You did such amazing!!!❤❤❤
This is amazing! I wish I had your talent to just create. Thank you for creating him, he looks fantastic.
You are so creative! 😮 Thank you for sharing your process of your project in the making 💗
I LOVE THIS!!! So super adorable! I do hope the pattern becomes a thing.
He's adorable! And I love the tricks you used, very cool, will keep that in mind if I ever need it!
you are so freaking talented!
I love in the sewing montage, you can see one arm coloured in
I'd love to be as creative as you are! This is so amazing! I love your work 💓
I think we all want a pattern for this❤❤❤
Omg i love him! This video gave me so much joy watching and you always have me laughing along with you. Love your style of videos and your funny side! Will see you on your next Livestream! ❤😊
This is so beautiful and exceptionally skillful. I love that your'e beating Ai with Reality
What an amazing creation! And apart from the urge to crochet it immediately, for some unknown reason I'm suddenly quite hungry.
i just found your channel and wow, you are so talented. And i love your personality. Im looking forward to watch all your videos.
What a great dino. Awesome work ❤
I'm loving the evolution of your videos, thank you for the laughs and bringing us on your creative journey. The bloopers at the end are a great way to top off a great video 😊
Thank you so much! :)
I cannot express how much I love this 💜
This is awesome👍 Keep it up
This whole video had me giggling, he is such a chonky lad 😊❤ and i didnt expect a holo taco cross over!!
Even my husband (who is not at all into chrocheting) watched this video until the end! Your videos are entertaining and we are impressed by your skills.
I love him so much great job!
Absolutely adorable!
Totally awesome ❤
So true, thank you for spreading awareness ❤
Great job.its spot on
This is amazing!!
I learned a lot from this video, I must say. Great results, i love it
This is so incredible 👏👏👏
i think it would be fun if you fully drew and rendered the image you were crocheting first :) that way its entirely your own. this is great inspiration!! love your work
This is beautiful thank you for sharing
Hope you decide to do a tutorial on making him ❤
Amazing!
You did so amazing with this! Very clever and creative! I get very annoyed with AI crochet images. Most are totally unachieveable but people want you to make them….and not cost much at the same time! 😭🤣🤣🤣
You are amazing! I particularly loved the flakey joke too ; -)
this is so amazing! Looks good enough to eat
you are awesome made my day thank u for being you
You are aaaaaamazing!!!!!!❤
Darn it, now I'm dying for a croissant.
I hate to say it, but... It's = It is. Its = belonging to.
That said, I LOVED the video. I think the new way of handling the patron names is great, and the bloopers at the end are fun. The crochauntosaurs turned out pretty amazing, and I'd love to see you do a more refined wrinkly dinosaur pattern. Heck, we could even turn it into a wrinkly dragon too with a few changes (like some horns, and a pair of cute, stubby wings).
You make the coolest stuff, I wanna be as good as you one day
Excellent ❤
You amuse me as well😁
Love your creativity when it comes to such unique shapes!!! I would have never thought of the technique you used for the legs but it makes so much sense now that i saw it.
Also as someone who loves baking and crochet, I now wanna make both, an actual croissantosaurus (even though pastry-dough is my least favorite to work with) as well as a crochet-croissantosaurus. ❤
So it is pastry? I was trying to work out the bread/pastry question!
@@ComplicatedKnots I'm pretty sure it is, at least in my native language which... Isn't English😅 but as a German I can confidently say it is not bread😅🥐🥖💕
Amazing
I think you should invest in chalk pastels to stain the fibers with a dry powder to change the color without making the yarn crusty
Wow I hope you made a pattern that others can try to follow.😮❤
I love watching your videos honestly I learn a new way to fix my own crochet every time love it haha
Also those legs look like shrimp to me aswell, anyone else, haha new pattern unlocked 😂
I hope we get to see a big chunky pug! :O
I've seen people use make up like eyeshadow for adding softer details, maybe something to consider trying in the future x
The shape is perfection! 🥐
For the acrylic paint, isn't the old one reusable, just by adding some water back? Like watercolour.
What a cute little chonk 😂😂😂 I love him
that is a super cute rexy
It came out great! Personally, were I to attempt, I would probably use a shade darker for the "bready" part. Other than that, I'd love to see a pattern for this. 👍
You are amazing! and that looks good enough to eat 😄
Yay it's Thursday!
for the eyes - you may need to give them a light sanding to help any top coat stick, but also you could just use fine sandpaper alone to bring down the shine a little. and ofc be sure to wear a mask and have good ventilation when sanding plastics!
i haven't finished the video yet but he's looking SO cute - plus i feel like i learn so much watching your videos! your problem-solving techniques just blow my third eye wide open, lmao
Oooh I will try that next time for sure! It sticks ok as long as nothing touches it XD
@@ComplicatedKnots well he IS a delicate, pastry-puff boy! he deserves to be handled with care 😌
Amazing! Suggestion: try make-up powders/ palettes and setting spray in lieu of paint!
