As soon as you struck that first note, Classic LP Junior tone. Great work!.
Cheers, I'm very happy with how this one has turned out :)
This build was a real pleasure to watch all come together, beautiful job Pat! I’m sure this Beaut will give you or someone lots of years of rock’n’roll enjoyment 🤙
Cheers, I'm finding it hard to put this one down at the moment.
I bet! Enjoy it buddy.
Wonderful build Patrick. I enjoyed each and every episode. The end result was worth the hard work that went into it. 👍
Cheers, I'm very pleased with the result, plays very nice.
Спасибо за видео. Это великолепный результат, мне очень нравится смотреть за Вашей работой! Спаси, что делитесь опытом и знаниями.
Спасибо за просмотр, очень рада, что вам понравилось.
🎵 It's a Long Way to the Top if you wanna Rock and Roll⚡️
Fantastic guitar
Thanks :)
If the Shed is a rockin' don't bother knockin'! Great work Pat. Looks amazing. It's definitely on my list of builds coming up. And now thanks to you have a great series to help me out. I appreciate all the time you put in. Sounds great too!
Cheers, it's a good fun little build and I really do love juniors, great little guitars :)
Really enjoyed watching/following this build - can't wait for the next build
Thanks, new project starts tonight...
Great looking and sounding guitar! I've really enjoyed this series and I am looking forward to the next build. Thanks!
Cheers, next build coming right up :)
Sounds like Rock-n-Roll. Another great job. Can't wait until your next build, I hope it's a V. 👍
Cheers buddy, new build coming right up.
Thanks a lot for sharing this project with us. I loved it and look forward to the next project!
Cheers, new project starts tonight...
Nice little tool for installing the tuner bushings. Great build!
Cheers, a very simple but effective tool, did the job brilliantly.
Great series of videos on this Les Paul Junior build. I have picked up many tips and will apply them to my building. I'm particularly interested in the fact that you have proven that your don't need high tech gear to build an electric guitar. I admire you plane skills and wish I could do the same. Cheers mate, will continue to explore your videos. As an aside, I note you you have a 335 Gibson build, which I haven't watched yet. I am interested in this build, having owned a Les Paul Junior and also still own a pristine 1957/58 ES335 TDN Gibson, which I bought in 1965 as the second owner. Great guitars!! Cheers mate...
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed. I loved both of those builds and play them both often.
Brilliant job. I love the final effect, it looks & sounds just like it should do. It's been a pleasure to watch the whole series :) Thanks a lot :)
Cheers buddy, thanks for watching.
Another stunning result, Pat! Good work. This one looks absolutely perfect. Sounds great too!
Cheers buddy, I'm chuffed with this one, plays nice and sounds good.
Looks and sounds really terrific, Pat, good job. Looking forward to your next build. Mark
Cheers Mark, I'm very happy with this one.
Very enjoyable and informative build. Also, I've stolen your bushing press, so don't bother looking for it! That is one beautiful guitar!
Cheers, you are welcome to the bushing press :)
Nicely done! Reminds me of a ‘59 tv double cut special I owned long ago.
Thanks, I very nearly bought a TV special a few years ago. Not a 59 but still very nice, would love a proper vintage one!
Holy Shit! Theatre of Hate! I love that band, and I've been watching your videos for forever!
I'm a big Theatre of Hate and Spear of Destiny fan, first time I went to a ToH gig1981, last time I went 2022.
I'm going to be seeing them for the first time in October near Philadelphia.@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams
Really nice mate, well done. Come up trumps with that wrap around bridge. Keep us posted for your next build
Thanks, I was quite shocked that the intonation was so good.
A thing of beauty. Awesome job❤🕊✝️🙏
Thank you :)
I really enjoyed watching this build. Like all your videos, I found it inspiring. I now look forward to your GGBO guitar build!
Cheers buddy, GGBO coming right up...
Job's a good 'un. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks, couple of days to get the shed tidied and I'll be onto the next one.

Cheers, won't be long now...
Stunning attention to detail as always. Sweet. Sounds amazing.
Dan
Cheers :)
Another fun project! I agree that the finish is first rate.
Thank you :)
Love single pick-up guitars you’ve really captured the Gibson look stunning looking guitar👍
Thanks buddy, I'm very happy with this one :)
Mate, that’s awesome! Love everything about this. The tortoise shell really complements the yellow. Great method for the fitting tuner bushings and man, it sounds lush. Gorgeous bit of bite and crunch that’s really made me want to jump into The Shed and jam along to You Shook Me all Night Long 😂 Beautiful guitar, i think you’re going to have a lot of fun with. (Cool tee too..)
Cheers bud, sounds great through the big Marshall, just a pity I can't really crank it and getting it singing properly :)
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams that vintage 'N'arshall of yours is a lovely amp. I have a mid 60's ac30, can't really switch it on at home!
Very classy, guitar, prosuction
Great build series again
Cheers buddy, I enjoyed this one.
Fantastic result, love your work and thoroughly enjoyed the series. Very inspiring 👍
Cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed it :)
Wow! This has everything purrfect.
Thank you :)
Its sound is every bit as good as its looks.
Cheers buddy.
another marvelous build patrick! now to go back and watch everything from episode 1. just finished a lefty 3/4 size sg for my nephew. nothing quite like hearing the first notes from a new build. look forward to your next project. take care!
Cheers, it's a magic moment isn't it :) New project starts tonight...
Great job! Clear and bold tone, and looks perfect.
Cheers buddy.
Nice job and well done. Love watching your videos and using a lot of your techniques on my build
Cheers, good to hear it's helping people :)
Another fine work of art. Always a pleasure to visit AFTSOD and see what's building. The LP Jr. with the single pickup did excellent in my fave guitarist Leslie West's hands although he played a single cutaway. The tones he got out of it on his Mountain Climbing album is like no other.
Thanks, my exposure to Leslie West is limited but what I have heard is great and a lovely junior tone.
Looks great, sounds great with a nice growl and tone. And some nice playing. Well done
Thanks buddy, I'm really pleased with it :)
Wow...fabulous job...fretboard looks delicious 🎉
Cheers :)
Not only looks the business, it sounds it! Especially through that JMP 🥰
Well done Pat. Killer series and result. Dean
Cheers buddy, hopefully I can find a time to crank the amp past 1 and really get it working :)
😂😂 know what you mean. Rare days when I can get past one. When it does happen…enjoy! 😎
Turned out great! Can't wait to see what you do next!
Cheers, new build coming up...
It's been great to watch Pat. Beautiful guitar
Thanks mate.
Looks good, sounds good, smells good 👌
Cheers buddy :) smells of nitro TBH but we all know that smells like victory!
Fantastic, have you seen that Rick Beato and Gibson have brought out a red double cut.
I have, it looks very nice. I want, yet can't have one :)
Congrats Pat! Such a great build and sounds great!
Cheers buddy.
Another excellent build, well done 👍
Thanks :)
Sustains for ever! Beautifull!
Cheers, it does indeed :)
Very good lookin' & sounds pretty too. Nice one.
Cheers buddy :)
Looks and sounds great, sustaaaaaaaaiiiiiin! 😂
Cheers, sustains like a good un!
Fantastic build, really enjoyed watching it through. Final guitar looks amazing, the finish in particular looks perfect.
I see you have just started your GGBO build.... ah well I will get to that work sometime!
Cheers buddy, it seems I'm not as late to the GGBO party as I thought :)
Pat this was a stunning build. . . Love the sustain too! This was my first experience following your channel, needless to say I will be following your future projects as well as looking back into your archives to catch up! I am just beginning modifying guitars and have built a few cigar box guitars, but plan on eventually trying my hand at a complete build some day!
Cheers and welcome to the channel, glad to hear you are planning on building your own :)
Looks absolutely mint; great work fella!
Cheers buddy :)
Looks and sounds fantastic.
cheers.
👏👏👏👏Well Done!
Cheers :)
Love it Patrick. Sounds and looks really good. Well done. Am surprised how well it intonated, but it sounded spot on. Surprisingly, my 3 saddle Telecaster is also one guitar I have that intonates perfectly to my surprise. Can't wait till the next one... Early days but, Any spoilers, what you have up your sleeve next?. Cheers. Mike.
Thanks, it seems that sometimes they just come together right and sometimes they don't lol. New build starts tonight so you won't have to explore the posibilities much longer ;)
Congratulations. Another outstanding success!
Thanks buddy :)
A rock and roll machine at its finest, job well done Mr. Conner !
Cheers buddy :)
Sounds and looks killer!
Thank you :)
The first play through, what a feeling! Congrats on yet another awesome build. Can’t wait to see the next one!
Cheers, new build coming right up.
Stunning build mate - Spot on and great sound well done!!!! - Whats the next project???
Cheers, I'll be starting my GGBO build at the weekend so it will be along soon. It will be a little different to this one ;)
She looks brilliant... curious how much she weighs ultimately.. that is a big slab of mahogany .. that is a rock/blues/punk machine for sure.. does anything sound bad though a 70's JMP?.. color is spot on.. and rattle can as well.. fantastic job.. and 1.0mm action.. now you are in my flat fingerboard Floyd Rose territory.. and that ebony board held together..
It's a beast, the neck is fat as well and it comes in at a mighty 9.5 pounds. I've had the JMP for thirty plus years and I've never found anything that sounds bad through it!
So nice, again your attention to all the little details paid off! I’m so happy to have followed every step of the build, it was quite fun 😀
Cheers, I'm really pleased with this one, having trouble putting it down :)
It's alive!! Kudos!
Cheers :)
Well done pal, sounds great 👍
Cheers buddy.
Fantastic work.
Cheers.
Great !
Cheers :)
Stunning!
Cheers :)
Great as ever!
Cheers :)
Play some Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers! Or NY Dolls!
I was going to but I worry about copyright on UA-cam these days!
Gorgeous
Cheers :)
Well done!
Thanks :)
That is a cracking guitar. Long Live the Shed!
Cheers buddy.
Excellent work sir.
Thank you :)
looks and sounds great!!
Cheers :)
That looks and sounds great. Probably my favourite of your builds even though it is so simple.
Cheers buddy, it's only been up and running a couple of days but it's already had a lot of playing. I like this one a lot!
This build has been Just Delightful to watch. Congratulations on a terrific build. Can't wait for the next one. This is simply one of the best channels to watch and learn from. (at least for me and my sordid attempts at building). Oh - and it sounds great and that's really the point!
Thanks very much, really happy that you enjoyed the build and channel so much :)
13:52 Hi there , say what speakers do you have in your Varshall (😉) ? Looking at those Metal dustcovers makes me curious! Great masterful work by the way ! One more Rock'nRoll icon added to this planet!
The speakers are the originals as far as I know, they just say "Made in England for Jim Marshall products" or something along those lines on the back. Haven't really been able to find out anything more about them.
Great job dude!
Cheers mate :)
That’s a wrap! Fine build! Hard to tell from the time lapse- did the fret press reduce your leveling efforts?
- Paul
Thanks Paul, yes, I had to do a lot less leveling on this one.
A+
Cheers, first time I got one of those :)
Loved this series, I’m gonna build a LP Special myself, because why not? You’re really inspiring ❤
That's great, good luck with the build :)
Looks and sounds great buddy.
I need to try a P90, it's on my never ending list lol
Regarding the intonation, you seem to just do the open string and the harmonic? Rather than the harmonic then press at the 12th to check it matches the harmonic?
Cheers
You need to put a P90 into something, they are brilliant (IMO).
When I first did the intonation I hadn't set the action so the fretted note would have pulled sharp, now it's all properly set up I have checked the fretted note as well as the harmonic.
Surely, to check the intonation you need to play the 12th fret harmonic and then compare it with the 12th fret fretted note? If you compare the open string with the 12th fret harmonic, it will always be "correct".
👍
Thanks
👍👍👍
Cheers :)
It sounds exactly as it should in my ears, and it's a sexy beast!
How much does it weigh all kitted out?
Cheers, it's a bit of a whopper, it's 9.5 pounds but I still love it :)
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams wow, that's a proper sonic cannon... :-) Great series, will be following your future work.
Rock 'N' Roll! Very nice guitar indeed... Howzabout a Firebird 1 (Junior ) or a three P90 pick up Non-Reverse Firebird ? Pete.
Cheers Pete, I do think my junior collection needs the adition of a Firebird, got a few builds to do first though :)
F**kin rock and roll.
:)
What a collection you must have now maybe you could do a video of it for us guitar porn lovers must be fab to have the skills to think I wonder what a thinline Tele sounds like in real life sod it I'll build one and see. I love my parts casters but going from a lump of timber to a complete instrument you sir are a class act ....next please 🎉( for Mrs She'd!) 👏👏👏👏! (I hope that's the applause emoji my cataracts aren't getting better lol!)
Cheers, I have a collection video on my to do list, just need some time to do it!
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams a few words Patrick zematis I dare you! Ooh that's more than a few 🤣🥸
Dont let Gibson know you are making better versions of their guitars. Lol jk. I got a tv yello wjunior single cut. Great guitars. I love p90's. Where do you find your templates?
Fane speakers?
I don't know to be honest, they just say "made in England for Jim Marshall Products Ltd." I think they are the originals.
The body looks too thick
The body is the 1.75 inch that a late 50s junior would have had.
