- This song holds a special part in my heart. My mom was born in 1979 and my dad says this song reminds him of her (she's still alive). I love both my parents and ever since that day, this song has lingered in my mind. I wondered if this song would be as beautiful if I slowed it down and of course it was. I hope you can enjoy this song in a comfortable zone. Maybe shed a few tears to it's melody. I hope you enjoy and as always all credit goes to it's respectful owners :)

If Billy Corgan were 28 now and wrote this song today, it'd be called 2003.
What u mean
@@AlexRodriguez-cg9wu billy corgan wrote this as a personal aproach of what youth meant to him, well over the edge of ending it. In 1979, billy corgan was 12 years old, an age visualized as the transition between childhood and adolescence. If corgan is 28 (29 or 30 today) he would have been 12 year old in 2003. Hope that helps.
@@blasfuentes dude's in his 50s now???? I almost fell from my chair from leaning too far back
Sure. It was a good year
This could cure depression
or cause it
Holds a special place in my heart too. Born in 82, but makes me feel nostalgic for a time I never experienced. A time before technology ruled our lives.
Xomo, while your side of the story is beautiful, there is another part to this song that most people tend to not pay much attention to. Loosing touch with the youth people have been with for a quarter of their lives. The writer was 28 at the time of the song's recording, and he was finally becoming old enough to not be considered a delinquent or some teen. He wanted to make a song that helped 18-30 year-olds cope with the transition into adulthood and the difficulties of life.
I had no idea, that's truly beautiful
As a teen who struggles with mental health and became mature too soon this song helps me with my anxiety and always made me feel safe
This is great , saw Billy at a concert once cool guy.
That's cool man. I never met him, but I bet he is great to see in person.
so this song, was introduced to me by my father who listened to them. amazing songs they had back in the day.
I feel nostalgic for the 90s and early 2000s, and I can resonate with this song even though it named 1979. This song ages like fine wine.
This song reminds me of fall. Ugh how I miss it.
*_slowed is perfection_*
