WALLEYE FISHING MINNESOTA RIVER 2023

In this video, my buddy Eli took me out to do some river fishing for walleye. Boy did it not disappoint! We managed to catch a few walleye and then really started to get on the crappies towards the end. Always a fun time catching fish, especially during this in between season. Ice fishing is almost here and I couldn’t be more excited to start making videos catching some BIG fish!
All we were using was a simple 3” bladed swim bait as well a VMC 1/8oz jig head with a Moxi plastic as the trailer

That stuff doesn’t work in the Minnesota river in southern Minnesota the water is way too dirty. Fishing extremely slow with a white twister tail sometimes works at the right time of year. Fish are lazy like crappie mouth in late January
