About Gaerea there’s not much to say This Guys are really good.. for sure one of the bests bands in Portugal and worldwide. I hope they take the next step with Season of ‘Mist. And conquer the world. I’m a hhuuugggeee fan of them really huge and the most incredible thing it’s that I’m not a fan of black metal. But Gaerea blow my mind up. Thanks for this amazing video brother 🖤

This sound so great! Production is amazing, the drums have depth. I have mixed feelings when it comes to Black Metal usually due to poor production, and mostly when the drums have no depth (and don't get me started on bass, usually it seems to be absent). I really love the subtle playfullness of the ride here. I feel atmospheric bands are bringing a lot of interesting stuff to the genre. The time signature shifts are so well done. Great track and great reaction as always!

As you know while I can enjoy black metal it's not one of my go-to genres, generally speaking. I think the reason is exactly what you described, the lack of an emotional connection to the music. Since I tend to be an emotional person being able to connect to music on that level is a big thing for me. I'm very happy to say that this track definitely does bridge the gap I feel with most black metal and I look forwards to the rest of the album.

I'm glad that black metal bands are choosing to go with decent production these days. It might be heretical to genre purists, but I don't like my metal sounding like it was mixed out of a trash can, rawness be damned.
I wasn't a fan of this for the first few minutes. Yeah, the production is great, the vocals are great, and the drummer has great variance to his playing, but initially there was still too much blasting going on. However, when some of the more melodic accents came in (especially after the song transitioned), I started to like it a lot. The track started taking on more of a post-black metal kind of feel. Very similar to Harakiri for the Sky, if you've ever heard of them.
The melodic accents, combined with the superb atmosphere that they built really sold the track for me.
If I can get off of my Immolation kick, I'll be sure to give them a spin.
