I really like how they stopped reusing the same guitar from canto 1 through 4 and actually started placing the leitmotif more subtly in the newer releases. It makes it so much better to find since it's always incorporated in a fitting way
I want to think it symbolises that the sinners are becoming more and more united day by day as the leitmotif is resonating right in their respective canto's theme
It's such a victory theme, and I think that's what PM made it to be. That's also why it's basically just Vergilius' theme, because the man never loses (I haven't read leviathan)
I think it's often in the part 2 versions of tracks because it's supposed to mimic the "Your theme plays when winning" idea; which was also used in the different emotion levels having different themes in Ruina. For limbus, the only real way to express it is "you beat the first half of the enemies, so wave 2 if the 'winning' theme"
The Sinners, blazing through the trail Vergilius has created for them, to chase the dreaded Erlking who is responsible for the gap between Heathcliff and Catherine's hearts.
I always love it when game osts have leitmotifs in them. It’s always such a cool thing to notice and really makes the game cohesive. It’s also part of why I love kirby music so much, along side it just being great music it always uses several leitmotifs some which appear across all kirby games and some which are for specific games
If you put Canto V Battle Theme F2 in 1.5 speed from 0:32 to 0:54 it kinda sounds like the Leitmotif but I don't know nearly enough about music so I might be wrong, same on Canto V Battle Theme C2 from 0:30 to 0:39
Could you tell me the part? I tried my best to include all the times the leitmotif appeared but it is likely I've missed a few. I've given it a listen and I am faintly seeing what you mean.
its around the 1 minute mark of his theme, not quite as direct of the others but the melody and rhythm seem reminiscent of it, which would make sense since we're fighting a parallel evil version of one of the sinners
Why exactly is thow called the levithan letimotif anyway? Nothing particulary points it to being symbolic of levithan or vergillius other than it featuring heavily in his theme, but it features heavily in most of limbus companies battle themes Also wow never even clocked the motif in time rippers theme
To me it's more of a theme for growth and understanding of one's EGO and their place in the world, sort of a theme for emotional development and change in our heros.
Well just like the guy before me said: it was introduced at leviathan comics trailer. Leviathan is story about Vergilius and his team uncovering the ring "corridor", But later in the end part of the story Vergilius see himself as a sinners and he chooses path fittings for himself when talking to Carmen. So he awakening his E.G.O So yeah you got point for know ing the meaning behind it. It about sinners choosing their path
There was a PV/Trailer for Leviathan featuring the music like months or a year before Limbus Company was released. The video is probably unlisted from the main channel because they decided to reuse the theme for Canto 6 (i think? But it could be that drama regarding leviathans art im not sure), making it an official OST for the game, yet, the motif and the song still originated there, hence the name
@@WymarSane I thought as such as well. I listened to the Canto II tracks the most and the leitmotif within them is quite difficult to catch. As such, I did not include them as I wasn't confident enough. I'll take a look once more, thank you.
Could you tell me the part? I tried my best to include all the times the leitmotif appeared. It is likely I've missed a few. If I ever make a part two, I could include it there.
I kinda find it interesting that canto II doesn’t have the motif, I wonder if that’s foreshadowing something Probably not, maybe they couldn’t fit the notes in but hey I like my Rodya theories
I'd like to know what is everyone's favorite EIM track and leitmotif variation. Please share your thoughts below.
Canto VII - Boss 4 is probably my favorite. That entire song hits so incredibly hard, and the leitmotif adds so much to it.
Probably Canto 4 C2 or whatever one is used for Wayward and Smee. Also love the battle theme for Warp Express.
Canto III Batle C2, christian rock goes hard
probably canto 6 third boss theme, the other dog
I really like the Canto V battle themes and boss themes as a whole, but the best leitmotif adaptation has to be Canto VI battle B2
I really like how they stopped reusing the same guitar from canto 1 through 4 and actually started placing the leitmotif more subtly in the newer releases. It makes it so much better to find since it's always incorporated in a fitting way
we all love guitar shred 🔥

People think this theme is vergilius'es but in actuality the theme was limbus company's all along 🔥🔥🔥
Vergillius has too much aura it overtook the theme's identity as its own
Just had to put the whole Leviathan theme in for the goat
the homeless addict*
It seriously has such a tickle to my ears whenever I recognize it in game. Such a defining moment for each song imo.
It amuses me that Danteh is trying to find out about my past...
Verily, such a perfect couple (im sorry mr red eye)
I always thought this is the theme that plays when you're winning
You're technically right because it is only in the player advantage tracks besides some boss battles
It's such a victory theme, and I think that's what PM made it to be.
That's also why it's basically just Vergilius' theme, because the man never loses (I haven't read leviathan)
Ah yes, LCB's very own "Theme of Eastern Story"
6:48 and 9:24 - hands down the coolest and most eerie versions of this leitmotif in my humble opinion
@@nicholasstraw9800 Indeed so. I mention it in the description.
the red gaze theme has always been my favorite, best ever tbh
I love Battle F (Right after The Red Gaze)
5:20
The Sinners, blazing through the trail Vergilius has created for them, to chase the dreaded Erlking who is responsible for the gap between Heathcliff and Catherine's hearts.
VII F2 Also references III A2 and C2. This is possible foreshadowing to Sinclair's big moment during the Sancho fight.

Whenever I hear these leitmotif it feels like it's conveying advantage or hope, like "hey, we have the advantage, time to win"
Thank you, Dante Limbus
The Guide shall always overview the battle
8:42 my favorite one, love all the brass in the background along with the motif
Can't beat the Red Gaze's theme itself, very nice video :)
All red colour fixers have their own sick guitar riffs 🎸🔥
Great video, always nice to see Studio EIM's work appreciated
My favorite for now is the one of Sancho's fight, probably because of the hard drop of tango/flamenco, or directly very spanish style on the theme
i never realised just how hard these themes went until I watched this video
I don't know why but this leitmotif and the library of ruina floor leitmotif sound soo similar
When I tried to recall the Reverberation Ensemble Argalia or Asiyah Boss Theme, this leitmotif intruded.
9:53
Sorry, just have to. It feels way too good to explain the feeling of being a "hero" of justice don quixote always wanted
Danteh we need to gather the golden sticks danteh
good work, manager. the ost enjoyers are pleased with this one
theme that plays when youre locked tf in
3:47 resonates with me on the Jose Pavli - Kings's frequencies
WHHeath is literally Crimson 1
Thank you Dante Limbus from Limbus Company Bus
Love me some leitmotifs
I absolutely adore this Leitmotif being in the theme fighting against Sancho
I has been searching for this..
you are the goat🐐🐐
You are, too, dear sir.
Awesome stuff, I was always hoping for a video doing this and even considered making it myself if no one else would

@@danteh10 I've given both a listen a few times at 1.5x speed but I couldn't quite catch it. I'll take a deeper look later, thank you.
I think the bloodfiend trio fight theme has the leitmotif too
It has the Rasputin leitmotif
Could you tell me the part? I tried my best to include all the times the leitmotif appeared but it is likely I've missed a few.
at 1:36 - 2:16, not sure if this is counted but it sounded like a slowed version of the leitmotif

such a cool video, thank you sm!

Nice compilation, I also noticed Canto's III B2 holds part of it with the voice at the start

Because the theme that originally has that leitmotif is called Leviathan. Also the first ever Limbus OST, as far as I know

You should also look out for the opening part of Leviathan. You can find it in Canto 2 A2, and if you squint hard enough in Canto 2 C2.

Red Gaze having like 20 different songs associated with him vs Kali having 5
it might be just me but the leviathan theme reminds me of the reverb ensemble
Is this same leitmotif present in the music of "Heahthcliff's?" after he took off the mask, although it was a little distorted.

This is like, the winning theme, and that's absolutely not the character development for our queen rodya in her own canto so maybe that's why
Undertale fans when they're also a project moon fan:
I never knew the battle music changed when you're winning a fight. That's awesome as hell
I'm gonna be honest. I didn't realise each canto had its own battle music.
I bet you didn't even realize the game had voice acting
@skully1550 it's actually quite subtle but yeah, it's ingame at times
i bet you didn't realize the game has text wait...
We Limbus players don't know how to read
