That was the best analysis of the new update. Tried to read and understand the endless catalogue of REIZA but your work here is absolutely time saver! Just gained a new subscriber mate
I like the video and the overview. The idea is fantastic. I would like to point out some inaccuracies, though: - The Historical Track Pack Pt2 DLC includes only the new tracks. The cars are in the Formula HiTech DLC pack. - From and around this era the period F1 tracks in AMS2 before the latest DLC are: Adelaide 1988, Estoril(Cascais) 1988, Hockenheim 1988, Imola 1988, Jacaperagua 1988, Jerez 1988, Montreal 1988, Monza 1991, Silverstone 1991, Spa 1993. For some reason the video lists just 6. - The major difference between the 1991 and 1993 Interlagos is not the trackside objects, but the kerbs. - Also, its Corvette Z06, not 206 and Camaro, not Camero.
Thank you so much for this great video. It's always hard to find what's new in a game after a huge update but you have so well described every aspect of this new update. Now I know what is new. And your video is so well done, you have a great knowledge of F1 cars. Thanks again sir.
Mate, i mentioned and linked your video in my video because i think it's really great. 🤩🤩🤩 The depth of information is fantastic! That was certainly a lot of effort for this video i think. Great work! Of course i left a sub and like there....
I'm late to the party having just purchased the game not all that long ago. Still waiting for my sim chassis to arrive so I can set up my simagic alpha u. I have been messing around with the xbox controller and just can't wait for purolator to show up with my stuff. This game looks great.
AMS2 is superb for anyone getting into sim racing. If you want to race with other people follow MetzVR and TheSimRacersArms on UA-cam. Both have discord channels.
@@codeREDsim absolutely. Actually follow MetzVR and he helped me set up my Moza R12 for some proper feedback on forza. I play pretty much everything except iracing at the moment. I have an ASR6 chassis on the way so I kinda don't wanna buy more games or subscriptions until i can play. most of my time gets spread out between AC-ACC-and forza motorsport. before those who trash forza, it's the reason I'm into sim racing and it's just we have 6 colleagues at work that race private matches on forza. being more accessible between xbox and pc its easier to get togther and play. had a guy talk my ear off for an hour how good iracing is at a xmas supper, probably gonna be there eventually lol.

Why did you destroy my profile picture from the fourm? lol Poor Star looks so odd at like 120p if that! Love the video though, very detailed, and great for newcomers!
Thanks for the comment, I hope everyone gets enough info to understand the upgrades to the sim. Sorry dude about the pic, I didn't want to share people's profiles on the private forum just in case they want to keep their data private.
You need to switch random failures on and/or full damage. There is also a scheduled safety car option which is great to bunch the field up on longer races.
Hi mate, I have been so busy with work. It’s been crazy. AUS, NZ, JP, then China, Taiwan. Been on rF2 in between. Will try and get on with Metz this week.
And as I’ve said after the last 10 updates, everything is amazing the best thing ever! 2 weeks later it’s GT3 at so or monza! It’s online that reiza should be pushing to improve. On any given day there’s 2 or 3 lobbies with between 5-15 drivers and the rest of the lobbies are populated with 1,2 or 3 people, many of which are the same track/car combos. I still love this sim so I’m not hating on it,I’m pointing out the blatant holes in it.
The big issue atm is the multiplayer and they did say this will take longer. This is happening in the background but they are committed to updating the legacy issues with grid sizes and general bugs.
@@sevenbelow7 yes fair point but I think it is not just a programming issue but an infrastructure issue. That will take longer to fix. Once it is fixed, I hope the launch will be as successful as what I have experienced in rF2 online.
@@codeREDsim Only time will tell I suppose? As for rfactor2,I have to say that’s where it’s at right now. I always had a problem getting set up (in vr),but persisted this time and what a great experience ! I think the ffb really makes ams2 ,actually all other sims feel somewhat weak or un-realistic? It also needs more done to make it better but it’s my go to daily driver at the moment.
Don't forget, the boss of Rieza has been clear the mission of AMS2 was to be the best single player sim... which they are doing quite well I would say. Online would be nice, but yes it's an engine problem. However, it isn't their first priority as its not what AMS2 is for by design For me personally, there is so much else to race online I'm really happy someone is catering for the pick up and play, quick bit of fun market too
Thanks for watching. I referenced my previous video in this video that also had updates that were included in this. Go to beta 1.5.1 (which ended up in this release) and there is a detailed update on the track state over 7 laps.
As CaptainAustria said. Although nothing like iRacing there is always one or two open lobbies. Also check out MetzVR on UA-cam as he runs weekly online races.
There will always be devise views especially when people live in echo chambers (some of the users still think it is the same sim from 2 years ago) but there are lots of balanced views and reviews out there from more recent reviews. I think more people will accept the quality of some of the improvements that have been implemented on this update, and that will only get stronger as Reiza continues to develop and update.
We need new adjustment-settings for contrast/black-point for graphics, the whole game looks sooo flat and less contrasty, specially in VR. everything looks like grey washed out mess. We only need to make better contrast or deepen the blacks. PLEASE!!!!
I'm kinda sad. It's a game from my country, i really wanted to support it but... Every time it's the 'biggest update ever', ' a game changer', 'huge improvements'. But ends up still feels like a Pcars 2.5 and worse than AMS 1, driving-wise. i'll try for myself when it's out, but i don't have very high hopes, unfortunately
I started on PC2. Honestly, this is night and day in comparison. AMS2 well exceeds AMS1 now. Check out Gamer Muscle’s latest live review. He was pretty impressed and said it felt better than ACC.
Not sure why the feedback says the TC and ABS in GT3 is great. It is completely wrong, staying illuminated constantly instead of in burst of the tires grip. Just watch any GT3 onboard, drive a real car or play any simulator. TC and ABS in AMS2 work like they do in Gran Turismo and are terribly simplified.
Everyone has there opinion. Gamer Muscle said the AMS2 physics was better than ACC. He also said this was light year ahead of Gran Turismo with the new physics.
Change your settings,.Gamer Muscle did a live stream last night and said during the 4+ hours that he rated it above ACC now. His opinion and his settings but worth checking out.
Try reducing the engine braking, do this by increasing the number in the advanced car setup screen. This makes a huge difference to all cars as it can stop the over rotation often seen with the stock setups on the GT3 cars. Change this setting before making any other adjustments.
There is a patch coming this week. I didn't have an issue in Beta with 2022 though. Please also note you need to delete any previous setups. That may very likely be totally wrong for the updated physics.

Is this a seperate purchase from the season pass?
This is available this weekend to play for free (Steam should auto download) but will end up as a separate purchase.
The update is free. But the new track pack is $7.99 and the new Formula Hi-Tech cars are $6.99.
I'm not able to reproducende dust effect of the track?
It happens with certain settings of the track only??
On formula Reiza 2022?
