- For the first time in my Risk career, I had a game against an actual cheater! Not just your typical collaborator, but a player who hacked troops into the game for themselves! This game was wild, I hope you all enjoy! Thanks for watching!

Hey man, black here. Gg, what a scuffed game! I was running my original cap v light the entire time, most of my troops went when you saw white attack but not gain a card on his original cap. Not enough troops to hit through white at the end (no set on 4). Well played, hopefully we get a proper game some time
GGs! Unfortunate that the cheater seemed to inconvenience you a bit more than myself. I agree hope we meet again in a game!
You handled that better than me mate, I would have been fuming to come across that. Fair play for sticking in there and getting a result.

P.S.: the fact that people can spawn in troops with cheats tells a lot about how incompetent is SMG's networking 🥴
For what it's worth, they're currently actively at work trying to fix the networking stuff.

I was ecstatic when the hacker got banned mid game. Hilarious video.
He was not banned, he quit.
As Avish said, I believe he quit. Not really sure why? Maybe he thought he wouldn't be banned if he left and only affected the outcome. I've yet to see the punishment message in my Risk client for him, and this was recorded a week ago.
@@C_money I presume the guy threw in the towel, but wanted to set up a block on everybody by blocking off all of the center ring with giant stacks just for the sake of everyone else's suffering(If they'd done it slightly differently you could be there for hours simply waiting to have enough troops to roll through a single stack).
How fitting that Max Security has a 1300-troop guard.
White was such a tool. I think that he just quit though instead of being banned at the time of filming. Here's to getting a good video out of a crummy map!
I honestly find it hilarious that he played the first 30 minutes completely normally but had the hacking in his back pocket in case he got in a bad spot.
@@C_money Surely the guy cheated in a few troops before they slammed that cap and lost the 39 stack? It need not be much, but I'm pretty sure they've got way too many troops on cap there than they ought to.
@@geode_V It did seem like they had too many troops after losing a whole 39 stack.
Seeing the video title and thumbnail, I was adding up all the troops white received through the video, and at 16:26 they had too many remaining, given what we had seen them lose and that they must have had at least one troop on each territory behind that cap since they had the bonus. When you consider that they must surely have lost more troops that we didn't see, I'm certain they had cheated in some smaller, less obvious, numbers of troops earlier in the game, before the very obvious 2000 stack.

That is the second cheater i have seen in game, i cant confirm that the other guy cheated but im fairly sure of it, he just never lost any significant troops no matter what he attacked, but i cant be sure he cheated he might just have been crazy lucky that game.

I knew it wasn't my imagination that people are cheating in this game. I haven't seen anything quite as blatant as THAT but I KNEW numbers weren't adding up in some of these games.
Idk Gavin I think getting 2000 troops on one turn 30 minutes in is totally legit.

Video proof of a cheater. No getting around that if the devs or mods watch this.
There are several videos of cheaters out there, Pete had a game without fog where a player gets a small number of troops every turn extra around 2 months ago.
To my knowlege the problem are that Risk matches dont play on servers but are client based with a host, meaning the complete game have to be recoded too solve this.
The problem is, there's no way to report outside of the game. I gave game ID and everything in a support ticket one time for heavy collaborators and I was told to use the in-game feature.
@@C_money If you encounter something like this again in the future, maybe mention in the report message that you'll post the video to UA-cam, and your channel name.
I've seen other UA-camr's do that when reporting cheaters, only for very blatant ones like this though.
Then if they need any more evidence, they can come and find the video to see it for themselves.
Had someone do this to me. I was snowballing early and had just taken an amazing position and ended a players game. Was on my way to an easy and fast win. All of a sudden he pops up with 50 troops when he should have gotten 3 and killed me in one turn. It was so obvious I'm sure other players must have seen it and reported it as well. I always wonder what is the point of playing if you are going to cheat? What do you get out of it? Doesn't make them feel good or accomplished does it?
Sad people cheat, I suppose. Either that or people who can't deal with losing. Regardless of which, pretty pathetic.
I don't think I would ever want to play on this map but it was interesting to watch others playing on it until the white player did what they did. Just wondering, will you by chance be doing late night streaming tonight (tuesday)? Please don't feel obligated I'm just wondering if you're planning on it?
I may be able to stream tonight! If not tonight, then probably tomorrow. I'll try to get a schedule on it a bit later in the day if I'm going to.

Cheating is pretty lame and low. Glad you kept your sense of humour. GG, you had to win twice! Does the game count for ranking or is it void?
I believe it still counts, I'm not sure SMG does any sort of rating adjustment after the fact but I haven't seen a ban message come through for him either.
Plus 2000 man that's blatantly cheating so lame that's the 2nd 1 I've seen kilted had a vid with 1 a couple of weeks ago also.
I saw a Pete Map Master Monday video a while back where he was going to win and then his opponent just dropped 1k troops and Pete noped it out of there.

All the risk calculations happen locally and hence people are able to easily cheat. Dev's are working on a new version that moves these things server side to prevent cheating.
SMG is working on a network update that should address this form of cheating. The possible collaborative cheating may still exist, but it shouldn't be so easy to hack the game anymore.
@@C_money That's true you can't really fix Collaborative cheating. It's very hard to prove with confidence if the cheaters use VPN's or different networks.

I might not have noticed without the video title but I'm pretty sure he spawned troops in after he sued purple in the early game. He should've had similar troops to the rest of you before attacking the cap, lost the 40 but then still had his Capitol defended when you went to look.
A lot of people saying that and I have to agree. I’d have to go and see how many he got each turn but it doesn’t make much sense otherwise.
@@C_money I haven’t been exposed to this in one of my games personally yet, but I’m under the impression that the troops can only be added in the placement phase of the turn, not afterwards. Maybe this is just ignorance on my part, it’d be interesting to know a bit more on it.
