Was there Sunday morning got 3 keeper flounders 1 sheep head and hooked on to a spider crab witch was pretty cool and got snagged 3 times 🫠🤣 but good spot and time and a plus is play ground behind for the kids
Congrats!!! You got the sheepshead we were looking for! The kids are dying to try out the new playground. They start school in a few weeks so timenis running out for us.
All I know is if I ever pull up to go fishing and see you guys fishing just to keep going, I don't want to get shown up by William. 🤣😂Great catch William that fish was awesome! Thanks for taking us along see you guys' next video.
HAHA thanks Chris! I knew it was a big fish when he said he said "Fish on" and I told him to pull it up and he said "I can't." You know its going to be a good one!!
The trigger fish was awesome!! We fish every year with Lucky Break Charters. One time, we hit triggers at the inlet. They are delicious. You get nice white filets and even cheek meat. They are great tasting. It's almost sweet, like fresh water crappie. Great video!!
Thank you! He wanted to keep it, but my cooler didn't have enough space. Oh well, we'll catch another one! I've heard they are great tasting! Lucky Break is a darn good charter, I see him all the time catching fish.
Take some squid and big minnows and fish under the pirate ship at night. We caught big croakers on squid and nice rock fish on the minnows a couple years ago. It was loads of fun.September 11 can’t get here fast enough lol
Nice JayB, we were there Saturday in the evening, we even took a tour of the ship, we're definitely going to fish there in September when we come down there next, we even went to Tugos pizza, we would give it a 4, so maybe we'll see you then, be safe
Jay is there anything I can do with the stuff in my canal here in OP? I’m gonna get a cast net and I can scrape the bollards for blue crabs but are they even good bait?
The canals hold lots of coaker and small spot. You can throw a cast net and use the spot for bait. Although I heard someone recently caught a grouper in their canal in OP!
Wow William flipped that big Trigger right over the rail like a Champ!!! Congrats little man!!!
He worked his butt off for that one! I saw that rod tip bent over and knew it was big!
Good job William and jay. Glad you guys caught some fish . Nice trigger fish. Great video as always
Thanks Ken!
great catch william!
Aww nice to see you all having fun fishing, have a great day 😀👍
Thank you! He was super pumped for sure, that was a heck of a fish!
Way to go William. That’s a nice catch. 🐠
Heard triggerfish are good eating.
We were going to keep it, but I didn't have a cooler with me. I haven't had it, but I heard it's awesome.

Nice video of the day keep up with the great work
Not to bad. You guys landed a few. I've had many worse days.
It's was VERY hit or miss. The bite would come in and then suddenly stop. Then 20 minutes later it would come back. Strange day for sure.
Total stud of a trigger man. I usually pitchfork the sand for fiddlers... tough to sneak up on.
Thanks! A pitchfork works great, we used a shovel, I dig and he would grab them. Super easy as a 2 man team!
you guys should go over to the jetti some time and try get some sheepshead super tasty. nice trigger fish though!
We'll give it a shot. It's hard for him because he snags a lot and I spend a lot of time retying rigs.
@@ReelJayB try with bottom sweeper jigs since there weighted at the hook with the hook up it shouldnt snag the rocks.
watched a guy at 29th surf fishing. Watched him catch skate after skate. It was obvious they were waiting for their next meal cast after cast
Awwww man that is the WORST! I feel for him 😂

It's a great tautog spot, I'm sure you'll catch a few as the water Temps cool. How was the tour of thr ship? Glad you enjoyed Tugos!
why a 4??---do tell plz
I heard the Nao Trinidad is leaving OC soon? Coming down in 3 weeks do you know of the date it is leaving?
I think they are scheduled to leave either Sept 2nd or 3rd. The last tour they are doing is Sept 1st.
That being said I’m here in Mexico and I caught a sand bass on a trout magnet from Walmart can you believe it
Haha that is awesome!!
