Making a unique front suspension tilting tricycle

- Going so far i'm introducing my new front suspension tilting design built to attach on a bicycle frame.
The benefits of that system is that you can carry a big basket between the front 2 wheels, as big as is the space there, because of the parallel moving of both wheels compared with the steering system.
Also the front suspension giving a smooth scrolling above the road bumping transferring the bounce from one wheel both to suspension and the other wheel - not to the frame.
Farthermore, despite the fact that the wheels have a soft feeling of damping individually, when they are overloaded at the same time, suspension hardens exponentially to withstand the pressure it receives.
Those "tilting designs" usually fail to keep the center of gravity low when cornering produsing the oposite phenomenon to their vehicles that attached. Having big wheel diameter, making that worse, because the user have to fight with the center of gravity when cornering. To solve that parammeter i choose a the very low front arm joints geometry relative to the hubs of the front wheels.
Disadvantages of my design is front braking. Because of the fact i have independent front wheels, braking is determined by road traction of each wheel. When one of them slips, the other push the front system to turn at one direction. I'm working to find a solution to this problem by putting a steering damper to my front system to decrease tha fact..

Hi ! Could I put fat tires on it for example and could it handle a 30kg weight ? Thanks
А чем обычный волосапед не устраивает ? ))
How do I order one of these? When I click on link it goes blank? Pleases advise.
How many euros? If you sell it, i buy it!
That's the best design that I've seen so far. Wish I had one.
Um dos melhores designer de suspensão independente que já vai , ficou ótimo
Great bike, would work great for the upcoming winter riding season
An e-bike in this configuration would be awesome!
The extra speed and weight may make it a little dangerous. It has a wide turning radius and the suspension may be a problem. But hay if I had one I'd throw a 1500w rear direct drive on it and a class 1 controller on it.
where is the " making " part
Great looks of this old technology. Congratulations.
Wow! Been thinking of something a bit like this for a while - but this is on another level.... Bravo!
Amazing. I'm from Philippines. Thanks for sharing
misleading title, should not be making but showing us a tilting tricycle
Can we buy this bike somewhere in canada
He sales the blueprint to make it ;)
Best concept lean-steer to a standard bike I've seen. Great engineering, hope it goes to production.
NOT a concept. Mother Earth News did this almost 30 years ago.. look it up.
@@demandred1957 Please provide links or description, i would be very grateful for this info.
Excelent! Perfect! But ¿what's happen with the rear suspencion for back wheel?
Wow, thats amazing, i need one like that
Thanks for sharing your videos, I am building and design my project, unfortunately, I do not have any workshop and or any special tools. All parts built is bit by bit, part by part. I still working on it for better design on the suspension parts. Hope to complete it !
I like the simplicity of this design awesome
except the wheels need to turn at the hubs, like a car. In this design, the entire suspension turns and that takes up lots of space.
Cool idea, this is something that I would have when I am a lot older, and also this tilting front duel wheels is a really good idea as you do not have to worry about the push that you can get with a standard duel rear wheel trike setup.
A really cool idea.
WOW! I love it. Very Cool! Thank you.
O Men! It's awesome
It's my dream proto cycle.
You are Great 👍👍👍👍
Very cool and well executed.
I’m interested to see how you distribute any load carried in front and if you need to extend the wheel base (front to back) to keep the rear grounded.
This setup look like any excessive load in the front would resuslt in a loss of traction in the rear, so extending the lentgh of the bike seem to be a prerequisite. Your worry are real.
Porsche decided to place carrera's engine outside wheelbase at the rear of the car. They took this decision thinking of a car like more than an engine and four wheels. Passengers, bodywork and driving situations also affects to the traction behavior of the vehicle, especially at my design, carrying the weight of a human at the front, i think is possible, by the time a driver sitting at his possition. It would be a problem if I had no suspension on the front. In accidental breaking, the rear wheel would lose the ground if it was a little weight in front!
Now this is something I need when I go out to avoid commuting
That thing is so cool! I would love the try that bike out. Also it would be really cool to see it with 2 wheels in the back. I don’t even want to think about what pulling a wheelie feels like. Oh wait, actually I do.
you are very human sourcer in sharing your design
beautiful simplicity
This would be great for a streamlined tilting recumbent.
Exactly! This is my project for a tilting velomobile: ua-cam.com/video/uL7F5d7v-SI/v-deo.html
I don't understand why we don't see recumbent trikes with such technology being sold. There's gotta be a catch!

I suspect it’s because of a few things, cost, weight, complexity and size.
These things are imo extremely overpriced in their standard, non suspension form. All the extra mechanical components are just gonna add to that. If the wheels are inboard they or the tilting mechanism needs to move, this movement takes up space meaning the body needs to be bigger to accommodate it and therefore less aerodynamic and also heavier.
@@thechumpsbeendumped.7797 Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
@@thechumpsbeendumped.7797 "These things are imo extremely overpriced in their standard, non suspension form." - I couldn't agree more!
Wow bro you've got a three tires jewell thanks for this delicious video I watched it twice
Hi, very cool looking trike. Does the bike part become less stable because the front wheel is no longer directly attached to the forks?
And how do you lock out the tilting when you park it?
És o Rei da suspensão para triciclo vou tentar fazer uma cópia kkkk + 1 vez parabéns 👏
Ay that's awesome . Shout out from El Salvador

I'm going to try to make this with my everlast welder. I like the stability combined with the maneuverability.
Flipant, (awesome) I love your work
Wow. Just Awesome. Thumbs Up !
Cara vc é um gênio parabéns pela tua invenção 👏
Este cara er fera
Use motor at rear hub to assist pedaling !😊👌 Awesome work!
Did everyone read "making"?
Or just me?
Title should be "riding".
1 dislike for clickbait.
lol. congrats! you get 1000 points for entitlement. Is it really too much for you to just click on some points in the vid and then go somewhere else, if it wasn't what you searched for?
Exactly Bright sick of the false labelling on here , lifes to short to waste watching this crap
Nice bike 👌💪 wish I had one
As a road bike for a single person I would say it is a roadhog. But as a bike to carry cargo or a person, great idea!
Roadhog as in compared to 4-wheel Godzillas? (cycling champion POV)
They are roadhogs too.
Parabéns genial o projeto
Here you get something creative and wonderful, free, costing only your time and attention, and still some people whine?
Very nice work, idea and setup. The only big problem here will be to drive with the system loaded, it will make you have arms like Arnold... 😅 Therefor the traditional steering system exists; to make the wheels change directions and not the whole load. I personally will put the damper inside the lower arm, that way, it won't change it's geometry everytime you tilt. Good Job!
i really loved your design bro, after I saw it, now i am desperate to do in my bike too.
That

this is something else my friend welll done!
Ωραιος ρε φιλαράκι,μπράβο!
Parabéns 👏 pelo projeto 👏 muito bom mesmo 👏 um abraço
Well done. Good job
Now I just need a front basket for shopping items
I don't see the bike tilting, but the earth is.
6-12-2019.Did you read my mind?Is that SS tubing and why don,t you have a plate at the botten of the forks?
Works the way it is supposed to. Just Good
Nice design! what front hubs/axles did you used?
Beautiful machine
Awesome! This has so many applications. Would love something like this on a 30mph e-bike. Would also like a conversion kit that could be used on any bike. Let me know when I can buy one!
You can buy one now. See the pinned comment.
Make a 1000w electric one with rear Suspension also
Excellent brother
Nice! Greetings from Brasil
Very nice video. Which program has been used to create the animations?
Огонь!!! Если бы немного чертежей, то можно собирать такой в гараже!
Is there any counter-steering involved when steering at speed?
This isn’t the first of these made, but it is nice. If you have the steering angle and caster correct you can really shred down hill.
Wow! Wish I had one
Very nice idea.
Simple and smart idea. . .
It is a very cool design, i can only imagine how low it tilts. How did you visualize you idea. What software did you use?
Awesome design. Very well engineering. 👏👍
My father had an accident so now I have a tricycle to take “walks” with him and this would be perfect to add to it.
Please tell me what I need to do for you to send me the blueprints or the cad Project of this?
que triciclo tan bueno!!!
Camera work is 👍
would you mind sharing the capacity of that shock absorber that you used?
Hola. gran diseño. Cuanto cuestan y donde se orden los diseños
Nice work continue 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Very interesting, i love it.. btw what your backsound this video?
Wow is this open source design or copyright protected? I would like to use this design for my next year personal project. Buiding my own trike.
Copyright concern the exact blueprint, not the idea.
I get it that is easier to transform the front instead of the back because of the need of a lot more work but wouldn't it be more usefull ? Like being able to carry more, what is the best pro for a double front wheel setup compared to the opposite ?
Also what would be the difference in rolling resistance in both setup ?
Nice soft squishy ride if a rear swing arm were to be installed
Amazing build! Would you mind sharing what your spring rate was for the spring used in your shock?
All the convenience of a bike with the width and complexity of a car.How do you get it thru a gate or doorway?
Muito bom, bom para ir so trabalho.
Wonder if it would work on the front of a cargo bike, like the Bullitt?
Love the design though.
I bet you is not that heav

Great design mate. I'd love to build one for an electric trike i'm toying with. Are there any plans available for the steering?
Plans in rhino comes with a price ;)
Let me know if you are interested.
Thank you!
How much for the plans for this front end design? Thanks Great Work!

Very cool. Not sure how you actually “make” this, but cool, nonetheless.
Now...doesn’t this defeat the purpose of a three-wheel (which is stability?)
@Buckarooskiczek Productions - Depends which way you're looking! from a bike viewpoint, a trike adds some stability with another wheel . . . from a car (or pram, or tuck) viewpoint it is usually less stable. The benefit is that the leaning trike can corner like a bike (potentially fast) without being wide. And with some ingenuity, it will stand upright if you get off and walk away too. Tall bikes/trikes are better in towns too - better visibility and a better view too.
Thanks
is there anything holding this bike upright when it stands still. Or would it fall sideways like a normal bike?
Hola, tengo esclerosis y me gustaría convertir mi bicicleta en un triciclo por la estabilidad y me encanta esta propuesta que presentas me podías indicar como o donde hacerlo? Muchas gracias.
Would like to see this on a recumbent trike, that would be my preference
Very cool!
It looks like each front wheel is connected to a hub, and the hub is connected to the frame by upper and lower controller arms. The single shock is connected to the top of both hubs and placed above the upper controller arms.
could you not connect the shock to the bottom of each hub, and place the shock between the upper and lower controller arms? I think it would work, and compact the design.
Nice tricycle
So where can I get one or the details to make it from ?
sir I hope you could share how you build this thing from zero to complete
Yassas! This is really amazing! I would love to incorporate this on a fuel efficiency 30cc recumbent bicycle build I am working on. Do you do custom work? I live in Greece as well.
Im doing only custom work :)
@@WhyNotCycles Cheers, expect an email when the time comes :)
Good Lord with a Galea helmet and a Gladius in a scabbard riding this one almost feels like a Roman legionary! I jest but great design - maybe a wee bit narrower to be more nimble in cycling paths/urban environments?
So.... How do we get the plans for what you got so far? I don't want to wait until you perfect it. I want to build one now and see what developes!
Οκ Charley! if you are interested give me your e-mail to sent you the paypal request. (blueprints in rhino costs 33 euro vat & fees included)
After complete the payment i ll sent you the files!
Güzel çalışma 👍👏👏👏
Excuse me,
When the first two wheel positions are on the ground at different heights, the shock absorber can still maintain stability when tilted a few degrees.
Este trabalho e classe â

Everything is awesome! One question - For what?)))
Higher stability compared to bikes and trikes.
Круто и в пробке проехать в междурядье можно, и на покрышках съэкономить!
Where do you get the front hubs, brakes and wheels? I have an old adult size trike I’d like to convert to 4 wheels.
Wish I could have one bro!!!! Wow
How to make by self at home
Can you send step by step procedure and items/ parts required for it.
Great job 👌 you have done.
Add a cable operated locking device on the suspension to keep the bike upright during standstill. See other video's on the tube. Parts of a discbrake are used for that.
Good thinking.
