Worked on my 2013 Toyota Venza! Dealership hasn't been able to figure it out for years. They wanted me to pay an arm and a leg to really get into the seats for them to try and find the issue. This video saved me time & money! 🎉🙌
Yep, that what they do same for charging you a kidney just for plugging your car to a scanner. I bought a code scanner on Amazon and check UA-cam for installations and stuff.
Dude you totally help me out! I was checking the fuses and other stuff. I un-plugged it and plugged it in a few seconds later. That solved the problem! Thanks man!!
Guys if you are going to do this, Disconnect your battery and wait for 5 min . Otherwise if theres some current in wires, the Air bag can Go off, when u move the cable .
Thank you sir. I found the connection under the driver seat and just jiggled it a bit and made sure it was not lose and it worked. didn't have to even remove it.
But, I'd like that blinking light when I take out the key to stop blinking, is their a button or switch on steering column, called a check lite. To use if I want to just check it to see if it's working or not. Not by putting key ingition to stop it. I want it to stop when all lies in car off
@@DanielFrost21 I might have to take it in - after noticing someone screwed around with the airbag itself, I'll try a junkyard replacement, if it's under $20. Should be, my winter beater is 16 years old. If it pisses me off enough, out comes the bulb ;P
On most OBD2 vehicles, doing this will not work. What he did was fix a bad connection, nothing more. IN most cases you need to read the codes and determine the issue first. But hey, feel free.
Sure has worked for a lot of vehicles according to the comments. And virtually every vehicle on the road today is on OBD2 vehicle. Looks like you're incorrect.
This guy is 100% right. This is not how you do ANYTHING except fix a bad connection. This is not a reset. For example, a reset requires a scan tool or a paper clip in the obd pin hole 4 and 13.
@@JonEhBee I agree. My SRS warning light is on, so I tried this 'fix'. It didn't work, and I didn't expect it to work either. It's kind of suspicious that he doesn't show whether it worked on the car in the video, isn't it? I know he says it doesn't work every time as a disclaimer, but if I were making this video, I'd show one of the times where it did work as proof that it works at least sometimes. If this fix works for you, then it's because the connection was loose in the first place. All you're doing is re-seating a loose connection. It's not in any way a "reset" of the airbag system.
I have done everything nothing takes care of the problem or the issue because is not doing anything to harm me anyway the only thing I can think k is if the thing deployed with out warning and squash me over some how that it brakes my nebut other than that nothing
