Bro it actually TOTALLY DOES. I'm a karate instructor, and I've successfully landed a lot of Jin's movements many times. I've even knocked a few people with his Evil Intent move.

i always love how tekken recreates pretty accurately a lot of martial arts. im an ITF taekwondo student and while hwoarang is not my main (kazuya all the way), i love how taekwondo is recreated in game, using both kicks and hand techniques as the traditional art is (olympic tkd is WT and focus only on kicks, which gave a mistaken impression about the martial art, so a lot of people think is only about kicks, while you have them, but also have hand techniques, elbows, knees, grabs, submissions, personal defense, etc.)
by the way, taekwondo has its roots in karate but with different principles.
Imagine getting in a fight and the other person just starts wavedashing towards you at Mach speed

I had some experience with Motion Capture for video games and gotta admit even though Namco has always created a seriously fluid and accurate movement animations and overall choreography for Tekkens in the past, (I think they were using MoCap before it was industry standard) They outdid themselves this time. Ps. You almost saw me as Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)

TEKKEN 6 and TEKKEN TAG 2 even though I have no access to those two games and have never played them but I like the freedom of customization in those games that are not in TEKKEN 7 and 8. I mean you could change each more specific piece of clothing, including hair sides and gloves

As some with a martial arts background on TKD. I can do most of his moves in real life but it takes a lot of practice doind for example his halberd where he got it from baek.
Ever since I started playing tekken 4 hwoarang was my favorite character and I day after day I would try and recreate his moves. I’m now 18 years old and still trying to recreate his toughest moves like hunting hawk and sky rocket.

martial arts in general. i practice itf taekwondo and while hwoarang is not my main, i love how well recreated the art is (but i would love much more hand techniques since taekwondo uses both hand techniques and kicks)

I'm not sure they exactly got the moves that were being tried here, Ty's move was a completely different Jin move, his punch kick barrage (I forget the exact notation, I've not filthied my hands with Jin). Gosain as well that didn't look like Laws 11 2 2, maybe the move just doesn't translate well IRL?
