Well the trip to Cornwall has technically come to an end, so over the next couple of weeks I'll be sharing some of the great adventures that I was able to enjoy down on the South West Coast - Is there any one else out there who has unorthodox hidden gems, favourite spots that they enjoy visiting when heading to other regions... Especially areas that others wouldnt necessarily think of?
I hope you enjoyed this video, and found it interesting!!

Some nice shots, Neil. I'm looking forward to the next ones. My missus lived in Perranporth (briefly) and my family used to holiday there when I was a kid. I must get down there as and when the opportunity arises.

Thanks Paul - Had a great time down there as always... Just got the joy of editing a lot of Images lol! - My next two videos aren't far from Perranporth actually, one (mostly) from Holywell Bay and the other around St. Agnes Head

Great video and images from your first day. That was an epic drive down to Cornwall, we spent many happy holidays in a tent, I remember having a marathon drive to the lake district in a metro towing a trailer loaded with camping equipment. We switched from a tent to a caravan many many years ago, can't beat the comfort of the caravan, we do miss the ease of camping trips compared to dragging a 30 foot 1.5 ton caravan around the countryside. Take a look at our holiday vlogs. Looking forward to the next installment. If you ever get near Weymouth Bennets world of water is the place to visit for lilies.

Yeah definitely clocked up the mileage getting down there lol!... I've always been a bit worried about towing a Caravan myself, think the best alternate option for me away from a tent, is a campervan - Maybe one day though!! - Thanks for the Weymouth tip, will definitely take a look at your holiday vlogs 👍👍

Hi Neil, I love Cornwall and need to get down there again this year, before this year ends 🤣 you managed some great shots in the nature reserve mate and I'll be looking forward to what is coming up next. Take care, Steve.

@@SteveMorris1964 Yeah there aren't many spots on the Coast that are better than Cornwall - I might try to get down again before the end of the year myself... I'll have to see... Definitely pleased with some of the shots I've got edited ahead of the next video 👍👍

Great video Neil. Loved the Lilly pad shots, really nice. Can’t believe you drove through Keith Guppy territory and didn’t stop to say hello. I’m curious to know, do you find this end of the country any different to photograph to where you usually photograph.

I should have done on the way home mate... Took me forever to get back to Kent!! - The A303 is hell
Erm - Really good question... Its easy in the sense that I can jump on Instagram see locations, and see what shots have worked in the past.
Yet at the same time, I can get to a location, and its completely different to what I suspected, Wheal Coates for example was so much more hilly than what I thought it would be - I also address it in a video that's coming up, about Long Exposures... I find them so easy here, because there isn't that much surf, whilst the waves create so much down in Cornwall, I actually find them a touch harder.

@@neilstevensphotography sounds counter productive but I always travel up to Bristol via M5 and then down to Kent via M4 and M25, missing all that traffic (usually) you should do an expectation versus reality video.

Yeah I think its only about an extra 30-miles that route... I never trust how problematic the motorways can be either, think its a lose / lose situation really, your ending up in traffic which ever way you go.
Not a bad idea for a video though!!
