- A thought I had while playing the Luigi's Mansion 2 remaster.
Gaming journalism gets a bad rap these days, often times for good reason, but we need honest and consistent gaming coverage now more than ever. The industry is in overdrive and we only have so much time and money.

it sounds like with paid reviews we are stepping closer to the video game crash again.
@@aruce9 hopefully not!
Yahtzee and Dunkey were always more of comedic reviewers to me rather than serious. People and platforms with large traction and followings will ultimately make or break a game. But at the end of the day it's up to personal taste which someone can only get from a hands-on experience. Demos in games do a great job of that. Maybe if you did a video on why some games have demos and others don't that could be cool.
That's a super interesting idea, appreciate it. I always think of the original DOOM spreading via shareware as the big example of the power of a playable demo.
02:06 I would say Link’s Awakening is more reasonable at that price point, it’s a complete, from the ground up remake, unlike the others, I’d say that one was worth the price point
@@Nicolas-gt2dj you’re definitely right they did more to remake links awakening compared to Luigi’s mansion/Donkey Kong.
In links awakenings case I felt like $60 was questionable because they didn’t add new content, but its arguable
This video is very well done
@@dominicyeomans8107 appreciate the feedback
if you want reviews of nintendo games i recommend finley (JustThatFinley) who does short 60 seconds reviews of games (mostly Nintendo games) (he doesn’t have loads but they are still good reviews) and he’s not sponsored by Nintendo or any other company
@@Fish-123 thanks for the tip. I never heard of him, will check it out
Nice video dude!
@@jandrocabello thank you!
I don't know who to trust anymore!?!?!
@@CrazyKob3617 its crazy out there
I will defend LM2hd with all my soul but most of these points are valid and agreeable
@@KatFisherMen I ended up getting Luigi’s mansion 2 in the end and was happy with it. Especially since I never played dark moon I thought it was worth it for me
It’s a remaster not a remake but that doesn’t excuse it
@@cristianromero5945 true

@@sus-floppa very understandable. I still follow because I can’t help myself, I more just don’t take what they say that seriously anymore
