Thank you for all you do to help us build our eternal house! I too struggle with mental prayer but it is a work in progress. God bless you both and the beautiful family you have.
I had been asking God for quite some time what his will was for my life. I would hear in my heart " be my feet." I took that to mean do my work on earth. ❤ I decided to volunteer at a pregnancy center and have been abundantly blessed by the young ladies I counsel there. 🙏🙏🙏
The analogy of building a house and relating it to eternity blew my mind! I obsess over clean floors and cooking the perfect meal when it’s all fleeting! I need to put that energy into my salvation
Your analogy about building a house resinates with me. What I am doing to build my eternal house. How am I treating my treasures? Am I sending then ahead of me? Thinking here...
The mortification of bad thoughts is a good penance, to refuse those thoughts which cause us to think uncharitably about others, especially affecting our family relationships. The tendency to be over critical. The Word of God tells us to fix our minds on that which is good and true and praiseworthy and beautiful. When a bad thought comes, it is a suggestion of the enemy of our souls, which we can reject. The prayer that can be said is ' I reject this thought with all my heart, in the Name of Jesus, thought begone!"
You are such an inspiring couple. How I wish I could've had this opportunity to listen to a couple like you when I was bringing up my family. Thank you so much for being faithful Catholics. May the Lord continue to bless you!!
Thank You Ken and Jenelle. What stood out for me the most is that "we need to 'ask JESUS for the GRACES that we need, and to Meditate is very important, so that JESUS/HOLY SPIRIT Can light up what we need to focus on, in relation to becoming perfect. 🙏❤️🙏💕💕💕
❤❤❤ the moment i understand Matthew 7:7 my whole life changed for good. Asking God is the best we can do for all aspect of our life ... your youtube channel is an answer for my prayer as well ...bless you both
Thank you, Ken and Jannelle. It's so good to see both of you and to see that Ken is back as his normal self. You were in my prayers for healing during my daily rosary and see that hope and healing touched you. Both of you and your family continue to be on my daily rosary as part of the Catholic Social Media folks I follow and pray for. Thank you and God bless.
Thank you Ken and Janelle! Wow powerful thoughts this morning and call to ask the Lord for all the graces! You bright a smile to my morning and am inspiration to meditate with our Lord!
LOL that is the first thing I thought after you read that quote, what is importunity...and yes I was going to pause the video and google it..LOL...thanks for the explanation!
St. Therese reminds us to love God with the little things. The Rosary, Scripture Reading, and listening to preaching at Mass should help us with mental prayer I pray my Rosary daily. When I was a child, I remember asking Santa Claus for things I wanted and I knew I may get it. That set the stage for my spiritual life. Now I remember I am God's Child and He wants me to come to Him the same way I did Santa Claus when I was a child. Aside note I love Santa Claus traditions which came from St. Nicholas and have no problem letting kids believe but we must keep grounded in our faith. It's Jesus birthday and we need to keep that in mind while we're having fun with the secular traditions. Snickerdoodle anyone?
This is really great. I am pregnant with my 4th child (4th girl) and have really increased my prayer, been having some anxiety about the state of this world. Is the rosary a form of mental prayer?

Wonderful! Thank you for sharing. God bless your work at the pregnancy center.
It is true and insightful to remember that the difficult person(s) in our life may be the instrument God is using to help us grow in Grace. 🙏🏻😇
Thank you for posting this. I needed to hear it! God bless you.
Indeed!

My wife was laughing as Janelle took the words out of her mouth asking about the definition.
lol!!!
Thanks for reminding me to ask and keep asking. The one thing that is super hard to ask God for is forgiveness, I guess we feel we don't deserve it.
Thanks for sharing Patti. God bless.

This is really great. I am pregnant with my 4th child (4th girl) and have really increased my prayer, been having some anxiety about the state of this world. Is the rosary a form of mental prayer?
Hi Dawn - great question. Yes, the Rosary can be a form of mental prayer when one places their mind and heart upon the mysteries of the Rosary.
❣️🕊❣️
Mental prayer through the Rosary and other prayers to Our Lord God. Not yoga or any thing that is not of God.
