emx.x I had a blunt cut bob a few years ago, and I actually preferred it after that first wash. Hairdressers straighten and style it within an inch of it's life and I found that after I washed it, it lifted the roots and it had proper volume again.

I cringed SO much when the hair stylist told her to always skip conditioner!!! What about any tangles?! If she is afraid of it getting weighted down then just use a silicone free conditioner that is light weight. Her hair is going to become extremely dry and not soft without conditioner. Especially since she will now be using heat tools consistently. (Hair dryer and flat iron). Also she needs a light leave in conditioner with heat protection.
I’m a licensed cosmetologist and I don’t know any hair stylist that would recommend skipping conditioner!!! 😬😭 awful advice

If you look at her original long hair, she didn't put any effort into it. She is a low maintenance type. This bob is very high maintenance. This was not a good choice for her routine. Wait until her ends stick out, the top gets matted, and she doesn't want to have to blow dry and straighten it.
Sarah Campbell I totally agree with you. I had this type of a bob haircut and I’m also a low maintenance person. I also have super thick and wavy hair. It was a nightmare for me to style this haircut. I had to wake up one hour earlier and to be honest my hair still looked like a frizzy nest. It looked good only right after a salon visit... It was too high maintenance and not versatile at all. I looked exactly the same every day (no ponytails, no buns, no braids...) and every day I looked like a mess, because I’ve never learnt to style this cut properly...

Francesca Taddia yeah it’s kinda common for short hair. when my hair is short i can’t condition because all the volume will be gone. you can do it like once a month but i usually don’t until my hair grows at least past my shoulder. The ends don’t really need the care until your hair is longer and that’s just tea.

Well, for girls with curly hair- the majority of them have to condition in order for them to have moistured hair
Some girls with thick and straight as the girl presented can omit the conditoner but I recommend to use lightweight conditoner if you have wavy fuzzy hair

i know, i've had short hair my whole life, now its a little past my shoulders. my hair is pretty thin so it gets very flat, but it's also curly so if i don't condition it then a dreadlock starts to form in the back of my hair, and even with conditioner i can barely get a comb through lol

But there are women like me and the girl from the video who have thick, coarse, wavy and frizzy hair that doesn’t tolerate short lengths (every haircut that ends above the shoulders or even at the shoulders looks like a mess without styling it with heat tools- every morning). Hairstylists should inform their customers (who have similar hair type to hers and mine) about the disadvantages of having short hair...

Yep she did, short hair girls dont really need conditioner. Conditioner weighs down hair and can cause build up which reduces shine. The scalps natural oils are sufficient. I have longer hair and When I wash my hair I only condition the ends (like the last 3 to 4 inches or so)
@@DollarTreeDinners Her hair is still decent enough for conditioning. Not like add a glob to it but a teeny bit for the ends. If it was way shorter than that it was was a pixie cut or any length more closer to the scalp, they wouldn't need any at all .

I've had my hair in a sharp chin length bob with a straight fringe for almost all my life, I switched it up sometimes and let it grow out but I always ended up cutting it again. Cutting your hair short really is nothing special anymore, most people have all gone super short in 2018 so I'm not blown away with this.

She is her own person, obvi she's not trying to BE Kylie, she's taking inspiration from her style, if we can't draw inspiration from each other then we would all probably end up the same wouldn't we? I liked it after on her, but i have also fallen in the cutting your hair short trap. You love it once the hair dresser cuts and styles it... But the regret comes in after you need to style it. It also means for short hair to look good you need to style it everyday nearly, which damages it and because you don't have salon products its not as effortless. Plus when it grows it grows into that awkward length stage that is a nightmare.
