Just so Achara and Kristen know there’s no “being worthy” that’s a marvel thing in gowr and actual Norse myth the hammer is just insanely heavy and hard to lift
It’s not super heavy in gow but it is seemingly unstoppable once it’s thrown
Yeah, Thor even has to wear a magical belt and gloves to lift it because of how heavy it is
Odin and Thrud raised with one hand
Well, the belt and gloves are from the myths. But it looks like the one in the game isn't as heavy. The only reason Kratos wasn't able to hold it was because he tried grabbing it when Thor threw it at him, and it is said to be unstoppable once thrown.
Well yeah in some stories the hammer is like just Thor can hold it or in other stories sometimes is just like very heavy,
It's sad you guys dont even know why Mimir said 'A hole, it gets bigger the more you take away' before Kratos got the spear Brok gave him that riddle and Mimir only just solved it. Even the quote "its not the form but the nature" was from Brok and thats why Kratos said it back to him when he wanted his blessing
Yup. Whoever edited the video they were reacting to should go to jail.
@@BuddyChyagreed
Gameclips was not the edit to watch@@BuddyChy
I got no idea why I watched them watch 7 hrs of a game cut scenes but I did and they seem to enjoy it… well last clip I found 2 reasons
fr, jesus
47:00 Kratos mural is special, when Odin said that Kratos doesn't know what the feeling of being worshipped and loved because he's a bad God before and now seeing that mural of people worshipping him made me emotional.
true 😭
God of War Ragnarok : Valhalla is a must watch to complete this journey!
They missed so much story with not watching chains and ghost of Sparta and so much dioluge in the game that idc if they watch it. Knowing them they won't get valhalla
@@kelzavala6181 I haven’t played them either, and I still fully enjoyed the story and gameplay
I agree it adds something special to the end of this game.
@@kelzavala6181I think Valahalla’s story does plenty enough to allow anyone to understand and appreciate it. They’ve seen enough as well to get most of it.
Plz!
The biggest reason why Sindri is so overwhelmed with Brok's death is that because Sindri was only able to retrieve 3 of his 4 soul parts from the light of Alfheim, now that Brok has died again, without all his soul parts, his soul can't find the light of Alfeim and therefore Brok has been denied an afterlife. That's why Sindri was able to resurrect him once before and can't this time. This is a detail that this compilation didn't show.
I didn't realise this. Not having an afterlife... Damn.
But, yeah when Brok eventually died, then his soul wouldn't be able to reincarnate anyway. So that's on Sindri, we're not promised today or tomorrow. I'm sure Sindri thought he could correct his mistake before he died again, but he never got the chance. Sindri is more passed off with his own mistakes then Atreus and Kratos, he just hasn't realized it yet
That’s very depressing. On the bright side though, Brok doesn’t seem like the kinda guy who would give much of a shit about an afterlife. He seemed content at the end.
The ending to this game is phenomenal, and seeing Kratos at his most vulnerable as he says goodbye to his son is surreal. The writing and execution of his entire arc are nothing short of a masterpiece. You guys should also check out the GOW Ragnorok: Valhalla DLC cutscenes, as they act as an epilogue to Kratos's story.
27:34
Notice the way they are sitting and how similar Odin looks to Kratos in this scene.
This is what was depicted on the mural. (Some believe Atreus changed the outcome to be Odin instead of Kratos)
WOW! I didn't recognize that man that's cool, and I can't swear by this but doesn't the mural have Thor in it? Like Kratos dies during the fight with him? Because the wound he has isn't his axe it would be Thor's hammer wouldn't it?
Not that that changes the theory I'm asking for clarification for myself.
got one destroyer instead of the other eh?@@alexanderthegreat5649
@@alexanderthegreat5649 Yes, in the mural Thor is standing over them. You can see what looks like a soul coming into Atreus or leaving him.
It’s obviously Kratos in the original mural but they made a clear choice for him to hold Odin in the same manner and take his soul.
@BrandonWestfall
Ah cool!
@@BrandonWestfallyeah Odin and Kratos are both bald bearded men so close enough haha
58:44 that was actually Mimir figuring out a riddle Brok gave him earlier that stumped him. What gets bigger the more you take away?
the ending shrine gets me every time... him trembling from the fact that he will finally be worshiped and loved as a god. Ive been playing god of war from the start and that made me ball like a baby
Edit; also brings back the line Odin said to him about being loved and worshiped by mortals
I didn't even play em I just knew all of the backstory most of the basics, and it still got me! Just from the journey of 2018 and this 1
The previous lines of "the gods can't be trusted, they don't care about anyone, what do you know about being a God? Has anyone ever loved/prayed to you?" All that stuff came to mind when it showed people actually loving him and his subtle but major being it's Kratos breakdown.
Mimir isn't holding back with all the trash talk in the middle of the fight with Odin. He inflicted more damage to Odin than Kratos, Atreus and Freya combined. Emotional Damage!
Out of all God of War Games, this literally is the best ending for Kratos🔥🔥 What a Masterpiece Game 💯😌
Y’all should seriously consider watching the raising kratos documentary. It’s digs into the development of the reboot and how challenging it was to get it made.
I hope they consider it.
Yup! It’s super good they should def check it out
Tjats what I put in one of there videos
They're not gonna watch it they don't even read the comments
i swear to god nobody knows what a reboot means
"Is he worthy?"
That's just a MCU thing. In every other forum anyone can wield Mjolnir.
Anyone strong enough, that is
@@Tvdvidro Yes. The damage that Marvel have done to people's perception of Mjolnir is a dis-service
@@Ljethan Also, when the MCU made people think Loki is Thor's brother lol
@@venomfuryx3250and made Thor as Freya's son

You need to see the Valhalla DLC for the true ending.
No, the funeral IS the "true ending" The Valhalla DLC explores Kratos's part, not his present
@@Ashurman666 Valhalla dlc is an epilogue so yes it's a part of the main story
@@takerukurosawa2337 An epilogue is not a "true ending".
@@Ashurman666Valhalla takes place after the main story, but ya the funeral is the true ending on the main game
@@Ashurman666 ik but it's an epilogue to the main story
To answer your question about the companion characters (Freya/Atreus) you can control them to some extent.
They both have their own unique abilities/summons and can swap arrow types to modify the type of damage they do.
A good example is when an enemies is in the air you can stop their animation by throwing your axe at them or using your companion to shoot them.
You definitely gotta watch the cutscenes of the recently released Valhalla DLC for God Of War Ragnarök. It delves deeper into Kratos's past and what he saw in the mural after Atreus left.
A big thing this skips is they find the real Tyr after Odin's death. He is decidedly not like the fake Tyr Odin portrayed. He is not broken and still a confident, wise and kind person.
Kristen laughing at cara crying was funny af
Achara*
i cant wait for them to see the ending to Valhalla ! THAT was one of the most amazing performances ive ever seen
i still wish Thor survived, you can tell that despite his actions he truly loved his family and wouldve changed for them
i believe he had the same destiny as Athena. Their death were similar, dying to protect someone. Perhaps he ascended to a higher plane of existence somehow
Lmao he's dead get over it🤣🤣

As others have said, I also want to say that the shrine at the end showing Kratos being loved and worshipped is a beautiful thing. His entire life had been nothing but pain and misery but in the end people see that he is more than what others saw, more than what he, himself, saw. I have played every God of War game and I have to say that it is my most favorite franchise ever. I absolutely love the character that is Kratos.
The reason Kratos escaped his fate of dying is because he made the choice to be better. To stop seeking vengeance, and instead seek justice.
Btw really hope you guys react to the incredible Valhalla DLC🙏
but in a sense he didn't escape, Thor was to kill Kratos and he actually did. He just brought him back saying he wasn't finished, he basically defibrillated him, but Kratos was dead, hence the game over loading screen. Think thats also why Thor said when he left " your debt has been paid". bc there was nothing else, no debt paid in Kratos just showing Thor his GoW rage. all a matter of perspective.
@@gregpl9363The mural in Jotunheim clearly shows the events of things happening before Ragnarok. For example, Atreus meeting Heimdall. Kratos was meant to die in battle against Thor, during Ragnarok. It was due to him changing in battle, that allowed him to change his fate.
Odin did a lot of dirt, but the worst was what he turned Sindri into
I was crying a little bit when Atreus left…when Kratos looked at the mural I was full on open mouth ugly crying lol
Its almost amazing how many people I watch play this game and never stop and talk to the Valkyries on the way out of the base.
Part of what makes Freyr stick out as a good guy to those that play the game, over those that watch the cutscenes... There is a whole part of Alfheim behind Tyr's temple full of side quests. Most of the writings and a whole temple in that area is for Freyr, and both Light Elves and Dark Elves revered him.. Also while clearing the Einherjar that Angrboda mentioned on the way to the double shrine, Kratos learns that there is something in Niflheim. When you get there, there is a new path that leads to a prison that fell from Asgard. While running around you can hear moaning, it is Sinmara mourning Surtr. Getting to the bottom of the prison, you find Tyr locked up. He remembers hearing about Kratos when he traveled the world, letting you know this Tyr is different. Odin needs live subjects to disguise himself. Tyr walks all the Realms upon learning that Odin was killed and only Asgard falls. Going back to the sands of Alfheim you find Thrud and Mjolnir, which Thrud is able to wield being worthy of it. Also at the beginning of the game Odin pays for the damage Baldr did to the house with a coin, that Krtos throws away. Skjoldr learns this from Atreus. After the game you can go back to the derelict outpost, a side quest. Skjoldr is seen trying to pry something out of the rock pillar. He mentions that Atreus told him you threw a coin away. Skoldr is a man who becomes king of Denmark.
Remember how in the beginning, atreus said "i dont wanna hurt anybody, i just want answers"
And now at the end hear Odin... who just wanted answers. Just like him.
There's some epilogue content with their own cutscenes are story story before getting to Vahalla, going to Vanaheim (finding out what Faye did as a warrior), Gna is Muspelheim, and the remnants of Asgard, which you can find out what really happened to Tyr. As of this and Vahalla, this is the finale the Norse side of the series, I think there will be plenty of carry over from this, but the next game will be another pantheon and world, just don't know where it's going, but we'll be here for it.
And it was Faye’s marble that Atreus trapped Odin in. In a way, Faye did play her part in Ragnarok too
This has been one of the best series on this channel. Thank you both!
Just a recap about the Giant Snake.. the Snake that Atreus put a giant life into it is the same snake we met in the earlier game.. the moment we saw the Snake fight with Thor in this and it look like he vanished away, thats when Thor sent him back in time, where he would be in the earlier game.
Thor sent him much before the time Atreus and Kratos meets him.
After this you must watch God of War Ragnarok 'Valhalla' DLC where Kratos met his past
Kratos getting the feels, seeing himself as a loved god, is so dope. Shows so much progress in his character. When he was told by Zeus (I think?) that he’s nvr been worshipped and loved as a god. Then he sees that. So great.
Love when Kratos admits he was wrong, as a parent there is no book or guideline. Everyone parents differently and every parent makes mistakes. To be a perfect parent is impossible. Such a big moment
What gets bigger the more you take away?
A hole.
The hole in Sindri's heart is too big for them to fill now. He really lost everything.
The next game for reaction could be the Uncharted saga
Kratos literally almost broke down when he saw that last shrine.
So just to let yall know this is post game content where they DO FIND the real Tyr
Achara: Get out of the red area 😥
Thor: shut the f*ck up 😂😂
was great rewatching these stories with u guys
Final kratos and atreus emotional 😭❤️
Now god of war Ragnarok DLC Valhalla 🎉🎉
13:22 LoL achara are you sympathetic with or mocking thor. Damn!!! That's cold as ef!😂😂
As Pandora said hope is what make people strong that last painting where kratos cries looking at it is him.being represented as the god of hope
well thanks for the reactions .... even tho you missed the most important dialogs from the story but still it was a joy watching it with you. PS: chose another cutscene channel to do reactions.
Now you guys have to watch the DLC of Ragnarok its finishes Kratos story full circule. You guys will def enjoy it!
You gotta give Richard Schiff, the actor for Odin, some credit. He took on the role of Odin because his son wanted him to. And boy, he delivered.
the score of this music is just phenomenal
@ 54:11 the Dwarf holding the Musical Instrument i think it was Bear Mcreary
18:09 you can see that if you make comparation between Baldur's speech to his mother, Freya and Freya's speech to Odin is similiar.
They HAVE to watch the Valhalla DLC now
You guys should watch the cutscenes for the Gow:Ragnarok Valhalla DLC, as it continues the story and is meant to serve as an epilogue to the base game.
I'm always here for you too, mostly Kristen and her laugh, lol. 🤣😁☺️🖤
"Destroy it!"
That was my exact thought, when it looked like Atreus was going to put the mask on, I was just about to say break it before he snapped it in half. There are just things we are not meant to know.
And to answer your question about controlling Atreus/Freya, you don't control them much, just push square to make them shoot and hold square to use their special attack, also seitch between Sonic and Rune arrows.
There is a next part to this, Valhalla available right now in same gameclips channel. Just a hour i guess. I recommend doing that. Which has the best reactions in youtube
After watching all of your videos on God of war you earned my respect and a subscription
Loki's Mask disappears, Jim Carry finds it.
These two girls cried during the most obvious scene but what really was super emotional was the scene afterward when Kratos sees his destiny in that mural.
The silent cry of Kratos speak volumes.
You need to watch the Uncharted series, it is very cinematic with great characters.
BUT NOT FROM GAMECLIPS!!!😂
@@FluffyJackiedefinitely 😂
A God, a Queen, a Head and a brother...bowed to a dwarf with 3/4 of a soul.
A comment I read long ago
2:30-2:35😂
That doesn't help your case, Atreus!
One point to be made about Sindri, he is usually obsessed with being clean, but if you noticed, he hasn't cleaned his armor since his brother's death.
I was really hoping that they could have addressed Sindri in DLC, but we did get Valhalla (which I highly recommend watching).
Maybe the next DLC or game with Atreus. I really really want Sindri to have closure.
Did you know that Raeb (musician character in the Svartalfheim) is based on Bear McCreary, the composer of the game. «Raeb» is «Bear» written backwards.
Imagine if he did the revive bug in this cutscene. And the dead Brok just following Kratos like Atreus.
And when you enter that cutscene he just lie back down like nothing happened.
55:33 since Brok didn't have all his soul parts when he died, there is no afterlife for him, only eternal death
Definitely need to watch the Valhalla dlc!
also the line at asgards wall, "we are going for JUSTICE, not vengeance."
The one thing I love about Odin's portrayal in this game in how unrelenting he is about is obsession. Thor is beyond flawed and has done monstrous things, but even he in the end is able to see reason.
Odin does not and will not. The best example of this is when Atreus says "You can choose to be better" and Odin replies immediately and without hesitation "no I can't."
46:40 Kratos' shrine reveals that he'll become the God of Hope. At least that's what I think
Achara's emotional intelligence is just next level❤
One thing this compilation leaves out is that you can find Thrud later on for a small scene, where she finds Mjolnir
I cant speak for other gamers, but even after conquering everything I keep playing bc if I worked that hard i obviously enjoyed the game and it's fun to play it again and sometimes on harder difficulty but this game has alot of ng+ content that u have to start it over but with all ur stuff allowing for easier completion but being able to unlock more stuff. This game was amazing and it's story top tier, glad to see ur journey through this.
This has been an amazing journey thank you both for your commitment to these reactions 💜
So the thing is with Sindri, is that when he brought Brok back to life and lost a part of his soul... Brok can not go to the afterlife. which means no hel nor Valhalla... he is forever lost in the void gone. Sindri will no longer see him in life or in death. the part with "the hole" was a riddle brok gave mimir to solve. mimir tried to get kratos to help him. so there is alot of missed context from the dialogues between cinematics.
33:10 yeah, you can even see her find and use it later on
To put it plain and simple, the ending where he sees the mural. Kratos was always mocked for being the God who was feared, never worshipped or received love from mortals - even Odin says that. The mural shows Kratos receiving food (presents which were given to gods by mortals as a sign of their love). Kratos is seen as a protector, a true God you can worship by the nine realms. The Valhalla DLC wraps it up beautifully, you two should react to that too - Karthik
People say there should be a movie but nothing could ever top the games combined story
Still need to do the Valhalla DLC cut scenes and Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus. If you want to know everything
Theres an epilogue, the true ending, god of war ragnarok: valhalla.
Mimir answering broks riddle at the end and the answer it’s self is just sad 😢 rlly hope this becomes like a 3poece movie in the future, the rising warrior, the revenge seeker, and finally the father
Phenomenal content ladies.👏🏾👏🏾 would love to see y’all take on The Last of Us 1&2.
Please people. get them to watch Valhalla cos its about kratos's true redemption and confronting his demons!
I think that if Sindri spends time with his fellow dwarves, he will eventually heal. If he stays isolated, then yeah...he will only fall deeper.
Cool fact but the guy playing the music at Brok's funeral is 'Bear McCreary' the guy who did the music for the game
Every time I see Kratos looking at his mural, it breaks me always
46:40 Odin said he would never be loved by mortals and now they do according to the shrine
Gamers usually don't sell the game. There are side missions, plus once you beat the game. You unlock different weapons that are not in storyline. Plus new modes, the number of times you beat the game, the more stuff you unlock.
It is for every gow game from gow1 to latest one.
Been looking forward to this
❤
You need to watch to the new DLC from ragnarok too!
Its called valhalla and it plays after this game!
Our fav shirt is back! Let’s go !!
There is still more to see before the Valhalla btw, visiting the girl with Fenrir and Atreus in Ironwood, what happened to the world serpent after Ragnarok and to Ragnarok's mourning wife, Thrud taking and using Thor's hammer as for some examples.
27:50 notice that this is the final panel on loki’s mural it was odin dying in his arms all along and not kratos
you miss the part when they found the real tyr in niflheim 😂
You should also check out God of War Valhalla
26:28 We all OG GOW fans knew Kratos could have single-handeledy easily beaten & brutally killed Odin if he wanted to, but just because he is not that killing machine anymore, he let Atreus & Freya tag alongside him!
The impact of that ending for Kratos comes back around to something Odin said, basically that Kratos didn't know what it was like to have people worship him, to love him. He was just death and destruction. And Kratos has always believed that of himself. That he was for all intents and purposes, damned. Now for the first time Kratos has forgiven himself at least in part for his past, the horrible mistakes he made and the terrible acts he committed. He sees the path now to becoming a just god, one of hope and creation. rather than death and destruction.
The guests has to almost force cry when they turn to Achara. 😂
