  • The shot that took tennis by storm: the SABR (Sneak Attack by Roger)! Federer used this new shot in Cincinnati to great success back in 2015 and used it frequently in the fall the same year. Since then Federer only used it occasionally. I gathered every single successful SABR attempt from Roger - no lost points are included. I think and hope I got them all when it comes to official tournaments. I hope you guys enjoy this video and if you'd like to support me so that I can invest more of my time into making the videos, I'd be super grateful: www.buymeacoff...

here's my latest argument for Fed GOAT. The PERFECT tennis player will be the one that can exploit the ANGLES to precision. What's the most important stroke in tennis? The serve. Serving is more about Angles than Speed. If a player can Ace every serve by placing it at the exact angled corner, that would the true GOAT of tennis. Period. No hitting back and forth. Nothing. Just Aces. Win Slams every time. So this brings me back to Federer. Fed is the greatest player in history to exploit those Angles. The one-handed backhand is designed for it. Fed just wants to shorten the game (which as explained is the ESSENCE of tennis). Not the endurance. Not the Bull mentality. Short angled ball placement is how you break the game of tennis. Fed's serve isn't known for speed but its precise placement followed by a 2nd angled return if needed. Fed's won point tend to be much faster. The SABR is another example of the Master demonstrating this to break tennis. The goal of the game is to shorten time by increasing angles. This is why Fed is as close to GOAT as you can get.

Ahh, it was special and such a clever attack on several points: firstly, it disrupted the rhythm of the player. Secondly, it took time away from them to react, 3 it messed with their head a little because you can see the reactions of the opponents afterwards. 4 it put in doubts of just rolling in a second service and finally, perhaps a little bit of cock-waving. Unless you were a Kyrgios or a Monfils on an either bored or inspired day, virtually no other player had the invention to do this. Would love to know the win/loss percentage on this.
And people wonder why we miss him.
Congrats on the 100+k subs, Raz...

Noting all the comments re Djoko's 2 lobs. Yes its the obvious thing to do, as u can see in this viddy- plenty others used that tactic too- but just not everyone can manage to do it effectively against The Maestro. 😊

Only GOATs can change the game! Incredible. More surprising that the SABR didnt seem to take off. Probably because its insanely hard to do. Take a 150mph serve, now move up 10ft closer?! RF is still the best ever.

Why the controversy? Why is sneaking in not being “sportsmanlike?” What tennis law says you have to stand ten feet in back of the baseline? You don’t like it, blame your lame serve, not Federer. Murray is the one being unsportsmanlike and whiney by barking at Federer about it. Is the drop-shot unsportsmanlike? Same principle.
