    I'll probably get a lot of hate for this comment but for me Roger will always be the greatest ever. Never seen a player make the game look so easy and effortless, never seen a player make nor even attempt some of the shots he can. Sure record and statistics will say Novak is the GOAT which now he undoubtedly is but for me personally, no one will supplant Federer.

      Tbf, Roger and Rafa, who were already both Titans in the mid 2000’s cancelled out each other before Novak peaked. If weak era argument is true, then the current one is the weakest of all, and its exactly the reason why Novak is bagging slams and masters.

    Without doubt, Federer is the most talented, beautiful, vesatile, well behaved player ever to play tennis. Variety of shots he plays, is far more than combined of Nadal or Novak. His service, volley , stop volley, backend, forehand and dropshots are very pleasing to watch. To play for 20 over yrs with very high consistency is simply amazing. And above all, he is very humble, down to earth always easy going with his fans and media. We hardly read or hear people say bad things abt him. It is astonoshing to know that he has never retired half way in 1250 plus matches he has played. This shows how much he loves Tennis.. No other player has this effect on public past 50 yrs plus. No wonder he gets so much love, respect and attention from Reporters, players and public. He also got Fans favourite player award for mind blowing -19 times- Even if Novak or Nadal wins 25 Slams, they can never match talent, skill, charishma, elegance and popularity of Federer. Novak may go down as Goat but Federer is Lion (the king who rules).>>>>

      The most naturally gifted GREAT tennis player. There’s plenty of hyper talented players out there with unlimited shot making skills. What separated Roger from them was his consistency, fundamentals and other basics that allowed him to use his talent to his full potential. At the end of the day it’s ultimately about winning and Federer was one of the greatest winners of all time, but that’s due mostly to things other than magical shot making skills

    A good observation about Roger Federer! His gifts and his match fitness allowed him to display the great capacity he had to play brilliant tennis without extraordinary means. He skimmed along the courts the way an eagle skims along the sky, and he hit the balls with the same precision that eagles display when swooping for their prey. Just exhilarating.

    • @tennnis498
      @tennnis498 Рік тому +2

      Finally! I’ve always thought of him to be a raptor-like apex predator. A broad wingspan with no extra muscle, and the way he opens his upper body whether it is serving or volleying, is very powerful. His combination of instinct and athleticism meant when he came to the net, he often won the point. Always a top 5 server, he had a good jump up and forward, and the ball came off his racket with a brisk snap generated by his torso. (And his back gave him problems at one point). Whether jumping or moving forward to take the ball earlier, Fed was about early action and interception. Yet he looked so absolutely relaxed while making the most ridiculously good shots.

      There’s many people with skill sets like Roger. There’s countless players on tour with magical shot making skills, flair, and elegant technique. The only thing that separates Fed from them was how good Federer was overall as a tennis player.
      To make it sound like his elegance and shot making skill was unmatched is just not true. His elegance and shot making skill was amazing but was combined with consistent winning. It’s really the winning and domination that people care about first, then they look back at how a player made them feel. But only for the greats. Nobody cares if Monfils hits 30 spectacular winners in a match if he loses in straight sets.

      Federer won 4 grand slams after 2010. 3 of those came in the time frame Djokovic was injured and out of the top 10 from 2017-2018. Federer was 2-10 against Novak in grand slams after Novak turned 22.
      Novak has better stats and everyone in pro tennis, including Sampras, McEnroe, Wilander, Nadal, etc knows he is the goat. Literally EVERYONE to the point where it’s not even worth mentioning it anymore. Let me just cite a few examples
      “I do think what Novak's done over the past 10 years, winning the majors, being consistent, finishing No. 1 for seven years, to me it's a clear sign that he is the greatest of all time”-Pete Sampras in 2021
      “Novak has that ability, which is part of the reason why he's the greatest ever.”-John McEnroe
      “It’s an impossibility to make a statistical argument against him being the best ever. It’s like proving gravity at this point. He’s now tied Margaret Court on 24 Slams but he wants all of the records, so he’ll want to get to 25.”-Andy Roddick
      “To me, [with] 24 [Grand Slam singles titles], it’s pretty evident that he’s best player of all time. He’s got the record and he’s probably got the best win-loss record against all the players against each other as well, and against the other top players.”-Pat Rafter
      “He has ended the debate over who is the greatest male player of all time.”-Tim Henman
      “Djokovic is the GOAT because the numbers tell it all. 24 SLAMS 96 singles titles. But he is on Mt. Rushmore because when you play the Serbian Sniper he made you RUSH MORE!”-Rick Macci
      I could go on for countless pages but Djokovic is the unanimous goat of tennis. Please, tell me anyone who’s of relevance in the last year saying Federer is the greatest of all time. I could search and find at least 100 people saying Djokovic, and would find nothing for Federer. Keep coping over those “style points” though

      @@mikemoggerson6651The past is set on stone and we can't change it. If we could tinker with time and placed them both at the same age, their career trajectory would be very different. Djokovic career timing has been to his advantage.
      Being 6 yrs younger allowed him to build himself up until Federer's level declined enough that when he himself reached his physical peak of around 24 years old he could then rise. Their careers may overlap by many years but Djokovic had a longer run way in his prime years that Federer had to deal with.

      @@kweizi5712 Djokovic is mentally tougher and a smarter player than Federer. That’s why he was able to achieve more. Has nothing to do with age. The older player should actually be more experienced in clutch situations, which was the opposite for Federer against Djokovic and Nadal. He was mentally imploding to Nadal even in the mid 2000s.

    • @georgekurien899
      @georgekurien899 Рік тому

      @@mikemoggerson6651There are so many factors at play that it's not that straightforward.
      1. Courts have been slowed down significantly, which plays to the advantage of baseliners like Djokovic and Nadal, especially on service return (one of Djokovic's primary strengths).
      2. Djokovic has won 16 out of his 24 grand slams since 2015. Both Federer and Nadal had injuries in 2016, and Murray had his hip injury in 2017. Wawrinka and Del Potro had their injuries in 2017-2018. All these players being out one way or the other have made it much easier for Djokovic. There is no way he could maintain this level if he was constantly having to do 5 setters every grand slam for the last 5 years.
      3. In terms of pure skill and talent, there is no question about the fact that Federer is better than Djokovic. The 2019 Wimbledon final is the best example of it, all the stats indicate that Federer should have won. Federer's mental strength being what it is, was the only reason that Djokovic won.
      All this to say that using stats to determine who the GOAT is is pointless.
      Watching Federer's game is by far more pleasing than it is to watch anyone else's (Wawrinka when he's in form is a treat to watch as well)
      There is no other player who is anywhere close to being as complete as Federer is, graceful as Federer is and as creative as Federer is, all with minimal effort.

    0:56, lol yeah right Paul Annacone (commentator), bring everything he got to the table? Not even close to his best. Most matches Federer won quite simple, only the serve of Raonic made it somewhat competitive scoreboard-wise. There were only some matches where Federer had some issues with Raonic. Raonic's prime was around 2015-2016 and still barely beat Federer. A good example is Wimbledon 2017, that was a full display of "everything Federer got" and Raonic got vaporized. They are not in the same league at all but at the time of this Brisbane match, Raonic was still considered a threat to the tour.

So many opportunities that he couldn't take. The one kink in his armor was that he'd get tight in the most important moments against the toughest opponents. To make matters worse for him, almost all courts were getting bouncier and slightly slower.

    Honestly it’s sad to see players like Hewitt, Roddick, Safin, Del Potro, Nalbandian and even Murray are considered players of the weak era while someone has won slams against Kyrgios lol. Not to mention the inconsistency of these players even Alcaraz. Roger was so good that he made these other players look like weak. I mean see his records.
    5 consecutive Us Opens. 1 final against Novak.
    5 consecutive Wimbledons.
    His 2005 was 91-5 lol
    But this is the strong era with players like Rune, Zverev, De Minaur and Kyrgios

    Roger is my favorite player to watch and I love him, but it’s sad most of his great plays come at not so important points… Like 30/40:0 or even between points. And for me it doesnt matter what you do at 40:0, it matters what you do at 5:5 in the tiebreak. Thats why to me Novak is the goat, because he is the most clutch, but Roger will always be someone I will watch highlights of from all these years. And don’t get me wrong, to be 2nd or 3rd greatest of all time is not that bad of an achievement! Cheers

      I believe Federer had the best tiebreak record in the open era until around the early 2010s. His tiebreak performance during his prime years was extraordinary. Even in 2013-2015, he won a lot of important tiebreaks including against Novak. Anyway Novak is definitely the most clutch in pressure moments but Federer was no slouch either. For me Federer remains the GOAT.

    Why are you jacking other people's ideas and series? There's someone on youtube - Burns Tennis - who has a seeies of " Sampras Casual Brilliance" and you straight jacked his shit.
    This isn't anything original, you're just taking from someone else. Come up with your own.

    • @RazOls
      @RazOls  6 місяців тому

      You should be careful how you phrase things you know nothing about. I didn't get the idea from that channel, which I've never heard about. I just checked, the videos from that channel has 7 000 and 6 000 views. You're kidding right, automatically assuming I watched them?
      If you want to know - you could have asked - I got the inspiration from a fellow UA-cam friend of mine called WivoRN Productions who had a series of Federer among the lines of "Federer Casually Handling Big Servers". The part about 10 minutes and brilliance I thought out myself. Is that explanation enough or should I be investigated more?
      I've had videos and content directly stolen from my channel countless times and I know how frustrating it is, so no, I don't go around and try to steal or copy exact things from others, no matter how certain you are that I'm one of 7 000 viewers (lol).

    • @johnblaze8808

      First of all I will phrase however I see fit, I am speaking truth. What are you going to do, have my comment removed, fine, run from truth.
      Secondly there are many videos that say "Casual" - a common word in the english language - search "Sampras cool, casual..." where he's compared to DiMaggio. Then you added the word "brilliance"
      The "Casual Brilliance" is something he put together, and I know where the phrase "Casual Brilliance", cause he told me feom whom and I also know where.
      And it's also ironic, and by that I mean suspect that you're Federer Casual Brilliance vida only came up after his Sampras Casual Brilliance.
      And I didn't say stole his video, but from everything that is apparent it sure looks likenyou jacked his title, idea and theme.

    • @RazOls
      @RazOls  6 місяців тому

      @@johnblaze8808 What I'm going to do? Well, I just responded earlier and wrote the reason why I made this video. It has nothing to do with the Sampras videos (which I hadn't even watched) but I understand that no matter what I say, you've already made up your mind. So what do you really want to discuss? Pour your hate out on my because you "just know" you are right?
      I have no intention of wasting my time on rude persons like you and I have no trouble keeping these messages online for everyone to see. I have nothing to be ashamed about when it comes to this video. Again, I've had videos, titles and content stolen time and time again and it's not something I'm wanting to do against someone else because I know the feeling. But of course, you "speak the truth" and know what went through my mind when I decided to make this video.
      Here's the video I got inspired by: ua-cam.com/video/SwPlnk_a0dc/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WivoRNProductions
      And yeah, if you don't want to come across as a Mr Know-It-All and a complete jerk by accusing people of things and when you are not one bit interested of what the other person has to say, then yes, go ahead and phrase your opening message like that. This is my last message responding to your accusations.

    • @johnblaze8808
      @johnblaze8808 6 місяців тому

      What do I want you to do? I could careless, but let's look at the facts. You said you got "casual" from that video and "brilliance" yourself, and decided to put them together... really?
      It's not a common phrase, and actually it's a specific phrase from someone and that's where that poster got it from. He admitted so and paid homage unlike yourself.
      That video is over a year old and yours is a month, and a Fed fan like yourself only saw that video a month ago... please.
      "We don't believe you, you need more people"
      -Jay-Z "Takeover"
      And as far has "hate pouring" I'm not the one commenting on the # of veiws of other vids. And by the way if you think the # veiws you get is attributable to you... it's not. You're not doing anything special. Fed videos will gain a lot of views due to the size of his fan base, which includes fanboys like yourself, not because of you. I can put a vid of naked woman on youtube and get a lot of veiws, and guess what? They wouldn't be watching for me.
      If you were doing anything special, you would be able to be more original.
