This is more of a personal figure since taxes are different for different people. I live in California, ~30% income tax on my W2, add in capital gain tax, sales tax, inflation (tax) - you will arrive at roughly 40%. It doesn't even include the regulations and mandates that force you to spend additional money on products and services you would otherwise acquire for lower costs, so the 40% figure is a gross underestimation. Examples are tariffs, regulations in the field of medicine, energy (video coming out next Thursday), and other anti-consumer measures that are not direct taxes but are additional expenses on people forced by bad governmental policies.
@@icarusfx I am sorry you feel that way, sorry for you. This is the speech based on which my video was produced, I recommend you watch it: ua-cam.com/video/8txLAkao6nI/v-deo.html
@@NotAnEconomist Milton Friedman, and people like him, are the reason that our planet is rife with pollution, our economy is wildly unequal, and we are looking at widespread societal collapse within the next thirty years unless drastic changes are made. Pure economic theories with no consideration for their impact on humanity and society are as much of a farce as any 10 minute video that mentions Orwell without recognizing the man was a socialist. Don’t mistake someone disagreeing with your opinions for someone not understanding your argument.
