Thanks a lot! Vray holds a lot of strong features which are sometimes a little hidden. I often learn how to use new maps for better results. I really appreciate your videos :)
Great content as always! I have one question though. I am using an older version of vray probably and in the normal map and the transfer function there is not an auto selection. What should i use instead? linear or custom gamma?
Is there any reason why it would look better in other programs like 3ds max? It seems like everything that has to do with nature and environments look a lot more realistic in 3ds max.
It a part of Vray 6 (Rhino version has nothing to do with it). So I would suggest updating Vray. Unfortunately - there's no way to substitute distance texture with anything else. Before it was implemented we used to hide the seams with plants/flowers/sticks/small rocks.
This is such a well-structured and clear tutorial, it's always a pleasure to learn from you. Thank you, sir!
Very glad to hear that! :)
God-tier lecture, learned a lot today. Thank you!
It's time to create now...
That's what I want to hear! Go and make something pretty! Bonus points if you show it to me via Twitter or Instagram (just tag me, and it'll pop up)

Yea, they are really really great at hiding the features! Welp, more content for me I guess
do you have a colour grading/photoshop post production tutotial? great video! thank you

Thanks for watching! Umm normal maps in Vray should always come in as Linear~
Alright, I learned how to incorporate Quixel Megascans here.
Quixel Megascans is the best!
Great content as älways ! Really appreciate how methodically you explain everything - quite a skill I would say ! Thanks :)
My pleasure!

Not really. Realism of the environment relies on quality of assets /foreground detail level
Did you experience the alpha turning black on some imports, and how do you fix that?
Hmm, nope.. tried to replicate the issue, but couldn't
@@DesignGoBrr Thanks I figured it out. Had to turn on Thinwall for it too work, there was a problem with translucency
Great video! I don't have distance as a texture in rhino 7 tho. Do you know if there is an alternative?

@@DesignGoBrr ah of course, makes sense! Thank you!
