That place is incredible!! 😯 I would love to go there one day! Thanks for sharing! 😊(Oh yeah, nice music in the beginning of the video when you started the tour) 😎
I did not get a chance to watch this until after tonight's AD show. I was wondering what you thought of that huge F-104? I had seen most of Mr. Pickerings video, thats where I first saw the giant F-4s. Both yours & Pickerings coverage of the expo were fantastic and informative.
Thanks Fred. The huge f104 was fantastic. It was very well powered with a large jetcat engine. Perfect power to weight ratio. The one glossy flight metal F104 that was the next size down flew well but it looked very underpowered with a JC220.
@@thelightersideofrc Was in frame 5 or 6 times. Should get credited... When it's a bit warmer next time, I'll wear my Lighter Side Hoodie. Hope you're return next time...
Pretty cool show, i'm jealous I wasn't able to go. I heard the part about thick wings vs. thin wings on the F-4. I don't know about the models, but Just so you know on the real F-4s the thickness of the wings has nothing to do with what part of the world they are in. Talking about the real aircraft all F-4Bs had thin main wheels, thus shallow wheel wells thus thin wings. These were the characteristics of the first production F-4s. when the USAF adopted the Aircraft, they wanted wider main wheels, which caused a deeper wheel well, thus the thick wing. The NAVY followed that idea with the F-4J. So every F-4C/D/J and E and all export F-4s have a wider tire and thick wing.

Thanks! Such a cool Show. I believe they said that there are 6 or 8 variants of the F4. Not just the 2 that most assume.
So sad I missed you there 😢
